Dominos pizza

I’ve ordered from these guys a couple of times now, but sadly this will be my last. The main reason I did in the first place was cause of the franks wings. Never really liked the pizza. Main reason being that the pizza just seems to come out burnt almost all the time, adding pepperoni to it makes it so greasy, oily and almost impossible to eat. This is the second time also that the delivery driver has forgotten an item from the order, so sorry Dominos, but I’m gonna be getting my wings and pizza elsewhere!

Surprisingly I’d never tried a Dominos Pizza until this evening. No particular reason, other that I stick to where I know and like when it comes to pizza. And this has never included a ‘pizza chain’. Anyhow — my day wasn’t going according to plan — car battery died in Dunboyne, phoned my car insurance breakdown assistance, would take an hour to ‘rescue’ me & my 3 hyper kids:-0 After waiting an hour, my husband came to the rescue before the real rescue man, and off I went! (the real rescue man phoned me over 10 minutes later wondering where I was!!). Husband came to the rescue for a 2^nd time, and stopped to get pizzas at Dominos in Ongar Village. We barged in our front door relieved to be home and have grub at the ready! BUT OMG — you cannot imagine our faces on opening the boxes — «UUGH» «YUCK» «BURNT» came the digusted, but polite comments from the 3 not so hyper anymore (due to hunger & tiredness) kids. My comments weren’t so polite! The bloody pizzas were black. The kids one, a margherita, was the worst, inedible in fact. The Hawaiian didn’t look as bad. I phoned the shop and explained that it was burnt — the guy said «they come out different everytime», but I again explaianed that we couldn’t eat this. He checked with the manager, and said, we’ll send a replacement. Took the address, and within about 10 – 15 mins, we had a replacement. The kids were shouting, «check it before he leaves!» We did — and it was a tad better than the first one! The delivery guy said — that’s normal. He didn’t take back the burnt one, so our of curiosity, I attempted to eat a slice, but it WAS burnt, it was inedible. No doubt about it, our eyes were working! The replacement was burnt looking, but we ate it, — WE WERE HUNGRY! The Hawaiian was the best of a bad lot. Oh, and the best bit was — these two LARGE size pizzas at Dominos would normally have cost 10 euro and 16 euro!!! That’s an insane 26euro for crap. But due to a promotion, we paid 20euro. FIRST AND LAST TIME FOR DOMINOS for me, my hunband said the same, and the kids said it was so bad and suggested putting a video of the pizza on you tube! We’re sitting here wondering how anyone would eat this food, and rave about it — I recall hearing people saying ‘oh, dominos are my favourite’ etc. Really bad quality, and overpriced. Go to an aunthentic little Italian and get as close as you can to a real Italian.
