My favorite pub in Cork. Creamy pints of Beamish, good crowd, and lively trad music 5 or 6 nights a week. There’s a great vibe inside, warm and friendly, the perfect place to meet buddies for a pint and take in some music.
Located right across the way from the old Beamish brewery, this is easily my favorite spot in the city.
My best memory here was on St. Patrick’s day, 2012. I got here by the late afternoon when the whole country was already sloshed. Although it was packed it was like the happiest place in the world. The tin whistler in the trad band playing at the time was TOOTING HIS TIN WHISTLE OUT OF HIS NOSE! AND HE WAS PLAYING REALLY WELL! An amazing sight to witness.
