The 9.45 bus from Whitegate this morning did not arrive at Upper Aghada and left a whole group of people stranded. The service here is already very infrequent. Missing medical appointments etc can cause major difficulties.

The number 8 bus for Mayfield was quite full as it left Patrick Street at noon today. The buggy spaces had been taken up but the helpful driver didn’t leave a late arriving mother behind and she travelled with the buggy folded.
Bus drivers sometimes come in for criticism but this courteous guy deserves praise. Towards the end of the trip, he helped a couple of «carers» unload a wheel-​chair bound passenger and made the exit even easier by dropping his ramp. Well done.
