Wanted to review The Fish Wife across the street, but not on Unilocal!

Fish Wife is an excellent Fish n Chipper! Great tasting crunchy batter. Good selection. And the Chips are cooked well, thick, crispy and not greasy. Service is kind and prices are excellent and servings very generous!
Order your fish and they’ll deliver it to the Cork Arms which is an awesome Pub!

The Cork Arms is an absolute gem on McCurtain Street — which by the way doesn’t get enough press. McCurtain Street is a great place to drink. I recently brought a group of seasoned south side drinkers on a crawl of McCurtain street and they were very impressed. It is a great street with great characters and history, plenty of little gems along the route.
The Cork arms always has a lovely atmosphere. The lady and gent that work behind the bar (always solo) are great craic and always appreciative of your business. Slightly cheaper pints that the rest of the city and outstanding service.
You can order your fish & chips from across the road and bring it into the arms from ‘The Fish Wife’ — recognized as one of the best chips shops in the country —
Have a game of pool or play some classics from the Juke Box — Or even enjoy a read from the book shelf,
Be it with a group or on your own, the Cork Arms is a great place to drink. Always full of characters and each visit is always unique!

A tiny little stop off on our pub crawl that hosted one elderly man who claimed a regular appearance and a single bartender behind what I would consider to be one efficient bar space for the size of the entire area.
It served it’s purpose of pouring me a fine pint, but with little action going on for a Thursday night, I would quickly reside my revelry elsewhere.

Lovely local pub, nice pint of Guinness, friendly bar staff and amusing locals. Order from the great fish shop (The Fish Wife) across the street and they will bring you your supper when ready.
