As take away food goes ramen is subpar. Three occasions in a row I’ve called in my order to be told it will take 20min which is perfectly fine. Yet I get there after the 20mins and the food seems to be ready. The girl at the counter says just a min but the confusion of 4 staff behind the counter and one on the pass gets lost in translation. Which Means that my food is put in the warmer for a further 30 mins I’m sitting waiting like a fool. Finally when someone relises that I’m waiting longer than people who have just come it some bright spark thinks to try find my order. Obviously cannot but smells the plastic of the take away pots in the warmer and finds my missing order. 3 times in a row. I spent € 41 in the restaurant last night and when I got home food was missing.

Alternative noodle bar which is a little hidden treasure! Lovely place to go for a healthy bite to eat! You can make your own ice cream cone at the end of your meal.

Good food, lots of choices. Good service. Not particularly authentic Asian but good flavors for Midleton.

There are a ton of Asian Street Food places popping up all over Ireland in the last couple of years but this was the one I’d heard the most about by far. Plonked right in the middle of student-central Cork, it’s the perfect spot for a place like this. The meals aren’t particularly cheap– about 11 euro is the base price, but they do a deal of 6 euro before 6 o’clock for their daily special. I stayed simple and just got a Pad Thai. It was dark and rich and absolutely delicious, huge portion and full of chicken. I guess I would have liked more vegetables but that’s more for my conscience than the taste. It comes with crushed peanuts on the side and a lime wedge to squeeze in– nice touch. It also comes with an ice-cream cone for you to dole out a 99 after your meal. Service is good, water is within easy reach, the place is clean. I’m glad I don’t go to college here, because I would be bleeding noodles.

This place is not bad for what it is. Keep an open mind that this isn’t «authentic» cuisine. This would probably be comparable to something like Noodles & Company, only better than that. Give it a shot on those lazy nights you don’t feel like cooking!

Pity there can’t be 0 stars as in option. I’m a foodie and I love cooking, including making my own Pad Thai which I love! The Pad Thai in this place tastes of too much burnt garlic and chilli. It was absolutely horrible and I couldn’t even finish it. Actually none of us could finish our food here! No favour at all. Will never go back there sorry

Cork’s ever-expanding Asian street food king. If you like digging through paper buckets of heavily seasoned chicken(I do), this is your spot. Ramen is crazy popular, but they’re quick with the takeaway if you can’t find a seat. They can be pretty quick too, you can go from hungry to Pad Thai-filled in about 10 minutes. Only downside is the location. It’s at the far end of Angelsea Street, well away from the city centre. A long walk if you’re not guaranteed a seat. The communal seating might not suit everyone either.

I guess 0 stars is not possible so gotta put it at 1 star. The short: the take-out food we ordered was not authentic and some of it was inedible. More details below if you care to read further. I’m a street performer who’s traveled around the world for shows & festivals. I’m also Asian, so know what I’m talking about when it comes to asian food. Having traveled as much as I do, I’ve eaten at many places where festivals occur, and have experienced both great food and horrible offerings; great values and rip-offs. We(street performers) are always looking for reasonable food places after a long day of performing. We tolerate below-average food if the value is there, and splurge occasionally for a decent night out. Being Asian, I tend to seek out familiar flavors. After working the festival in Cork, we decided to try a take-out/delivery from Ramen based on a great looking flyer menu with appetizing and authentic sounding names. We ordered Tom Ka Gai, Singapore noodles, and yellow Massaman curry with rice… All standard fare Thai, Malay or Singapore dishes. The delivery(ordered via online website) was quick. The positives ended there. Tom Ka Gai is a harmony of coconut, lemongrass, and spices with chicken(«Gai»); the Ramen version was like lemon juice and vinegar — and inedible. Even fishing out the chicken and vegetables out of the briny broth did not make it edible. Such a waste! Singapore noodles is a dry curry-based noodle dish that’s savory to slightly spicy; Ramen’s version is sweet??? My taste buds were confused… Think of looking at a fresh jalapeño pepper and about to take a bite expecting that hot pepper flavor, only to bite into it and taste cotton candy sweet… Huh? Sorry, Singapore noodles this was not. Finally, the yellow Massaman curry. It is supposed to be a peanut-coconut savory flavor combo. This was Ramen’s closest dish to something I’d expect in a Thai curry, though I tasted neither coconuts nor peanuts — and it was not yellow. It was more like a(very) mild sweet curry(I stretch to call it a curry here). Where I expected potatoes, I got pineapple? I’d call it a «version» of curry, but definitely not Massaman curry. All in all, there was nothing authentic in any of the dishes to even be considered a bad version of the actual dishes. Maybe their«ramen» noodles might be more authentic, but you can cook those up at home or in any college dorm. Ramen feels like someone reading a cookbook and substituting ingredients for things they don’t have — it just doesn’t work. All in all, skip this place if you’re looking for anything remotely authentic asian.

Comida asiática… Sencilla y muy buena… Precios decentes. Es uno de estos lugares donde puedes compartir la mesa mientras comes… Lo mejor de todo es que te regalan el helado de postre

Sells itself as authentic Asian food, and delivers on that promise. Without doubt it’s currently the best Asian Resturant in town. There is a great buzz when you walk in. It has a friendly relaxed atmosphere with a slightly hipster atmosphere . Only negative is they are too busy, waiting time for takeaway can be 45 mins on a weekend.
