Ate here last night with some coworkers and it was excellent. The place is small (maybe 10 tables). It can get a little noisy. But the ambiance is very comfortable and there is personal touch to the place. We had the seafood chowder, duck confit, steak, and fritto misto. Everything was top notch. Well prepared and well cooked. The service is quite amazing since there were only 3 people working including the chef.
From what I understand their menu changes based on local sourcing.
The cappuccino crime brûlée was excellent.
Will definitely try this place again.

Went here for mid week meal with family.
The waitresses were friendly, had a great sense of humor and were cracking jokes with my grandmother. There was a diverse menu selection and good set menus on offer. We had the crab cakes, fish, steak and dessert. The meal was very reasonable. Would highly recommend Star Anise.

Un super restaurant français !
J’y ai mangé qu’une seule fois et je le regrette fortement.
La nourriture y est excellente et de nombreux plats vous rappelleront la cuisine française avec souvent une petite touché irlandaise. C’est ce mélange que j’ai beaucoup apprécié.
Les prix sont plus que corrects pour la qualité et la quantité !
Quant au service, rien à redire ! Juste parfait du début à la fin ! Avec le sourire, et en français !! :)

Este restaurante me gustó pero no me fascinó.
El servicio era una única camarera. Es cierto que el restaurante es pequeñito, y que la camarera lo hizo bien, pero quizá demasiado para una sola.
La comida era buena y bien presentada, lo reconozco, pero quizá por el precio uno se espera un poquito más. En fin, precios irlandeses…
