Word on the street was that this was the spot to get a «buttered mars bar». Sounded silly but I was feeling silly too so I saids to myself, go get one, and I got one. It was good 4.8÷5. Initial impression was of course that it looked like a buttered u know wah lol, but upon first chomp the gooey mess ewzed in me mouth and I was hooked like a fish 5 out of 5(would give 6⁄5 if I could haHa) Will go agen

This chipper and gone down hill. Lack of serious competition in the area has lead to declining standards. The wait time is immense, fast food this is not. I have actually found the staff to be quite abrasive at times and not interested in providing friendly customer service. Which one would expect from a local village chipper. Onto the food. The chips are a good standard, I find the accompanying dishes are substandard. I’m almost certain the chicken breast I received was heated in the microwave because it was so dry it could have been used for extracting oil from a BP spill. This was unfortunately the last straw and in future if I fancy a chipper I will be going out of my way to avoid this place.

Fish and chip day; how could I forget? Remembering at about five o’clock and furiously throwing on clothes, I ran to the local Borzas. The good thing about forgetting until this stage of the day, was the lack of a queue for half price fish and chips. Fish and chips exactly as you would expect from a chipper, served in paper packets. I sat and ate mine on a little patch of green in Dalkey(sit by the sea if you can, in Billy Goats Park, but I just couldn’t wait until then). Fish; good crispy batter; needs salt. Chips; just go all out and get cheese plus garlic sauce; always a must. Everything you expect from a chipper; this delivers the best. The stars are knocked off only because one, I’ve had better in places like the Fish Shop, and for the service which at times can be slightly unfriendly/unaccommodating. Overall, good. Does what it says on the tin. Watch out for queues though; Christmas eve is a nightmare!

Fine bag of chips! Compared to the chippers down in Dun Laoghaire this one beats their socks off. The one issue I have with the place is the wait times. I get they want things to be fresh as possible, but waiting literally 20 minutes for a bag of chips… is excessive. That said, the chips are that good that its easy to put up with delays!

As good a bag of chips as you’ll get in the vicinity. A nice, traditional chipper with a lot of Italian charm. They have seats and tvs too to help you enjoy your chips even more. If you’re feeling super lazy however, you can pay a small fee to get it delivered to your home. Decent prices, you can be waiting a bit if its busy though ;)
