Juggy’s Well Restaurant

Juggys has been around for year and years. I’ve been coming since I was very young with my mum and dad. It’s a casual, good food, no fuss kinda place.
They have a lovely selection of cakes, scones, pies etc, as well as hot foods, sandwiches, soups and the likes.
It’s not your modern, experimental café, so don’t come expecting anything more than ur average homely breakfast/​lunch.
Had breakie this morning ther with my mum and dad. Handy parking just beside it. I had beans on toast, mum had 2 brown scones and dad had poached eggs on toast. We had 3 Americans, a diet coke and a pastry to share. The whole thing came to € 20 and in my opinion that’s great value for a nice, filling breakfast for 3.
I wouldn’t be rushing out to try juggys, but it’s a great place to fill up and relax, in a no mess, good quality, typical irish café.

The scones here are absolutely delicious. The manner of the counter staff however often leaves a lot to be desired. Additionally I think being asked to pay 20c per pat of butter for a take-​out scone that already costs € 1.70 is a little much.
I still keep going back for the scones though…

This review needs only one word: homemade! You could be in your mums kitchen, the quality is top class! (that is assuming you have a top class mum in the cooking dept. of course! As I do & did while growing up). Having this ‘luxury’ gives you an awareness of what good food should be like, something which so many homes/​families lack these days. I’m been a fan of Juggys long before iPhones or Unilocal came along, but it’s great that I can now let you all know just how bleddy brillant it is! I haven’t been there for a while, due to moving living location, not to mention contributing to the world population! But despite all these changes in my life, it’s so good to know Juggys hasn’t changed a bit! Amazing food & amazing service!

Excellent coffee shop who also do a take away for their meals. If you like lemon cake have it here — they do individual ones. Parking is round the corner and it is a handy place in Glasthule for shopping — some very nice shops. I am glad they are not closer to me otherwise I would be spending more time there.
Love it
