Dinner dates here are perfect. Small cozy area and I fell in love with their rustic design. Waiter and waitress were also really friendly. Had their autumn tasting menu here for dinner which cost € 65/pp. I must say that it is worth every single euro you pay. The food here is immaculate. Started of with a cauliflower purée for amouse bouche which wasn’t too bad. Warm but thought it lacked a little seasoning. Then they also served us bread which I felt was really stale and was so tough to eat. Thought the dinner was going to be disappointing but it turned tables when the first appetiser came out and continued scaling. — Salmon(was suppose to be razor clams but they said the weather was bad so couldn’t get them. Sad) with mussels. The ingredients were so fresh and the salmon was seasoned so so so well. The burst of flavours in your mouth was foorgasmic combined with its texture. Then the mussels gave its own taste of freshness from the sea. — Then we had a tuna sashimi over a bed of tuna tartare and a yoghurt jelly at the bottom. Like always, the fish was so incredibly fresh and sweet. Together with the yoghurt jelly at the bottom was a perfect harmony smooth texture. It wasn’t the best dish, but it was still pretty average. I’m just really satisfied the fish was really fresh. — For main course, we had the cod with their soy sauce on top of a creamed sushi rice. Hands down the best cod fish I’ve eaten. Incredibly seasoned and cooked well. Soft and slightly translucent meat with a really nice crisp of the outer texture. The fish just melts in your mouth. With that addition of soy sauce, it pushed it above its perfect score of 100. Freshness of the cod together with the cucumber. — We also then had a chicken roulade with mushrooms. It was suppose to be beef cheeks and again, I was slightly disappointed. But I think the restaurant put you down to only bring you up again. The perfect soft pillow texture to the chicken meat was amazing. And like always seasoned so well and also once again crisp-Ing the skin of the chicken. You can feel the chicken fats just melting on your tongue and opening that pandora box to your flavours. The mushrooms were also so good! I really wished there were more than 2 miserable pieces though. — Ending desserts with a coffee mousse covered in dark chocolate and a ball of chocolate. The coffee was just right at its concentration together with its chocolate. I thought this dessert actually had too much going on on the plate itself. And maybe a tinge too much of gelatin that caused some of the panna cotta to be pretty hard. But overall a very good experience here. The chef is really good with different textures and bringing opposite flavours together. Definitely my new favourite restaurant in Dublin.

I believe this restaurant maybe looking for a Michelin Star! Whether or not it gets one doesn’t really matter to me. The place was quiet but the service good and the food was outstanding. Not that I ever went there, but French/Vietnam is what I kept think about after I left! Don’t walk by!

A hidden gem in Dublin. Amuse serves fun, elegant and delicious food in a city that often is tied to really old /heavy traditional food. We went for the three courses menu and could taste: — pork belly with shrimp tartare and hoisin sauce: brilliant pairing, reminding traditional hong kong cuisine, with the light shrimp cutting through that dense, soft pork belly + cherry on top: crunchy green apple spheres that elevate the whole dish; — cod with satay, sweet potato sauce and bok choy, again, perfect pairing, asian influence with sauces that don’t overpower the cod but instead elevate it; — passion fruit pannacotta, gelato, gel, and white chocolate powder: perfect, refreshing end of the meal. The different textures play with your palate and the acidity of the passion fruit is perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the chocolate. Three courses with two paired glasses of wine and water 60 € each. With this price point and this quality of the food, deserved 5 stars. A breathe of fresh air in Dublin.

Really delicious lunch today at Amuse. Beautiful amuse bouche to start, followed by some of the most interesting and exciting dishes I’ve eaten in Dublin. The Atlantic squid starter was a real stand out, what a wonderful burst of flavours. Very friendly service, great wine and a lovely setting watching the world go by on Dawson St. Must be on track for a Michelin star, definitely deserving of it! Can’t wait to go back and try the dinner menu.

Asian Fusion/French restaurant. Yes I was a little bit confused to what I was going to be served in Amuse. But I needn’t have been. This place is great. Even though Amuse is sat under the huge Harrys sign for some reason I always walk by without noticing the restaurant, as what happened once again when I visited. Taking a few steps back we walked in to a team of very friendly and efficient staff. You immediately get the feeling you are going to be looked after. The food here is pricey and the portions are small but you soon realise why. This is top class food. It’s fresh and gorgeous and after the first course I was already planning a return visit. My hake was the best fish I have had in Dublin(even though it was a little too salty), the meats were melt in the mouth, sauces perfectly matched and the wine list was carefully chosen. Beware though, if you don’t like your meat super rare you might want to bring a portable grill in your pocket. So why 4 stars? No tap water was offered just large bottles(a pet hate of mine for environmental reasons) and the over salting of a couple of dishes. Other than that it’s a massive 5 all the way.

I an’t argue. This place is a 5 star joint. If one were to just read the menu, they would toss it aside… but don’t…They are DEAD serious about food Every dish has its own unique take and is full of flavor. The prawn starter was full of flavor and the coconut cream gave it a depth I never knew prawns could have. I got the crab which was so fresh and full of flavor without being over seasoned. The Venison and the fillet of beef were just superb. so tender you won’t need a knife. I can’t even pinpoint what all the flavors were but each dish was rich yet delicate on the palate. One of my new favorite places to dine in Dublin, GO!!! And trust me, the sommelier knows his wines. He’s worked at Bön apetit and has his own wine importing business. JB. ask for him. Service good Food superb. What are you waiting for?

This place is on track for a Michelin star in my opinion. A youthful all-French staff were flawless in their attention to detail, and although our waiter did take a little while to ‘warm’, we really enjoyed all aspects of our experience. Our sommelier made wise recommendations for our individual personal preferences to pair wines with our starters and entrée. Freshness and quality of the ingredients were obvious(I had scallops starter and lamb entrée), lovely amuse bouche, and innovative and spot on flavors, sauces, accompaniments. Was in this restaurant in Sept. 2014 and surprised to not see any other Unilocalers comments yet. Highly recommended.
