Came here last Sunday expecting a busy restaurant but found it to be very quiet so took away from atmosphere abit. However staff were very friendly and the interior of the restaurant had a very New York /Italian feel to it for a steak house. Went for the medium rare sirloin and it was delicious paired with the truffle potato purée and 3 € to add on bbq shrimp, however I wouldn’t bother with the shrimp. Very nice place if your looking for a delicious steak without hurting the wallet too much.

Our second time in Beeftro, using a taste voucher. For starters I ordered the chorizo bread with cheese — this was delicious! Bread was very warm and I could eat it all day. Steak with sweet potato fries — fries were too salty in my opinion and then I got the brownie for dessert. Honestly Beeftro was great, I would go again on a taste voucher.

Excellent steaks, outstanding mash. The wine list is mostly by the bottle. We had an excellent meal!

Very disappointing. Overpriced. Lacked atmosphere given it was Christmas Eve. Won’t be back

Poor really. Beeftro, Beeeeeeftro! They must be good at beef right. Nope. Ordered medium rare, got served well done. Sad face :( As well done steaks go, it was grand, I just don’t order it cause, well you know, it’s not how one likes it. I was starving, meal was on a voucher and I was on a date so was not prepared to send it back and wait as we had some U2 action to get to later that evening. The chicken wings starter were decent, the chocolate brownie with gingerbread ice cream dessert, a little less so. Two stars might actually be generous!

Had been really looking forward to Beeftro but just felt totally let down by the experience, coming to a steakhouse you hope that the steak will be the highlight of the meal but it left me totally underwhelmed. The wine we had was Spanish but lacked the spiciness and full-bodiedness you’d expect — it was really soft and while easy to drink, not what I’d hoped for at all. I had the French onion soup to start and it was good, not among the best I’ve had but definitely the best of the three courses. The bread on top was a little burned and it made the whole dish a little acrid — disappointing when the soup itself had a lovely sweetness and depth of flavour. The steak, which I ordered medium must have sat out under the lamp for a while, as it was completely cooked through — not a hint of pink to be seen. It was served with fries and a butter sauce which were both fine but nothing to write home about. Dessert sounded and looked great… butterscotch sundae with honey comb and pecans, but the sauce was cold and though the toppings were nice there just wasn’t enough of them! Oh Beeftro, I had such high hopes but I really don’t think I’ll be back!

3⁄5 stars for a few reasons. I went to Beeftro for a work dinner. The place was nice for a more upscale evening out. +1 star. Another star for seating groups promptly at reservation time. The service was good & the staff were friendly but when it came to asking about the beer menu or ingredient(such as milk) in the sauces, the staff were a bit unsure. In fact, they didn’t bother to ask the kitchen, they said they«didn’t know» and that was the end of my question. Of course I thought it could be a newer staff member however there were plenty of questions unanswered by multiple different people. Maybe I am expecting too much for them to know which beers they offer without referencing the list(the beer list is not long… wine list is bigger) or knowing if i get the sauce, will it be drowned in cream? The food itself was okay but nothing spectacular. The starters were the best part with the spicy wings being extremely hot and the cheese and churrizo bread being a favorite for most. The chips were small and not so crispy. Okay but nothing spectacular which you might expect at a steakhouse. Overall i was a little disappointed to go out for a nice meal and spend that much money on steaks when the food and the experience was just okay to be honest. I am not against going back but i am not pushed to go either.

Visited for lunch. Was advised to book as it gets busy on a Friday. By the time we got there I guess we’d missed the rush — thankfully. It just feels so chilled and is in a v nice setting. I ordered the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich which came with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. The food was yum except the fries were a little soggy at the end. Good lunch menu and v good value for food. The service was pretty good — we were left to our own devices really. Like I say it’s in a very nice setting but I’m reserving a five for a return visit to try their steak :)

Had a voucher from living social. € 50 includes starter, main, desert and a bottle of wine for two. We where excited to try this newly installed restaurant. We left very disappointed. First off my fiancé ordered the spicy wings, they were greasy and left a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowel. I had the French onion soup, which was OK… nothing special. For our mains, twenty minutes later, sir had the Angus beef burger which he enjoyed, I had the stirloin steak, nice but overly salty, the French fries again very salty. What put me off was the invasion of personal space by the waiting staff, on separate occasions, to my left and right of me, my head was inches away from the waiters ass. It really put me of my food. So mains finished, we ordered brownie for sir, I ordered the crème brulé. After nearly waiting 40 minutes for our deserts we decided to leave, though busy the waiting staff spent most of there time hanging around the kitchen. We left with the buzz of other diners complaining about the portion size and baffled by their experience… Will not be dining here again!

Pretty darn good. I went in for a cheap but cheerful steak lunch. I love the interior as it brings me back to the steaks and frites place in Paris. I had the beeftro steak which was a perfect portion for me but I tend to eat very little protein so unless you have a small stomach or little appetite I would say go for the New York steak. In saying that for under € 10 what do you expect? I think small portions(which is extremely French) is the norm here. The Beeftro steak is like a minute steak: very thin. But the chefs managed to not overcook it(too much anyway. It was a bit too burnt for my liking on the outside.) and the chips were crispy and hot(although some vinegar would’ve been nice) and the salad nice and light. All in all I would love to go back. The wine selection is decent and want to go back to try their burger

I got to know about Beeftro from the list of «The 10 Best Places To Eat A Burger In Dublin». This place definitely deserves to be on this list! Nice service and foremost delicious food! I have ordered the bacon cheese burger with a broccoli & almond butter as a side. Amazing!!! I am looking forward to try out other dishes in their menu.

Love to order something and get completely surprised and delighted! Went on a living social voucher and was not disappointed. Everything was to perfection. Will be back and would recommend this to everyone. Super location for both a meal or a date. The lunch special is something I will be availing of in the future. Thanks

Had lunch and dinner here. Seriously worth looking at this place. Perfectly cooked steaks to your liking. The wings are well cooked and in a lovely spicy sauce. The smoked cheese burger is gorgeous. It does cost a bit but worth every penny. 62 euro for a 2 course meal for two and a bottle of wine.

One of my favourite burgers here — not if you’re very hungry though — may be too small :) …but delicious :)

Beeftro put a sign outside their establishment that said«burger fries Heineken € 10» so I went inside. When I came out i had a smile on my face. The end

This one is hard to call, but in short, the menu while brief was tasty. Food was very tasty and well executed, perfect fillet and an excellent burger. However, the service was average if I am to be kind, and very poor if I’m being honest. It’s a shame that when arriving with an advance reservation there was no real oh we’re expecting you, just a sit here, here or here. Where we where seated was out of view of the single specials board; it would have been helpful if the specials had been described. After mains our empty plates where left sitting a good 20 mins until I had to leave the table interject in the staff conversation and ask for them to be cleared. After dessert, one of which was served complete with part of the packaging, a again had to interrupt a conversation and hunt down the bill. I let the more senior staff member on duty know about these issues and I very much felt they fell on disinterested ears.

This is a new sister outlet to the branch in Dundrum. They specialise in beef /hence the name. The menu is not too big but we found it to be all good. The décor is white tiles and big windows and the room does have a slightly clinical cool feeling. They have various wines by the glass, demi carafe or full carafe or bottle which worked for us. My friend drinks white and I drink red so we ordered the half litre of each. My malbec was very palatable and went well with my beef. We tried the chorizo bread and the florentine seafood starters– both great. I really loved the bread. We had a rib eye and sirloin and both were perfectly cooked. We got sides of onion rings and fries– delicious. We were both stuffed after dinner so we didn’t take dessert. The staff are friendly and efficient. We were there on wet Wednesday night. It was quiet enough to begin but I noticed quite a few customers coming in after 9 which I thought was unusual for a mid week night. It worked out at about € 100 for 2 starters, 2 mains with sides, 2 carafes of wine and an espresso. Decent value for the quality of the food. I will be back.

The new Beeftro on Balfe Street was just opened a few weeks back, it was time to see if they were as good as in Dundrum. So, what can I say — it was delicious!!! I am absolutely not disappointed. Came in for early bird menu, obviously had the steak and it’s house sauce made of 5 spices, 5 herbs and creamed butter — which is amazingly delicious when melted on your steak but also amazing with the fries on the side :) I had monkfish balls for starter, that jalapeño avocado did with it is class!!! Service is amazing, staff is very nice! 4 out of 5 stars because the design of the restaurant is very clean, I’d love the place in Dundrum and didn’t feel as cozy here? But well — I’d go back for the food and the good service!
