Bohernabreena pitch & putt course is situated on the road past the Old Mill pub and oposite St Annes GAA Club. This has been a favourite course of mine for a long time. I have played on many pitch & putt courses and this is still the best one I have played. The greens are probably the best maintained greens I have seen in Dublin. What sets this apart from other courses is that it is a real challenge. Too many courses are just flat greens with no variation. There are plenty of bunkers and then the seventh is a steep vertical challenge with a sloping green that has caused me plenty of problems over the years. Hole no 15 is a personal favourite, the shortest hole on the course and I hit a hole in one so will always remember that. They change the pin position often so it is never the same course the next time you go up there. Plenty of times I have swung wildly and sliced golf balls onto the road. It is in the middle of nowhere but one of those places you need to try if you are into pitch & putt or just an amateur like me!
