I went to Burritos and Orange yesterday as a friend of mine gave me a free voucher(I now know why) It was absolute muck! It was like cantine food, Everything was soggy and the«beans» were some kind of dark liquid mush. Somebody else had ordered nachos while i was waiting in line and they looked as though they had been microwaved. Besides the quality of the food nothing tasted remotely Mexican. I took a few bites and left. For the price you could find somewhere decent to eat. I defiantly wont be eating there again!

Always good! We come here alot and are never dissapointed. Way better Mexican food than Pablo Picante or the Little Ass Burrito Café, which are also really good, IMHO. Would definitely recommend!

Got a bunch of stuff here cuz it seemed to be the only Mexican place open on a Sunday. It did the job I guess but would be quite reluctant to go back. Nice restaurant, very well decorated and spacious, the food absolutely wasn’t the best tho. Ingredients were only okay and it was kind of thrown together with no real effort. The selection was alright but sour cream squeezed out of a bottle? You kidding me??? Made me feel like I was in a Mexican subway. Burrito wasn’t wrapped properly and seemed like more of a wrap that I could easily make at home. The girl behind the counter clearly wasn’t comfortable making the tacos either, when I asked for tomato I got, and I kid you not, 3 tiny squares. Didn’t want to say anything but would have much preferred to actually do it myself cause when I bit into the taco, seemed a empty. It’s a pity really, this place has huge potential but they seem to be throwing it away! Almost hurts me to give em 3 stars

If you’re patient and just sit down for a simple, easy meal, it ain’t half bad. Didn’t say it was great, just really depends on what you’re in the mood for I guess. Not a must avoid, but there are better Mex options in the city.

Going against the grain here and giving a good review. Firstly, the staff was very nice and helpful. Secondly, the fajitas were really nice. They didn’t come with the extras like lettuce, tomatoes, etc but I wasn’t looking for these, either so it didn’t matter. I did get some guacamole which was okay not the best but okay. The fajitas were really tasty and the tortillas were homemade. They were soft with the right amount of texture. The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. Better than many other food places. For the price it was more than acceptable. Will report on the burritos next time!

This place has had some very bad reviews by other Unilocalers, but I thought it was nice enough(if not a bit pricey). I’ve been in most of the other place in Dublin, and this was just as good. Now I have to add, that I was pretty particular when making my order, and when the ingredients were being added I had to be very specific about things: «more spicy salsa please, eh, a bit more, eh even more than that tiny extra amount you just put on»…“may I have a little more lettuce, and just a bit more” etc etc It was tough work, but eventually I got what I wanted:-) There’s plenty of seats may I add… which is sorely lacking in Pablo Picante, and in some Burritos n Blues(which played anything but blues music when I was there)

The most horrific meal I have ever eaten. Have been feeling sick ever since. The food resembles that of slop served in a badly run school canteen. my advice to anyone is to stay well away from this place. I may have been put of burritos for life!

I know better than to go here. I do. However, last night I couldn’t help it. The taco place in the city centre I usually go to was closed and I needed to get some grub before a show and was in the mood for a burrito. It is a sad sad day when I don’t finish a burrito if I am still hungry. I have not finished burritos on fear of my stomach exploding, but I was no where near that last night. Now it isn’t the type of thing where the food here is so bad I would rather have chewed off my own arm before going there again, it is just that every time(last night makes 3) I am reminded of just how lack luster this place is. If you even mention their guac to me I want to cry in mourning for all the future avocados which will be destroyed, decimated, defiled by this place. It is truly horrifying. Plus there is only one kinda bean? WT??? Oh well, next time I will know better and look a little harder for someplace worth while.

My second time here, and this was just awful. The burrito could have been from any ethnic cuisine or none, it was so bland. The worst part was the sogginess. Oh the sogginess! I couldn’t finish it. I had communication difficulties with the girl behind the counter, thank God I was the only person ordering, otherwise it would have been really stressful. This was during rush-hour lunchtime by the way and the place was empty except for one other person. This isn’t Mexican food, it’s barely food. There’s a sign outside which proclaims it to the Dublin’s first Mexican grill bar, which is not true. Avoid this place, in my experience, it’s one of the worst places to eat in the city. Seriously. Oh, and I had two € 3 vouchers for this place, one of which I used today and the remaining one I intend to give away to anyone foolish enough to accept it on the basis that it’s free food.

Came here with a RateMyArea voucher and won’t be going back unless its even cheaper than 3.75 a burrito and ‘large drink’(it was a can). I got the vegetarian option, which, I guess, just means the same as everyone else but without meat(i.e. I did not get sauteed peppers and onions as was implied by the voucher). The rice was undercooked and only kinda warm, as were the re-fried beans(also, they only have that option for beans). The other toppings were all sitting in water – but they did look fresh. The guacamole was basically soup that she poured onto my burrito in a vary sparse amount, as were the salsas. Speaking of salsas, I got medium and could not tell that it was even on the burrito. Don’t plan on going back, seeing as the millenium walkway is right around the corner as is the other half of their restaurant – 10 Thousand, which is Asian. If anyone can understand why they named the restaurant 10 Thousand, please let me know.

burritos & orange!!! With this name I guess I shouldn’t even have gone inside! This isn’t Mexican, it’s Chinese:-/ Yes, it’s Chinese getting in on the current popularity of burritos, and so they’re shoving their chinese food into tortillas! Very clever — yes! But very sad and disappointing to people who long for mexican food. I won’t be fooled again. And what’s witht the name???

I was surprised to see a new place offering Mexican especially so close to Taco Taco. I actually went to Taco Taco and the queue was like twenty deep, when I decided to call back later and stumbled upon this place. I must say I was actually impressed. The burritos and tacos were both very good and they have a large selection of toppings much like Subway that you can choose from to go on whatever you choose from the menu. They also offer varying levels of salsa that add and extra kick. I like things spicy and their habanero salsa was brilliant.

After trying Burritos and Orange about a month ago and coming away disappointed once again with another bland Mexican food experience in Dublin, I was not eager to return. Was there no good Mexican food in all of Ireland? I was dragged in by a friend on Friday who wanted to try it & I am so glad I gave it a second chance! We both ordered pork burritos with the spicy salsa. It was a perfectly seasoned, tender, slow roasted pork. The salsa had just the right amount of kick and tasted so fresh. Usually when you order something ”spicy” in Ireland you don’t get anything close to hot. Being from California and having eaten authentic Mexican food my entire life, it is safe to say that this is the BEST burrito in Dublin! I have tried Pablo Picante, Boojum, Burritos & Blues, etc. and I wouldn’t call that Mexican food if you paid me. I don’t know if they have a new chef or what, but there has been a major change & I can’t wait to go back and try something else!

On my quest to eat every burrito available in Dublin, I tried Burritos and Orange last week. I’d recommend the burrito except for one caveat – the customer experience was awful. The counter girl spoke almost no English. It was difficult to ‘build’ my dream burrito when she didn’t know the names of the ingredients. Instead of asking what I wanted, she pointed individually to each vat in the bain marie and waited for a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. As you can imagine, a grueling process. I asked a few times what the item was(i.e. Which is hotter, the green or red chili peppers?) with no answer whatsoever. Just a confused face blinking back at me. Especially frustrating when she is holding an opaque squirt bottle that could have anything inside. Thankfully when I said yes to these mystery sauces, it was always something innocuous like sour cream rather than liquid poo. Also, the making of the burrito was SLOW as all get-out. This is not a taste-development situation here, ma’am. There is no need to gingerly spread beans for 45 seconds or to ensure that the small pieces of tomato are distributed evenly over the entire tortilla. In case you weren’t aware, this is going to get rolled up into one giant blob and sort of mix itself. I swear it was like watching paint dry! Towards the end I began to say no to ingredients just so we could finish quicker. Imagine the frustration if I was ahead of somebody in the line! Another problem was that the girl didn’t/couldn’t count my money correctly. I totaled the bill in my head at € 12.50 in my head but she gave me tons of change back. Pretty sure I paid only € 9.70 for two burritos, one including extra guacamole. Not complaining, but it’s confusing to the customer. I wonder how much I’ll pay next time? Final disaster was asking for tortilla chips and getting the language confusion again. I made sure to be clear – not chips like french fries but the kind of tortilla crisps you get on nachos. The girl shook her head and said ‘we dont have that’. Even though ‘Nachos’ is on your menu??? Oh and while we are on the subject, if you want to see the most hideous, unintelligible menu board in existence… As you can see, getting my burrito was like pulling teeth. The resulting burrito was surprisingly decent. I enjoyed all the fresh-cut chili peppers as well as the heavy dusting of coriander. I can’t say the rice or beans had any special flavor, but it was decent. If you try to go at lunch time, good luck to you. You’ll want to allow a good 15+ minutes of your time to complete the order before you can begin your meal. I see no reason to go here when Boojum is a stone’s throw away and infinitely less complicated.
