Lovely café! Immediately when you walk in the door it strikes you as being clean, well presented and run well. Not stuffy in anyway. There is a good selection of food and beverages. It’s worth a stop in!

Stopped by after an appointment at the us embassy and had a lovely experience. I ordered a continental breakfast which included scone or pastry, large glass of juice, and choice of Americano, latte or cappuccino. Was about € 6, fair price for table service I thought. FREEWIFI! Staff was very nice. Cute location with plenty of seating.

Where would I be without Café Java in Ballsbridge? Its the closest one to where I work so I try to go at least twice a week. In the morning, its just a quick stop and grab(grande latte) and then the odd time I stay for lunch(they do some really nice paninis and a fantastic club sandwich) I’ve been going for almost two years and the service is what really sets it apart form the rest, plenty on the menu and good for a lunch meet up!

No, your eyes aren’t fooling you –there’s another Café Java in Dublin. Settled on Shelbourne Road for more than a year now, this incarnation of Café Java maintains the same quality of tasty lunches, desserts and coffee. The single table outside is on an awkward corner, which makes for uncomfortable pedestrian-encounters when having a coffee outside, The spicy chicken wrap is still my first love, I recommend ordering it hot with a cold soda … heaven. If there’s no time to sit in the small restaurant(or if there’s no seats, which is more often the case), order it cold to go with a fresh baked cookie. Java’s till-side cold case stocks a few wrapped versions of the sandwiches available in-shop, but hurry down as they run out quickly(except, strangely, for the tuna sandwiches).
