Can’t believe I have waited so long to come here. Pass it a lot but just never ventured in. Until today and boy I will be back. Coffee arrived. Looked like it was strong and over brewed but the taste was dilush. So many flavours and delightfully mild. I had the pancakes with maple syrup, banana, berries, cream and homemade compot. Devine is all I can say. Although the hubby had the full Irish which I have to say looked amazing. He was good enough to give me little tastes which I definitely would not have done if shoes and other foot etc. Can’t wait to come back and have the full Irish all to myself and pop in for dinner some other time. Hope this place stays in Smithfield when it’s a difficult thing to do it seems.

Was in Dublin, Ireland a few weeks ago and on a rainy Saturday night I happened upon a lovely restaurant called Sparks bistro. The staff were really welcoming and professional. The menu was varied and the food great. I will definitely be back when in Dublin again. The house red is great, try it.

I have eaten here half a dozen times and i have yet to be disappointed. The husband and wife team who manage this restaurant are absolutely lovely, charming people with warm, friendly personalities. They greet you on arrival and wish you well as you depart. The place is spotlessly clean and one has the reassurance of seeing one’s food being cooked, as the cooking area is just behind the counter. The space is pleasantly decorated and the seating is comfortable. They have wifi,-not important for me but i know it is for others. The food is of a high standard with main courses consisting of chicken, pasta, salad and burger choices. Try the chicken parma ham… the sauce is really nice. Everything i have eaten here I have enjoyed. Their coffee is very good too. Most importantly the prices are competitive… they offer a 2 Course Early Bird special for 14.95. The customer service here is the best i have experienced anywhere… the owners and the waiter are very attentive and just incredibly well tuned in to their customers needs … nothing is too much trouble. This is a new restaurant which deserves to do well.

Had lunch here on its first week of opening. Ordered, what was described as the«Pulled Pork Sandwich». The chef certainly has a broad understanding of what pulled pork actually is. What arrived on my table after a few minutes was some sort of fatty rubber like pork rib cut into chunks and doused in barbecue sauce. In fairness to them it was presented relatively well but it was most certainly not pulled pork. Definitely wont be returning here as Smithfield has much better eateries for prices on par with this establishment.

Being honest, ate here by default as everywhere else was packed due to the Flea Market, turned out to be a great choice! This is an excellent little addition to the already buzzing Smithfield market. Staff were polite and friendly and offered good recommendations. The menu itself is quite big with a wide choice of dishes. Pulled pork sambo/bap was amazing! And whatever you do, make sure to try the prawn starter, so so so good and great value fo the portion size. Will 100% be back to try out their dinner menu.
