They copied the look but not the taste of Johnny Rockets. The burgers were over cooked & a bit dry. The sauce & topping, which tries to mask the dry burger, were better. Don’t expect to get the classic 1950’s american burger if you come here. Not even a reasonable facsimile.

I would have always said it is hard to go wrong with Eddies… the fries are always good, the burgers brilliant. My personal fav is the buffalo wings with the(original) Cajun sauce, I went with it this time too. Junior had the nuggets and chips. Food arrived in about 12 seconds, very very quick — Juniors was spot on, mine… really really really disappointing. The wings were just not nice; the sauce had echoes of what it once was, but that was about it. Picture it, a dad and 7 year old dining together, plates clearly finished with. Waitress correctly asks dad if all was OK and if anything further is required. Dad confirms all was OK(because I’m Irish and not going to complain, also, I ate most of it) and we are finished. Waitress then turns to child and asks if he wants anything more. no no no no no… bold waitress, Parents speak for the kids, are you trying to create trouble on your desperate attempt to up-sell a bowl of ice cream?! luckily for me junior is happy with my response, he’s good like that. We leave with me in no hurry for a return visit.

Is not going to happen again. The meat is good as in any other burger bar in town. But they are cheaper. I had the worst onion rings ever, the tap water tasted like plastic and a bad milkshake. All served by an unprofessional waitress.

Disgusting. The worst eddie location I have been to. Been here. Twice. Same results, horrific. The burger was dry, stale, and clearly well done and not similar fashion to medium rare as the other locations. They also add paprika I’m sorry that is just wrong, you should ask before adding things to people’s food. I ordered fries without paprika and. Of course, she adds paprika, and than tries to tell me that I was wrong for not explaining things properly. I’m sorry that you’re obviously foreign and do not understand the English language. It’s jot my fault. The waitstaff here are also incredibly cold, and rude. Ugh just no. No and no.

Eddie Rockets are expensive so I really like their slider/basket menus. two mini burgers and a handful of chips for € 4 are good value and will leave you full enough. The place looks a bit greasy or oily but handy for a quick bite. Service is always prompt and fast.

It looks a lot like Johnny Rockets and I wanted a burger, so in I went. When you walk in, it is like a time warp… red seats, white interior, old timey signs on the wall, red baskets for your food, the old style jukeboxes on the tables(sadly they don’t work), etc. It wasn’t very busy, but it took awhile to get seated… there were only two wait staff working and it seemed like they were a bit overwhelmed. I decided to have a little bowl of the chili and the bacon cheddar burger. The chili kind of reminded me a bit of the chili at Steak n’ Shake. It was good and they served it with a bit of cheese on top and some tortilla chips. I noticed my burger and fries sitting under the heat lamp, but there was no one around to bring it to me. Eventually the burger got to my table. With it being an American-style diner, I thought the bacon on the burger would be crispy, streaky bacon, however it was not and I was a bit disappointed. I ended up taking it off because it was making it difficult to eat the burger. The burger itself was nice, not sure what exactly the ER sauce is, but it was ok. I did like how they wrap up the burger in paper as it can get a bit messy trying to eat a burger. And the fries, well they were in the American-style, but after having lived in the UK for a couple years, I prefer the chunky cut chips now, however they were a bit on the undercooked side. A lot of my students stop in here when we visit Dublin because they are missing home and really seem to like it. I’d probably go back for a chili cheese dog or a brown cow(a coke float).

This place is quite pricey for the value and it’s just fast food, nothing special. My classic cheeseburger was fulfilling but did not feel well afterwards. The meal wasn’t worth the price we paid.

The first time I enjoyed an Atomic Burger with chilli fries and a bottle of Bud in Eddie Rocket’s, Dame Street was about 6 years ago. The food was phenomenal but my experience was tainted by a guest appearance of a greasy rat which ambled out of the kitchen and strolled around the restaurant. Damn shame because the food was great. On logging a complaint, the health service told me it was ok as the rat was dying. Well… thank God for that, says you. A greasy dead rat is SO much worse than a healthy spright young creature.
ok, ok, it was a bad experience but the temple bar area is overflowing with rats, being so close tto the Liffey and every business experiences this at some stage. And believe it or not I still pop in the odd time as friends of mine really like it in there. My rating reflects the fact that they’ve gone a bit scabby and I have to send back my chilli fries and atomic burger with instructions that the chef has to cop on to himself or there’ll be words. If I’m payng that much for a burger, I want more than a smear of chilli on the top thankyouverymuch!

Hamburgers, fries and chicken wings a plenty this Dame Street branch of the massive Eddie Rockets chain maintains all the joviality and novelty we have come to find irresistible about this appealing fast-food institution. This is one of the biggest Eddie outlets in town and so is capable of catering for the more sizable crowds. ‘The’ prototypical American Diner, the moment you walk in you are instantaneously transported back to the thrilling days of Grease Lightning, retro juke boxes, Elvis quiffs and 1950s baseball — all of the archetypal characteristics of which Eddie Rockets manipulates to create its novelty décor. I first started going there with my friends for munchie food after we finished a session in town — Eddie’s can be open as late as 4am some nights and so perfect for the crowd returning from a night out who are looking to devour as much fast food as possible to soak up their evening’s alcohol consumption. On these occasions I have often gone for ‘The Atomic’, topped with chili sauce and jalapenos — so hot it will, as the title suggests, blow you away! For € 7.45 it is not a cheap outing, especially when you have to buy any chips or salad separately as well as a drink, and if you eat there after midnight a 10% ‘late night’ charge is added. At € 5.15 the Bacon and Cheese Fries satisfy the taste buds like nothing else after a heavy night, but makes a sizeable dent in your wallet in the process. Nevertheless, the more I went there under these late night circumstances the more fond of Eddie’s I became, so much so that friends and I used to drop in for an Oreo Cookie Malt if we had come from shopping in Temple Bar or were making our way towards the city centre. This malt really is as devilish and abounding as it sounds — a rich treat in the afternoon, big enough to be shared between two, this really is the perfect indulgence when you want to take a break. Note: For 20c a go you can select a song to be played over the main speakers via the mini jukebox on each table — Beach Boys ‘Good Vibrations’ was often the one I went for.

Eddie Rockets is great for a laugh. The novelty of sitting in a 50s style diner never wears thin. The jukeboxes and hokey signs only enhance the feel good atmosphere. I also get kicks from seeing the kitchen staff wear those funny little pointy hot dog stand hats. The burgers are massive and really stick to your ribs. There’s nothing better than the Atomic Burger(jalapenos and chili sauce) after a couple of pints on George Street. Melanie is right to say that the Buffalo Wings and Blue Cheese Sauce are to die for. Three words: finger licking good!

I use to be a really big fan of Eddie Rockets but then I realised how cheesy and over priced it really was but I still have to admit that I think they do the greatest Buffalo Wings and Blue Cheese sauce in the whole of Dublin! This diner is also great and has a fab location and is really popular with the performers from the Olympia! How do I know? Well, I use to perform here and eat at Eddie Rockets! So it was popular with me! They do great shakes and coke floats too!

Eddie Rockets is a fast food American style diner. I have been there on many occasion and love the food and atmosphere here. They serve many traditional American dishes including fries, hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken wings. Their drinks include Coca cola, milkshakes and even a icecream float where they put a scoop of ice-cream in your soft drink. They also now have a breakfast menu which includes the traditional sausages, pudding, hash browns or waffles with maple syrup. Although the prices of the food is not that cheap, it is nice to go there for the occasional treat.
