When you’ve had a rough night in city center of along baggot you can always count on Embassy Grill to set you straight. The chips are always got and fresh and the goujons tasty. I love their sweet chili and BBQ dips. The chicken pita is also tops. It’s always a good night when it ends with embassy grill!!!

I’m giving Embassy Grill 4 stars, but with the understanding that it’s 4 stars for what they do(because they do it well), not because it’s the best of many options for a meal in this neighborhood(because it’s not). Embassy Grill reminds me of the diners back in the US. You’re not getting the most fantastic and creative food imaginable, but it serves its purpose. Sometimes you just need some comfort food… and the chicken tenders and chips at Embassy Grill will certainly hit the spot in this case. Maybe I like it so much because it feels a little like home, or because of how it hits the spot after a night out. Either way, it has its place. The grilled chicken pita is also a solid option.

To eat chippers out in dublin this is the only place I would go last week I was working at comic con(I know I’m a nerd get over it) I went there for dinner with a couple of friends and I got a kebab and chips and the chips were great the only bad thing was the vinegar but that’s it the staff was great especially the old fella he was joking and messing around and still took our order and the food came pretty quick and he cleared away the plates very quickly so it won’t be in your way and I went back the next day for take away onion rings are to die for here and my friend got chicken with the snack box and he said the chicken was amazing so I’m definitely coming back the next time I’m around that area. Definitely a 10⁄10 experience.

Ordered from this place yesterday. The food would be so much better if they didn’t add so much of that mayo/ketchup sauce. There was just globs of it all over the kebab and fries that I didn’t want to finish it. I ended up getting sick later that evening. I only suggest that they lay off the sauce and the food would taste so much better.

Missing some flavor. The atmosphere is very bland. It’s crowded with tables. The wait staff is very busy so they rush at your table. I hate feeling rushed. The food isn’t gross but it isn’t good either. Prices are ok.

I would avoid this place like the plague, i went in yesterday and the service was not great, i asked for a chicken burger with nothing on it i.e. no mayonnaise or lettuce, when i got it, both were on it, was not to impressed, when i brought it back, the person behind the counter said i didnt make myself clear, was not to happy with that and i will not be returning here again

In terms of typical Italian chippers in Dublin, this place is up there with the best. I think the only one that would outright beat it would be the original Borza, but then I have not been there in many years, so some of its remembered excellence could well be nostalgia. Each time I have had the fish it has been fresh, not too heavily battered, and very tasty. I am not terribly adventurous, sticking mainly to the Smoked/Fresh cod, so I can’t comment on the rest of the selection. What I have had has been very good. This is not Burdock’s standard but good nonetheless. The Doner kebab is excellent, well cooked and spiced lamb and plenty of sauce, just the way I like it. The burger was not up to the same standard but quite nice for the category of restaurant. The chips are possibly the best part — they have ample sauce selections if that is your craving(curry, curry & cheese, taco, garlic and more) but they are absolutely good enough to have on their own — not too greasy or mushy and thick cut. Note: they also sell bread for a home made chip butty should you be short at home! Unusually for Dublin(more common in rural areas), there is the option to sit down and have a meal — I haven’t taken advantage of it, but nice to know it is there.

real chips, real burgers, real friendly staff …a proper chipper, I like it a lot! We were in last night for fish and chips & nuggets and chips, everything was great. 3 meals(inc childs portion), 2 drinks for 23Euro — not exactly dirt cheap but quick and tasty… and I didnt have to wash any dishes afterwards.

One of the best chippers I’ve been to. The chicken kebabs are very tasty with proper chicken breast chunks. The fish is also fab. I nearly wish it wasn’t so close to my house as it’s so tempting!

The Embassy Grill is my favourite chipper in this area. I like it because the grub is always piping hot and crispy to perfection. The diner section of the restaurant is kind of a fun place to hang out for a while because it feels like one of those highway diners in the states. I imagine that at any moment some woman with a paper bag on her head and a revolver in both hands might storm in screaming«any of you m***********s move and I’ll execute every last one of ya!» and hold the place up. There are two key drawbacks here, one: on match days at Lansdowne you will not be able to get a bag of chips for all the coffee in South America, two: they don’t deliver. These key oversights aside, more often than not, I’m prepared to stroll on up here for my bag o’ carbs ‘n’ fat. This means Embassy Grill get a whopping four stars in my book.

The«Grill» in the name refers to the full selection of fry-up stuff on offer here — bacon, sausage, egg, and even a t-bone steak at the grand price of € 15. For that I’d rather pay the little extra and hop over to Roly’s across the road for my steak, but everything else is chipper cheap! They do a good greasy, sodden-in-vinegar bag of chips, and the place is jammed whenever there’s a match in Landsdowne or a concert in the RDS.

I love getting a bag of chips after a walk along Sandymount beach. Eating straight from the bag and licking your salty, vinegary fingers and saying«eh-oh-ah» while eating chips that are too hot because they’re straight off the cooker. Yum. Bag of chips € 2.80. Satisifaction — priceless.

Ah the Embassy. This place fuels the crowds on match day, the hordes on gig day and soaks up some of the mess on exams finishing day. In any other location it’d be a fairly standard chipper, but here, its work is considered on a par with the life saving activities of the Red Cross.

This is your bog standard chipper/coffee shop. It’s spotless and that is a must for me when it comes to a place that does fast food. The food is well… Fast! You pay for what you get, cheap, tasty and probably not the best healthy eating option but we all deserve to splurge ever once and awhile. It’s close location to the Lansdowne road and the RDS makes it a handy pit-stop on game or concert day.
