Fitzsimons Temple Bar

I love this pub, for me it is the best i have been so far. I love the fact they have many floors. I like the middle floor the most. The dance floor surrender by sofas… And they play pop music and everyone sing together it is pretty fun and nice

Couldn’t agree more with Emily on this one.
Place is an over priced dump and the music is such trash it would give you a headache.
Bouncers are a***holes and the bar man was so rude .

We wanted to go out on a Friday night and the music from a live concert brought us to the Fitzsimons Temple Bar. The atmosphere was pretty cool, people were singing with the singer. Lucky for us, there it was 5 € coctails night! I had the Tequila Sunrise which was pretty good. There were a few tables available. The bar is pretty big you have different parts more or less noisy. There is a floor but I didn’t go upstairs, I just saw lights. So it’s seems quite a nice place to hang out! For sure I’ll go back there next time I’m in Dublin!

I agree on the limited mnu but it had exactly what we were looking for. The fish and chips and the stew were both perfect. It was a bit pricey though. We also had the 5 euro cocktails (the woo woo).
Overall nice ambience with nice music in the background. It even featured Irish traditional dancers.

Lang nicht ganz so schlecht wie ihr Ruf, am Ende der Temple Bar gelegen aber eben doch massiv auf Touristen angelegt und durch die Größe wahrscheinlich Anlaufpunkt für Reisegruppen wie ich es mitbekomme. Die zur Saison abendliche Live-​Musik ist gut aber es gibt besseres auf der Bar, der Service ist freundlich aber für meinen Geschmack ein wenig unpersönlich. Der dazugehörige Club, bessergesagt die Diskothek im Kellergeschoss, das «5ive» ist ein Genre-​unabhängiger Laden wo von Rock über Black bis Pop alles läuft, am Wochenende gut gefüllt mit Touristen und gut zum Kennenlernen derselben unter der Woche und ausserhalb der Saison eher mau. Die Toiletten sind zur fortgeschrittenen Stunde in einem fürchterlichen Zustand. Warum gehe ich dort trotzdem hin? Am Spāten Nachmittag ist es das Café auf der Dachterasse wert (Geheimtip!) sowohl in Qualität als auch was den Ausblick über die Stadt betrifft. Die Toiletten sind dann auch noch sauber.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The menu was limited but the chips were pretty awesome. It’s an ok place to get a quick lunch, but it’s not a «must do». The atmosphere was nice, a nice large screen project for watching sports and it seemed to be a spot where some locals gather from the familiarity the crowd had with one another. The place was clean except for the restroom and the stairs that led to the restroom, both were dirty and smelled of piss. The staff was friendly enough but not attentive and it wasn’t even that busy.

Ordered 2 drinks, € 6.40 pint had to ask again ! Disgracefull if the place had adequate seating and tables, proper beer garden maybe but won’t be back !

The staff here are totally braindead. Even when the place is pretty much empty they take an age to serve you. They seem like they couldnt care less.

I can always count on some music and good, reasonably-​priced food. Sometimes the music is better than others but I particularly enjoy the Irish music.

This place is actually three bars in one — downstairs you have the standard pub atmosphere with live music, second floor is loungey/​clubby with decent dance music and then the top floor is a great outdoor/​rooftop bar. The bartenders are good dudes — especially when you are visiting Americans who can’t break the habit of tipping — but the waitstaff can be a bit surly. It’s also definitely 99.999% tourists, so you’re going to get whatever mix of people is in Dublin that weekend.

I am not really sure how to rate this place because the atmosphere at 2pm on St. Paddy’s is probably not what you would find on any other day of the year. We wandered in right after the parade finished to a much expected hoard of people. The bar maids did a great job or taking orders and controlling the crowd. Unfortunately they didn’t plan very well because they ran out of green beer less than 2 hours after they were legally allowed to be open. I can’t remember the price we paid for the beers but after we ordered, we managed to find a table. No live music in our area but there were some good tunes going and a pretty big dance floor.

We made our way down to the Temple Bar area and after walking a few I deiced it was time for a beer, that’s right Beer me Dublin! Walked by the Fitzsimons Temple Bar and it looked like a fun place, had a live band playing some lively music so thought hey why not get this place a try.
Made our way in and grabbed a seat and not to much longer after our server greeted us, after some small talk I told her I was interested in ordering a beer, just didn’t know which one, and she offered taste samples of a few and I found one I liked.
I ordered a nice cold glass of Kilkenny, this beer is great tasting, and I also learned I can get it in the States, awesome yea!
This was a cool little spot to grab a drink and people watch.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Even though it was a quiet Saturday afternoon in the pub, the service was awfully slow. My friend did not even get the salad she ordered, cancelled it because we had somewhere to be by a certain time, and she has been waiting for a while. Secondly, it’s not safe. My mobile phone was on the table, in front of me, inside the pub, and it was stolen bu some lowlife who freely entered the pub carrying leaflets which he used to distract our attention when he approached our table. Not safe. No security. Staff don’t give a s*** and don’t know what’s happening on their floor. Never going in again.

I realise I’m not the target customer (at least I presume I’m not as I’m not a tourist or on a perpetual hen party), but this place just is not good.
I was here at the weekend with some overseas clients for work for the first time since I’ve been legally allowed to drink, I think.
For starters, the Guinness was awful and expensive so I was against it from the get go.
We ordered platters of food that had skewers which had not been mentioned on the menu and after tasting, the meat remains unidentifiable… not great…
Two Irish dancers performed and, while they seemed good (I have no idea what is good), they didn’t seem too interested in being there.
We left after 2 drinks. I hope to not return.

Stopped here my first night in Dublin — just went in for Guinness and music and stayed for a few hours. Now I didn’t try the food so my review is just based off the service and beer. Great atmosphere with great live music and delicious food.

This is most definitely not a good place to frequent on a Saturday night. Take it from me folks.

— € 10 for a Jameson & coke. Wwwhhhhhaaattt!!!
— Packed with drunken hen parties and bewildered looking tourists wondering what they’ve inadvertently landed upon
— Horrendous music. Think Wigfield ‘Saturday Night’, Vengaboys, or Take That. (I love you Mark Owen, but not on a night out on the town, cmooon DJ!)
— They have this very odd giant projection screen that shows, in a very odd way, what’s happening on the cameras in the rest of the odd bar. All very Big Brotherly and creepy. And odd. So odd.
So there ya have it. Expensive booze, awful music, drunken messy clientele and creepycreep big screens. Yuk.

First off: 6.50 for a pint of draught.
Secondly, I went to this place midweek as it was open late with friends. I wish Id gone home instead though. The place was packed and had some very odd guys drinking in there. There was a very strange atmosphere.
Also they were playing what appeared to be softcore porn on the TVs. I presume someone just forgot to change the channel, but it was WIERD.

Now to be fair, I was here on a Tuesday… which seems to be the only night in Dublin when everyone stays home. However, The place is full of creepy tourist, leering and gyrating at any girl in the place. Gross.
They commit highway robbery on booze prices. 12.50 for two pints of Smithwicks. What the??? Ouch. Better drinking at Temple Bar.

The club downstairs is the only place you can dance without suffering (beware of creeps though).
The roof top is my favorite part — impossible to find a seat unless you are lucky to find someone at a table who will spare or share.
Prices increase as the night goes in to the early hours.

It is not the MOST touristy place in Temple Bar, but makes a good run for it.
Too crowded, leading to getting too felt up (felt up in general by strangers is too much for me), feeling like I could not breath, and 2 friends getting pick-​pocketed (one was just attempted – didn’t have anything in her pockets – and the other time he dropped the stuff).
They debate on when they ID you, I guess. One friend did not have an ID but got in, then wanted some air, and they would not let her back in (pretty sure they saw her leave, but whatever).
I gave it an extra star for having great music and having a top floor where you can go outside.

Localizado en la siempre conocida zona de Temple Bar, a tan sólo unos pasos del archifamoso pub que da nombre a la zona.
Tiene varios pisos, un par hacia arriba y otro abajo que es el que abre más tarde porque es el que se convierte en discoteca.
La planta calle es muy grande, con varias entradas por diferentes calles. Tiene espacio para miniconciertos y una pequeña sala donde tomar algo tranquilo fuera del ruido.
