My friend and I stopped into Fruit Tree one day because as we were walking past she saw a sign that said students get 10% off. Obviously, being the type of people who carry our old student IDs around for this very purpose, we went in for a look-see. The menu is pretty interesting for such a teeny and cheap kind of a place. They have a big menu of baked potatoes, which I thought was fabulous. You really don’t see the whole create your own potato as often as you should. They also have salads, soups, paninis, sandwiches and a hot food menu with things like curry and chips. The price is unbelievable for the quality of the food. We both got soup and a baked potato(duh) and I really was impressed. One gripe: Fruit Tree is the kind of place that isn’t open when you want it to be. I still haven’t truly figured out the business hours, but when I do I will probably go there regularly.

I think the fruit tree is great — it’s just a tiny deli that does exactly what it says on the tin. Sandwiches, wraps, panini’s, salad and the most delicious soups can be found here. It really is a little gem — but be warned, blink and you’ll miss it!

Fruit Tree is the type of place that only the truly broke and hungry can appreciate. They have an extensive menu but to be honest, and this has been going on for about six months, I’m yet to try anything other than the very first thing I had there-the chicken club hunger buster. It’s just amazing. A club sandwich to rival that of O’Neils at a the paltry charge of € 4.70. Three tasty levels of lettuce, tomato, cheese, rasher, chicken and mayo-I used to get it on days when I could only afford lunch OR dinner. Massive, delicious and cheap. Fruit Tree ticks all the boxes as far as I’m concerned.
