Ah, Gap. I love you in the States, but I only like you as a friend over here. This Dundrum shop is slightly bigger than its counterpart on Henry Street, but not much is different as regards to the range. It offers the basics and although it does them well, they are pricey. I long for the rows of bags and well-cut dresses that are de rigueur in the good old US.

This is the first stand alone Gap Store in the country and it just opened in May of this year. They’ve had a little gap section in Arnotts for a few years now, but this is the first time we’ve had the entire collection. The store itself is quite cool — menswear is on the bottom floor and women’s and kids upstairs. The layout is quite simple and the décor is clean and simple. I remember thinking that it was quite cool in their too — temperature wise that is, as the rest of the shopping centre can be quite stuffy. I love their clothes, so I was delighted they brought the store to Dundrum. They’re really simple and very reasonable. I will definitely be going to have a little spend there sometime soon.
