A handy shortcut onto Henry Street, it has a hairdresser(Peter Marks), a newsagent, a gift shop(Evolution), a dress shop(Sugarbabe), as well as Specsavers, Champion Sports and Arnotts Uniform Shop. All you need to start a new life with a new identity, basically. Get glasses in Specsavers, a nurses uniform in Arnotts and buy some goodbye gifts for your loved ones in Evolution. Sorted. On rainy days, it can fill up quickly with damp, sheltering pedestrians.

More of a shortcut than a shopping centre, you tend to forget how nice it is with it’s art deco entrance and it’s high glass ceiling. This little series of shops is just behind the GPO and is a handy short cut between Henry Street and the side entrance of Penneys on O’Connell St. There’s a couple of handy little shops here like evolution, a hairdressers, and opticians as well as side entrances to a handful of Henry St shops

This is one place in Dublin that probably is not as exploited in an architectural enjoyment sense as much as it should be. It’s a handy little short cut from Henry street to O’Connell street. It also has a very pretty Victorian interior with ornate gilded awnings over the mall. The floor is an intricate mosaic which is fascinating to study, bearing in mind you are not crawling but rather standing still and not disrupting the pedestrian traffic. It’s a compact mall but it still has a good number of impressive stores selling well known brands, well worth the trip.
