I was in Graces recently and at first in was like«Errrr…» It is very dated, the décor. That said, don’t judge a book by the cover. The service was excellent, table service at that. It was only one drink, but the memory is a good one. Good conversation and great Guinness. I’ll be back when in the vicinity.

Never been to this bar before. Its a bit of Gem if you want to have a quiet conversation. Nice interior and if its not to busy the barman comes and gets your orders for you, a great touch. Prices not to bad and comfy seats and tables! There’s not a lot else to add so I wont!

This place is a dive of a dive and that is what I adore about it. I understand it is not for everyone, which is why I gave it three stars. The bar staff are great, the locals are lovely and friendly, and they do live music on the weekends. I can sometimes be found here, catching up on school work or having a chat with friends before moving on.

Grace’s is your typical bog standard local. It’s filled with neighbourhood residents(average age group: 50s) that have lived in the area their whole lives and can easily spot newcomers. The bar staff are very friendly and even charged my phone for me. The prices are relatively cheap compared to other pubs in the area. It’s a good spot to catch up on some reading or work in the afternoon because it’s quiet, but I wouldn’t suggest it for a crazy night out on the town. There’s a bus stop right outside the door so if you want to catch a few pints here before stumbling into town you don’t have far to go, and a taxi rank just opposite the traffic lights and if you’re really lost there’s a garda station across the street where I’m sure they can point you in the right direction ;).
