Food is quite good but the place is too small for the demand, so it tends to be always packed and noisy to enjoy a meal and/or a conversation!

You won’t find a better breakfast in my opinion — full fry up and limitless coffee! This is my local café /restaurant so have eaten here loads, the food never disappoints. Early bird for dinner is all night too and delish :)

Howard’s Way is very recommended. I’ve been dropping in since I was legally allowed eat a pancake. It’s great for coffee and brunch I’ve not gone for lunch and dinner as its a too small in Rathgar, I am sorry! I am very aware that the food is recommended and I am quite sure that’s the case but I’m tall and want to stretch out, so unusual review 5⁄5 from Breakfast and coffee, but too small!

I love having brunch here. I always get the bacon and pancakes and coffee for 8.50 €. Once again space is at a premium. But they do offer patio seating. They serve Java republic coffee which is turning into be my favorite. The servers are always friendly and efficient. The place is consistently packed which is a good sign. I have not had dinner here for a long time. So I cannot comment on that. Will update my review when that happens.

Hands down best cappy for me in Dublin. Java Republic blend. Awesome choc sprinkles on top and a really good size cup. The staff are just lovely too.

Had lunch here yesterday again. I had the warm waffles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. This was absolutely delicious! I have been here now a good few times for lunch and dinner and the food tends to be very nice. The service on the other hand needs to be improved. While staff are friendly they do not seem up to speed. Asked what the soup was and the response was don’t know I just started, maybe vegetable. Turned out it was mushroom. We asked for 2 teas and were charged for 3. We eventually got out point across and the extra tea was removed from the bill. Lack of knowledge from the staff and not being charged correctly I awarded 4 stars.

Had lunch here the other day. The food was great– I had a giant juicy burger with loads of toppings and general deliciousness. It was served with string fries which were lovely, with a burger sauce, and green salad. Massively filling and, as I said, delicious! The service needs some looking-at, however. My friend and I were there at about 4pm on a Saturday — the tail end of lunch, and before dinner service. This meant that there were only a handful of other diners in the restaurant. This did not however mean that we weren’t completely rushed out of our table. After we finished our meal and continued with our chat, each time I took my hand away from something, it was swiftly taken from the table, until we were sitting there with a bare table and only my friend’s glass of water.(I actually wanted a top up of my water! Thanks guys!) We would only have been sitting there for a max of 15 minutes after we finished our meals, and as I said, this was the ‘downtime’ of the restaurant, so we didn’t feel it necessary to move immediately. We were enjoying the meal and our catch up until the heavy handed hinting that ensued to get us out. From clearing the table from underneath us, to one staff member saying loudly«Those two are leaving soon» right next to us. It was a real shame. Perhaps there was an event in the evening or there was a reason for the rush(I would hope!) but either way, it would put me off returning there again.

I went here one Sunday for brunch and I can say it was a big mistake! When we first arrived the restaurant was full but a table came free within minutes. From the beginning I thought it was a mistake. The room was really noisy with people talking loudly because the music was turned up too much. When our waitress seated us she asked if we wanted drinks so my dining companion ordered a latte. When we received the menus after this we realised that coffee came with the breakfasts anyway and she failed to let us know. Strike one for trying to earn more money out of people in a sneaky way. The menu was pretty expensive and if you didn’t want pancakes or a fry then good luck! No french toast or anything actually small or inbetween a breakfast and a scone. When we ordered, our breakfasts(made to order according to the menu) arrived out within minutes. Eggs slopped on a plate, bacon was fatty and watery. We witnessed a couple seated at a table for four moved to a smaller table to accomodate a bigger party arriving — mid eating! Strike two for swindling more money out of people and not caring about their experience. The lights were dimmed and the music was far too high. I felt stressed and annoyed — this isn’t what lazy sunday brunch is about! It’s the kind of place people put up with because there is nowhere else to eat in the area to be honest but even if I was desperate I’ll never go back!

One of my very favourite little café restaurants in Dublin. Amazing food. Great prices. Friendly staff. Incredible breakfast. Been a few times for evening menu too, always great.

Food is lovely & coffee is great, the staff don’t put you under pressure to hurry up so it is a great place to meet people. I’d recommend you park away from SuperValu!
