Found this place by complete accident. I’d never seen it before but the window ful pig pastries invited me in. They ask look so delicious but I want there for that. I grabbed a parma ham and mozzarella panini. It was ful of flavour and hit the spot for lunch. Very friendly staff and I’ll have to make a return for some pastries

I stopped by to try their espresso coffee and their pastry. I was impressed by their window and I decided to try it. The coffee was nice but I expected more. The little cannolo was good but I wasn’t so enthusiastic. Their food displayed inside looked interesting, I didn’t try anything yet so I can’t tell you more: my photos speaks by themselves. I just found the place too small as I expected to be able to join the coffee inside. It is take away service. Just in case you prefer sit, you can’t there The price of minions is bit expensive compared to their quality in my opinion. The stuff is nice, they take care of you and pack your shopping nicely and carefully, which I liked.

This is probably the only real italian bakery in Dublin! I am a huge fan of sweets and chocolate so I immediately loved the place, bringing my boyfriend inside to buy too many cakes: D The nutella roll is the right thing you want to serve to your friends after a lovely dinner, I also recommend the tiramisù. For an italian it’s a little pricey, but we are in Dublin and it’s so good that you can’t resist!

It’s a good thing their sweet treats are displayed in the window and not inside the shop cause looking at everything, I picked about 8 different things I wanted to try but by the time I got to order, I’d forgotten about half of them so the damage to my waistline(and wallet) wasn’t so bad. Apart from the best Cannolli I’ve tried in Dublin and other Italian sweets, they do Italian inspired sandwiches and different kinds of coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful, too bad they don’t have a sit down area.

It’s very difficult to pass Il Fornaio. The beautiful display of tarts and macaroons are enough to draw you in, if not the long lines of Italian — yes, actual Italian tourists — lining up to grab a quick espresso in this oh so tiny shop. You may be crushed up against the wall as you wait in line, but while you struggle to catch your breath, feel free to look at all the authentic Italian food you could buy — if you knew what the hell it was — and listen to the rapid fire conversations of your new Italian friends as they knock back cups of black death like it was water. At 2.50 for a large Americano, I think Il Foranio is a force to be reckoned with. Even though they don’t have room for seating, their coffee is so good I don’t mind having to chance the wind and rain outside. Their biscuits(small cakes shaped like biscuits?) are also beautiful. I’ve eaten several, and I can safely say they are melt in your mouth good. Definitely drop in if you are a coffee lover. Quite the little café.

Had a café latte, a mortadella and courgette panini and an orange and chocolate cannoli after. Coffee was good, it tastes continental and a bit singular as opposed to the stronger nuanced hand roasted styles that we are seeing in Dublin these days. So if you like strong coffee you may want to mention that. Or perhaps she just put one shot and a lot of milk. Good flavour anyway. Panini was good, tasted like Italy. Cannoli also very good, shell was a little soft in places. They have of other Italian treats. This place feels a bit authentic or at least a representation of how similar cafeteria’s are in Italy. I dont like the location and there are not seats so its a take away affair for sambos. Nowhere nice to sit close by so walked back to Powerscourt steps. Its good, in a better location I think it would have more of a buzz about it. The staff were helpful and friendly and said they are busy.
