Rays. Its actually pretty good. The pizza is reasonable in that its not going to bust the bank for a slice of pizza, sweet potato fries and a water to brush the guilt off my collarbone for the pizza and the sweet potato fries. Oh sweet potato fries are healthy I hear you say? Well im pretty sure anything that is fried can get lodged in your arteries overtime like a chunky child clogging up the giant snake slide in the fun factory?(Anyone born in 1985 will know what im talkin bout!) Still they are rather tasty, I have only had the pepperoni pizza. I would have liked a bigger slice if im honest. Like the ones they do in Di Fontaine’s down the road that could put an end to world hunger and Bob Geldofs tasteless christmas single efforts. Maybe thats the inner chunky child trying to escape from inside me! The counter is pretty high here aswell. Probably to stop young ones called Nikita who think they are a castmember from Sex and the City pulling a Sarah Jessica Parkour on a saturday night and shaking their shimmy across the top of the glass top display… There is better pizza for the money but its a good effort and the staff are courteous. Manners are important these days but as im sure Nikita would contest ‘Size does matter also’…

I had a slice of cheese pizza there today. They forgot my order and the table I was sitting at was sticky everywhere somehow. The pizza slice was perfectly tasteless. They aren’t getting a 1⁄5 as I was in there in a different frame of mind and thought the pepperoni wasn’t too bad.

Great pizza, great price, great location, when ever I couldn’t decide what to eat, I just went back here and would recommend it to anyone!

Great cheap pizza! Big slices of thin-crust pizza — cheese and tomato for € 2, or a little more for other toppings like mushroom or pepperoni, and there are ‘gourmet’ slices too. Great for a quick budget lunch or a late night snack after a few drinks in Temple Bar. There’s a nice seating area too.

Ray’s is a little slice of heaven, no pun intended. And to be honest their slices are far from little too! Located in the heart of the city in Temple Bar, Ray’s is the perfect place to grab yourself a quick snack after a busy day of shopping or after a few(or 10) pints. The space is a little small but they’ve managed to pack it full of seats. It’s not really about the dining experience though so it doesn’t matter. Some of the seats look out onto the street so it’s perfect for people watching. The slices of pizza are huge and average around € 2⁄3. You can buy full pizzas too — I’d recommend the 23″ wagon wheel. It’s outrageously big, very reasonbly priced and you’ll have yourself fed for days. I literally couldn’t get it through my front door holding it flat. It’s a beast!

I love this spot. Delicious New York style pizza right beside the Central Bank. I like to keep it simple with just slices of cheese pizza but, hot dang, they are good. And at € 2 a slice you can’t really argue. Their coffee ain’t bad either

Truly a delicious pizza!!! The pepperoni and sausage pizza is nice. It’s nice to have somewhere that opens late and serves nice food I will be back to Rays again

What is Ray’s Pizza: It’s a pizzeria that sells massive slices of pizza for cheap. What does Ray’s Pizza do REALLY well: Massive slices of pizza for cheap! There’s something endearing about the simplicity of Ray’s pizza, there’s a limited choice of pizza for you to choose from and there’s only pizza on the menu. But the pizza is so. damn. good. that the simplicity works in Ray’s favour. The staff are friendly, the interior is fine, honestly I kinda love this place more than I should, especially if you’ve had a beer or two beforehand ;) In short: Ray’s Pizza serves damn good slices of pizza. What more do you want?

It has all the ingredients a pizza should have but… It didn’t really taste like anything but the garlic I added. Pale undercooked crust, flavorless sauce, and greasy low quality cheese. NOTNY pizza by a long shot. But quick service, fair prices, clean establishment, and easy location gives it a few stars.

So, every once in a while(or maybe every lot in a while) the craving for a good slice of pizza overcomes me — whether it be a quickie for lunch or better yet walking home from a gig or show and a sudden hunger hits you. I have walked by so many pizza places, specifically over by Temple Bar and the pizza just doesn’t look appealing, especially at 5 euro a slice(we don’t pay that much for a giant delicious slice of perfect crust pizza in America). Ray’s caught my eye though with the words New York Pizza. Sometimes I see those words and think this is probably a rip-off but at 2.50 for a GIANT cheese slice and 3 euro for a GIANT slice with mushrooms, I gave Ray’s a chance. And thank goodness I did! Of all the pizza in Dublin head to Ray’s. It is worth the euros, filling, perfect crust and cheese. And it’s open late. The only downfall here is they don’t accept cards(cash only). But I promise it’s worth it. Finally, to finding a pizza place to be late night loyal to in Dublin!

Yum! HUGE slices starting from 2 euros for the plain cheese. Very tasty place for a quick bit of soakage before or after a night out. Toppings included Hawaiian, mushroom, plain cheese and pepperoni as well as a few others. Good selection

Used to like it. Over the years has gone seriously down hill. Quality of sauce, cheese and dough is pretty dire these days. Attitude of staff is not much better. The old Rays before they refurbished was so much better.

Prices for a pizza pretty expensive. And the pizza you get for is on the one side fresh, but on the other side extremly thin so you wouldn’t like to pay a 12 € for it…

Seriously Dublin? You think this is edible? Jebus. I desperately wanted to like this place. It looks like pizza places in grew up going to in the States, it’s cheap, and they offer a meal deal where you can combine French fries with a slice, two of my favorite things. Upon further reflection however pizza is itself a meal this making the concept of a pizza meal deal stupid. Also the pizza and fries are just terrible. Like school cafeteria terrible. American school cafeteria terrible even.

This place really reminds me of the original Ray’s Pizza in New York City and I am glad I tried it. It may be hard to believe but they have real New York-Style thin crust pizza and they give you a huge slice for two Euro. I was pleasantly surprised.

I don’t tell anyone this, but on two occasions, I’ve gone all the way into town just to have a slice of Ray’s Pizza. One of the best Pizza slices you’ll ever get.

This place hits the spot, and it is open pretty late. The slices are large and tasty in the NY style tradition… fold the slice and avoid the grease, but hits the spot. You can get your favorite topping on the cheese slices waiting to be thrown in the oven. Workers were friendly.

I’ve been walking past this«joint» for a couple of months and always wanted to try it. Now, don’t ask me what it was that attracted me, it definitely isn’t the most visible or stylish restaurant you’ll ever come across, but then again that’s not what it’s targeted at. Its proximity to Trinity naturally results in lots of students(at least while I was there) and I assume that Temple Bar also helps with the walk-ins. Anyway, what you’ll get is a straight forward pizza fast food place with friendly stuff and delicious pizza. The pizza comes in slices and you can have it as a menu as well. I chose the Cajun chicken with extra Cajun sauce and a drink for 6EUR. The ONE thing that I loved was the thin crunchy base, laiden with nice toppings. In this country — no offence — you just can’t find thin crunchy pizza like they serve in Italy. At least all the main delivery services only have the thick, greasy, doughy base. Ray’s is different. When I folded the pizza to dip it in the sauce I it cracked half way, loved it. All in all it was great pizza, big enough portion and I would love to come back after a night out, when you crave the carbs! I’ll be back for sure

Ray’s does cheap late night takeaway slices’o’pizza. The clientele is very broad, and the location is great. The food itself is alright, it’s perfectly fine by late night dublin eating standards, but just like Charlie’s, I’d quickly regret going here sober…

If pizza isn’t the single greatest type of foodstuff ever invented, I’d love to know what is. Ray’s is a great example of how good pizza can be even at its most basic. There’s nothing more exciting here than a few sun-dried tomatoes(fun fact: before Lidl and Aldi washed up on our shores, only three Irish people had ever eaten a sun-dried tomato). At Ray’s, basic is brilliant. Just some cheese of a questionable origin, nice thin crust and low price. Plus it’s in a good location to crash out and recharge your batteries before heading back out into the big bad world. As I got to work on my slice, I couldn’t help watch the goings-on at the Occupy Dame Street camp. It felt like a bit of a Marie Antoinette moment, not that they seem like the angry mob sort.
