I really love this store! It sells hippy pants(and other hippy clothes & accessoires) and also band and fan shirts. So for my taste it’s the best store :) Sadly the changing rooms are a bit small but it’s grand. The sales assistent who are working there are always friendly and helpful if you have any questions. The clothes you’ll get there has a normal quality and the price is fair.

I’ve wandered into K-OT-IK before and then quickly wandered out. Perhaps it’s the window display, but it does feel a little«I’m going through my obligatory secondary school goth phase» type of shop. Getting past that, on the inside this shop is a t-shirt and jeans type of girls paradise, so yes I did buy a nice Fleetwood Mac t-shirt. If there is any issues with this shop it’s that it’s too small, and the racks are bursting with clothes, so your going to need to go digging for that Johnny Cash t-shirt you desperately want. There is also no debit card machine, so come in here with cash or get ready to make a dash to the nearest ATM. For the t-shirt I bought, it cost 20 euro, which I was a tad upset to part with. I’m not sure about the quality of these t-shirts so I’m hoping that was good value for money. To be honest, the t-shirts are wonderful in here, so this makes it a very expensive shop for someone who wanted to buy at least four t-shirts on sale here yesterday. The shop attendant is lovely, and doesn’t give you the evils as you pull down t-shirt after t-shirt, or like myself, run out and come back with a really crumpled twenty euro. I like this shop. I like these clothes. I don’t like how quickly I’m going to be broke buying t-shirts in here. Brilliant stuff.

Best shop in town to pick up music t-shirts from every decade. Great variety and not a «One Direction» print in sight! I still have t-shirts I bought from this place 2 years ago and they last great. Top quality prints and material for € 18 a piece which is a steal compared to online and other retailers for gear that is simply just not as good and at least here you can try them on so no let’s pick a size online only to find that large is actually an XXL or XXS when it arrives in the real world. I picked up a couple of t-shirts here today. There was a real nice lady on the counter who I think runs or owns the shop and can let you know what designs are coming in and knocks of a euro when you buy two shirts(well she did today!). Not sure if ownership has changed but the shop is called«Viper» now and doesn’t go in so much for the old hippie tie dye stuff as mentioned in the 2009 reviews but more retro music t-shirts, hoodies, original designs and what my daughter told me today was emo clothing and bags(I thought that was the cute little red guy from Sesame Street). The Clash, Ramones, MSP, Stone Roses, Smiths, Joy Division, Dead Kennedys, RATM, Johnny Cash, Blondie, etc. — Great selection and also loads of the metal bands and brit-pop stuff some people like so something for everyone(male and female) who wants a decent music shirt even if the band on it may be questionable!

Simply the best tee-shirt shop in Dublin. For the best part of 5 years you could not get good quality band tee-shirts in Dublin. When i first dropped into K-ot-ik they had not one but 4 different Smiths tee shirts. i was so happy. Since then I’ve bought about 10 band tee-shirts.

I have to say i was sadly dissappointed when i went in. First of all they arent one bit cheap, and they didnt even have a sale on. EVERY shop in town had a sale even the most expensive ones like debenhams, m&s, brown thomas to name but a few. The clothes arent designer so i cant understand why they are so pricey. They should get with the times and reduce the prices. They might do more business then!!!

I didn’t think K-OT-IK was even remotely«hippie» as some of the other reviewers have mentioned, despite some of the clothes being kind of wild. This place, instead struck me as being one of the best little t-shirt shops in all of Dublin! They sell reproduction t-shirts featuring bands, cartoons, and funny and interesting designs. They aren’t vintage, but they’re sooooo soft, so you could easily pretend to yourself that they’re really 30 years old. They also sell some really neat bags that seem ideal for carting around a laptop, and some really silly ones that have external clear plastic pockets that are filled with cheap dolls, toys and sparkles. These seem like a perfect accessory for an outrageous gay man.

I was really pleasantly surprised by K-OT-IK(note: that name is really annoying to type out). :From outside it looks like a dive run by hippies in hemp cardigans and dreadlocks. Inside I found some of the coolest t-shirts I had seen in Dublin. They look like home-made vintage band tees with the likes of the Doors, The Clash and Lou Reed on them. Right up my alley. The fit on some of the t-shirts was a bit weird, but they still were highly original. The décor of the place was slightly questionable, but the girl on the till was lovely and overall I was very impressed by K-OT-IK. But please management, change the name.

If you’re after loud clothes, shop at K-ot-ik. You will most certainly find some psychedelic oranges and greens here! K-ot-ik is the type of store you’d expect to find at a music festival — crazy, out there clothes and accessories that people don’t really seem to wear in real life but pull out in droves when contemplating spending a week caked in mud and listening to good tunes. I’m guilty of the above, and I have myself an entire festival wardrobe, so I can see how some of the items in store might be attractive to festival goers. But unless you’re a second year arts student or try-hard hippie, you probably wouldn’t clothe yourself in this stuff on a day-to-day basis. Anyway, as Alexandra said, it’s hard to sort the good from the bad, but if you take the time to fossick around you might just nab yourself a hot outfit for Electric Picnic!

K-OT-IK on Liffey Street sells both men and women’s clothes but it needs a bit of updating. For every nice item, there are about five ugly ones. Some of the women’s clothes look like they were patched together in the dark. The men’s stuff is mediocre. I saw a t-shirt with Elmo on it. I’m not sure what grown man would wear this. The women’s purses being sold here are nice. The shop has a lot of those hippie cloth bags that are popular in Spain and Italy. You know the ones made out of cloth with the thick strap? There are also colourful rectangle purses with zippers and psychedelic prints. These ones would be good for carrying a laptop. K-OT-IK is not a complete waste of time but requires you to do all the hard work.
