Popped in for a bite to eat on my own. Staff were friendly and service was quick. The mushroom soup was lovely and the bread was delicious. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the chicken sandwich. The chicken was cold and plain, not at all flavored with herbs or spices. The description said it had mayonnaise yet there was none. It was dry and very bland and cost € 8.50. I also had a hot chocolate which had lumpy bits at the bottom that nearly made me sick. I won’t be going again which is a pity as it has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Was greeted by a really friendly host behind the counter, told to take a seat wherever I liked. The atmosphere is really chill, and the music they play very soothing. It’s location is fab, really handy for a bite to eat before headed off to other things. The food was great: BBQ pulled pork and coleslaw on a fab white bap. I got an apple juice which was warm though, thought it would have been cold; but to be fair it didn’t necessarily take away from the flavour. Not much chat out of the girl who dropped down the food, but you can’t have it all. Curious to try the sweet treats, but it’ll be an excuse to come back ;)

Great espresso and croissants right in the heart of Dublin. French brasserie run by Italians in Ireland– how could it not be good?

Met some friends here for coffee on Bastille day. We just missed the chanteuse in the bubble bath outside. We had excellent coffees and treats. I would recommend this place.

Great service, yummy croissants and fab French toast! We came back here for lunch the BLT was really good very different states and that the bacon is more like what we would think of as ham. It was really really crusty sourdough roll. The mixed fruit tart tasted as good as it looked. Crisp tender crust, smooth pastry crime, ripe fruit. It was perfectly right in all ways!

Oh dear… where to start? I didn’t receive the warmest of welcomes or even an friendly ‘hello’ when I got here. It was Saturday early afternoon and only two tables were occupied by guests. The interior is quite nice, comfy chairs and not too loud music. The blackboard advertises ‘various herbal teas’ which turned out to be either peppermint, camomile or camomile and ginger. Meh. I chose a Mocha which was the worst Mocha I ever had. It neither tasted of coffee nor chocolate but of warm milk. Double-Meh. The spoon it was served with was dirty and sticky. Super-meh! The chocolate tart I ordered however was nice, rich and very chocolate-y. And pretty to look at.

We stopped in for breakfast while in Dublin and really enjoyed our meal. The service was really great, as was the food. It was a really cute little place to stop in.

An unexpected good experience here. Initially I went into the Mercantile to use their facilities(I know, very bold as a non customer). But then I decided, having walked past the Petit Parisian, to have a cuppa to pass the time. It’s part of the Mercantile, so I was able to get to Petit Parisian without having to step outside again. The place is decorated really well, a bit clichéd a la Paris, but still lovely. The tables had fabulous little flower arrangements. The food displayed invitingly on the counter. I got a cup of coffee and two madeleines. The Americano was excellent. Honestly, I knocked it back so quickly. The madeleines were extremely yummy too. I stayed longer than planned as it started raining and I’d no jacket with me. I watched as people sheepishly came in out of the rain, accessing the place to see if they should stay or not. I wanted to tell them the coffee was great and to pull up a pew… but I kept quiet. They decided to stay, which was cool. I chatted to the staff as I settled up. They were nice. I’ll definitely be back for the coffee. You should too.

Great sandwiches; I had the fresh mozzarella and tomato sandwich and he had the BLT. We both really enjoyed our sandwiches. We also both ordered Carmel machiattos he felt that his was to sweet so he didn’t drink his. The service was prompt and friendly. We found the prices to be reasonable. We went back the next day and had brunch. He had a ham and cheese croissant which was to die for and I had a strawberry tart which was equally delicious! He got a pot of tea and I had a cup of coffee both of them good. Once again the service was friendly and prompt.

I was only here for a quick hot chocolate, but my god, was it a really good one. Really hot and chocolatey… it was like they just melted this top quality stuff into my mug and added a little milk. I would love to come here for lunch or even a pastry and coffee. So tempting and the staff are really friendly.

Another Petit Parisien(related to the one on Wicklow St. I think, as the sign is the same) has recently opened in the Mercantile during the day. They serve lovely fresh pastries and scones. The pastries really are delicious. As are the scones. Though I found the jam a little bit too sweet for my taste. The best thing is that they’re open earlier than 9 unlike so many places. It’s been my pitstop recently for a breakfast pastry and a coffee before going to work for 9.
