Such a great place and excellent food. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was little taste of heaven, fresh and so so tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful also. Cannot wait for my next visit home to enjoy some excellent food and service again at this fine place.

Egg and banana pancakes! A place actually does this. And they’re fantastic! This place also does some nice salads too, I’ve been here a good few times but it continues to surprise me with its menu. Usually pretty busy which will make sense to you when you try their food.

Had a great omelette and loved the side salad that came with it! Cucumber water was a nice touch. Not super heavy on atmosphere, but a cute enough place. Definitely want to come back for lunch.

This is a great spot for lunch! They make their own breads and the tomato was definitely my favorite. It has a cute atmosphere. The menu is fun and you use whiteboard markers to mark down your order. The soup was also worth it to complete the meal! If you’re in a rush definitely order to go.

Was rather disappointed that they didn’t have waffles here as they mentioned it in their online menu. Ended up getting the beef burger which was a huge disappointment. Burger and the sweet potato fries were very oil and soggy. The best thing on the plate was actually the salad which had nuts, peppers, beans and squash and etc. Really regretted my choice of having the burger. Maybe it wasn’t their speciality, but it was rather gross. Only good thing is that their portions were huge.

We went in here looking for a quick breakfast but we were late enough that we had to get lunch. The ordering process involves taking a erasable marker and marking items on the menu and handing that to waiter or waitress. I had a soup which was really good an the salad was ok. What really impressed us were the fresh squeezed juices. They were fantastic. The reason they are getting a 3 star instead of 4 star from me us the order they bring things. Basically, the food gets served up as it is cooked. In our case, I got my soup first, second was our drinks, then came everything else. I would have preferred to have my soup with the salad and not have to eat it before the drinks out of fear it might get cold. Not sure if I will be back for the food but I will certainly be back for the juices.

This is a great spot near Odessa and the Exchequer, went in for Sunday Brunch and the pancakes were really yummy. I went back again for lunch and had a goats cheese sandwich on brown bread. You get a side of couscous and it’s healthy, delicious and great value! The staff are super friendly and are always available to help, it’s one of my favourite spots to catch up with friends!

This place was very nice! It has a feeling of a business meeting I think. I imagine myself going here if I am meeting a hip client to discuss graphic design with, but maybe that’s just me(I have no experience of either clients or graphic design haha!). Anyways, the service is great. Our waitress was helpful with suggestions and not irritated even though we changed our order. She said goodbye and have a nice flight when we left too, which is always nice! I had the regular omelett with turkey. It was yummy but nothing spectacular. What was spectacular, however, was the salad on the side. I highly recommend that!

I do not get the fuss about this place!!! Was that a a question? Was that a proclamation? I came here the weekend after New Years for brunch with some friends. I was really excited. I had heard great things! I asked what the white bread was like [wanting to check it was’t shop bought sliced pan] I was told everything was freshly made in house. Great! So I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich on white bread. Boy was it the blandest sandwich I had had in a long time. The ingredients were fresh but so tasteless. The bread was disappointing too. I am a bread whore. I like my bread. This would have tasted better on shop bought batch. Meh!

When the waiter offers you advice and understands your needs — ‘Do you want an extra big salad?’ ‘You guys look like you need some more water’ — I am impressed even before the food comes. It is true that waiters can be a bit annoying and hover over you like an awkward lamp. Thankfully, not here. Met with a friendly smile, and waved goodbye the staff at Honest to Goodness are relaxed, attentive and have a laugh. This has been my second outing to Honest to Gooness, and I have left once again with a satisfied tummy and eagerness to come again. I went for the ‘Nude burger’ — no bun and no extras, with that extra big side salad and veg soup. It was exactly at it says above the door — honest to goodness. Check this place out if you want to take on something new, healthy and fun in 2015!

Dropped in on a Saturday for lunch and it was quite busy, but there were still a few tables. The girl who was serving was really rude; because I was alone she said I can’t sit at a table because it’s busy and tried to turn me away, but then made me sit at the bar, even though there were like 3 free tables unreserved! She said if I sat at those and two customers were to come in, I’d have to move! What the hell? Anyway, she took 20 mins to even take my order in the first place, and seemed annoyed like«one person customers are unwelcome» kind of attitude which irked me. I ended up just ordering just tea since it seemed like it would’ve taken a decade if I’d ordered food and then left. I was really unhappy with the service and will no longer offer my custom here.

Best toasted sambo’s around. Got the kick start which is basically a fancy BLT and it was Amazing! I’ve had a few hit and misses with the salads but I think that’s down purely to my personal palate. If your looking for a sambo’s around Dame Street then look no further.

I dropped in early this morning to Honest to Goodness, and was greeted by there very friendly waitress and shown to a window seat at the front(great for people watching). The menu looked great and I was torn between the gluten fee pancakes and the eggs royal. I Had a short chat with the very friendly waitress and we decided in the eggs but with avocado Instead of chips as it was very early in the day. The food looked great ! Very appetising looking. The eggs royal is salmon poached eggs on a bagel covered in hollandaise Sauce. Every place does their hollandaise a little different And tries to put their own spin on it. I prefer it with a good dash of vinegar in it to give it a tang but it not to everyone’s taste and their sauce was light on the vinegar The dish was lovely as was the coffee that came with, there’s alota eating in the eggs and I wasn’t able to finish it but it was not for lack of tastiness ! I was just stuffed I would definitely revised and will, I need to try those pancakes which sounded delicious!

I love this place. I used to be an infrequent visitor when they were based in George’s Market Arcade because it was always jammed, even getting takeaway. Imagine my delight when they opened a new far bigger premises on Dame Court! Why do I like it so much? I think it’s well priced and value for money. I’ve never come away from here anything other than happily full and full of cheer. The food is fresh as can be, it’s tasty and their bread is made here. Yum. They have really good value and delicious specials and takeaways are decently priced. Any downside to the place? It’s always incredibly busy at usual lunchtime of 1pm. My recommendation? Go earlier or later. It’s well worth it. Haven’t eaten dinner here so can’t comment on it.

This place was amazing !!! I had a wonderful Sunday brunch yesterday at Honest to Goodness. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon, fresh cheese and toast with a yummy juice called Ginger Zinger. Typically for Dublin, portions are big — as I like them — and the presentation is simple but pretty. The service was phenomenally kind, especially when you compare it to standard service in Belgium. Friendly, fast, smiling and with a regular check if everything was according to our wishes. The music with 70s references contributed to the feel-good atmosphere of the place. The interior is light with lots of white, light wood and some green highlights. If I had to give any remark, it would be that I like the yolk of my poached egg still slightly liquid, which wasn’t the case, but that is really the only imperfection. Oh yeah, and the place is pretty cheap, so no complaints at all!

Though I had been here with friends before, unbelievably, I only ate here for the first time yesterday. I cannot praise Honest to Goodness highly enough. A sunny day, we sat outside and within seconds a waitress was there to help us with the menu, advise us on the specials and take our drink orders. After much humming and hawing between the salad and sandwich, I ended up ordering the roast chicken on tomato bread. With a fair few supplements, the woman serving us was so accommodating; nothing at all could have been too much. It came and had a lovely little mountain of cous cous next to it which was yum. The sandwich itself, which I was not too sure about ordering as I had wanted something light, was perfect. The bread was really thin and crispy and complemented rather than took over the filling which a lot of bread can. The whole thing just left you feeling good after. At seven Euro, it was money well spent and I was happy. On the next sunny day, I think it will be a takeaway as for seven Euro, you can get the same thing plus either a soup or smoothie. They also had, which I’m dying to try, a weekend brunch for eight Euro consisting of homemade granola followed by scrambled eggs and bacon. A great experience, you leave feeling full, satisfied and good for what you just ate. No guilty pleasures here, just Honest to Goodness great food.

Tried it twice in the last few weeks. Very impressed. Really like their«mark your menu» mode of getting your order(you tick boxes on a comprehensive menu to indicate your food and drink order). The place is airy and brigt, staff have been friendly both times I as in, and most importantly, the food has been lovely. I had salad one time(with bread) — substantial and deliciious, and anothe time, just a sandwich. Home made bread looks good and they have different flavours(have not tried). Smoothies were good as well. Plus the coffee was good. I’d recommend for lunch, for afternoon coffee, or for hanging out when it’s not busy with laptop open.
