We visited Odessa on a Weekend for Brunch. I don’t usually go for Brunch as I’m a weirdo who doesn’t eat Eggs, or sea food. Great ambiance. The dining room isn’t the biggest but they still managed to get our group of 3 a nice table where we could chat. There was a large party celebrating a Birthday in the center of the room. Sometimes this can affect the service that the rest of the parties receive but this wasn’t an issue at Odessa. Food was yummy — Leek Sausages were my favourite! I recommend booking in advance. I will return.

Food was pretty good. I had the baked ham w/asparagus and hollandaise. It is massive, share this. Food comes out quick but servers are slow /unattentive. I will still go back.

Stumbled on to this hidden gem while out for a walk in dublin. Great wine list(good value by the glass) wonderful food, with great service(waiter with beard). Other than the room has no soul it would be 5 Stars.

Review on the bar/pub area This is a classical pub on multiple floors and there is also a restaurant with food. The décor is typical for an irish pub, maybe a bit more modern than usual. They have a cool patio on the top floor, with an open air area. On weekends they have a DJ playing music in the evenings. Hence it is a good place for a drink and some fun. Unfortunately their cocktail list is a bit limited, for example no Caipirinhas The location is very central as well

Odessa is DIVINE! The staff are so friendly, their food is delicious and the cocktails are claaaaaass. It’s quite pricey but it’s such a sophisticated spot if you want a really classy ‘treat yourself’ kind of evening out. I met up with an old friend from secondary school here and we spent the night drinking Espresso Martinis and had burgers to finish. We sat in the same spot upstairs for nearly 5 hours and had such a pleasant time as the room started to fill up. It never got too noisy and it was just such a lovely, cosy and cool place to be in. I’ll definitely be returning and can’t wait to take my friends here to feel super posh and cool!

I have always been a big fan of Odessa until my recent experience, I still like the place but not as much as I used to. Have Odessa management changed? They now have sweet potatoes, crab cakes and no brunch special. Menu is similar to Taco Taco, plus loud music.

I have been here both for nightlife and for a brunch. I prefer it for nightlife to be honest. First of all, the place itself is quite big, three floors and the last floor comes with a rooftop. I think rooftop place is quite cosy for pre-drinks, also the music is quite a good taste which is not typical for Irish music scene. But maybe we were just lucky with a dj. Brunchwise, I think the choice of food is quite good. But the place itself seems quite dim-ish and the view from the first floor is dull. I ordered toast with bacon in Mariel syrup and I enjoyed it. My friend’s quesadilla though wasn’t that good since the cheese seemed a bit plastic.

I went to Odessa for brunch with my partner this weekend. While the setting and the staff were as nice as usual, I had a problem with the background music being too loud for my liking. We didn’t mind the usual delay between ordering and getting our food, after all it was peak hour on Sunday. He had the huevos rancheros and was pretty pleased with them. I had the crab cakes, sweet potato fries and poached eggs(no rocket as I don’t like it)… and I was not pleased. — the items were just thrown on the plate without any attempt to make it look nice. — the crab cakes came without any dressing or dip(chili sauce or yogurt w/lemon and coriander would be nice for example) — the eggs were a tad undercooked, they were rescued by the fact that the hollandaise was good, — I had to ask for bread, which took an additional 5 to 10 minutes while my food got cold, and they brought barely toasted granary slices(Brennan’s, from the look of it) which was chewy and didn’t do the job at all. — the fries were delicious but nobody asked if I wanted any condiments with them, that was a shame. Over all I didn’t have a good time eating all this. It was bland, poorly presented and boring.

Finally had a chance to try Odessa’s brunch last weekend and was very happy that I did. My chicken quesadilla was excellent. Nice flavours and even better with the guacamole. My friends ordered a variety of dishes including the eggs benedict which they also seemed to enjoy. Odessa accepts reservations for brunch and has a nice atmosphere. Give them a try!

Awesome quick in and out brunch place ! Really delicious, very filling and satisfying breakfast for a Sunday morning ! Really cool, sort of modern rustic feel with a great brunch menu. I had Vanilla Bourbon French Toast with Maple Bacon and a nice orange juice. The meal came out extremely quick and was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for parties of all sizes from 2 – 20!

Odessa is in my opinion, the best spot in Dublin for brunch. The menu, prices & service is always top notch. Only recently am I discovering the other services they provide. And the top floors where you can book for an event etc… I can’t recommend this place enough.

Went here for brunch. The tables are too close together so it doesn’t feel that private but frankly I didn’t find that an issue because for me the most important part is the food… Having said that the cocktails are also good. I had mimosa and food wise I chose French toast with ham. This was well cooked. Can’t fault here for brunch!

Found myself in Odessa on Friday evening looking for a bite after a post-work appointment ran late, there was no menu outside so we ventured in regardless, our rumbling stomachs were definitely calling the shots at this stage as it’s not something I’d usually do. We had eaten brunch there before and had come away reasonably impressed by the food so we figured that we’d be in safe hands. On seeing the menu though we both wished that we hadn’t ventured in blind: there were only five mains on offer and none seemed overly enticing, however, not wanting to be awkward and leave after being seated we decided to give the dinner menu a go. We both went for the French Onion soup for starters and it was a really well-flavoured soup, savoury with a touch of sweetness from the onions and a nice acidity from the balsamic, it was adorned with the typical gruyère-topped croûton, which added a lovely richness to it. We both loved it and were very much looking forward to our mains at this stage. Feeling like we’d like to ease ourselves into the weekend with a touch of virtuousness — we both went for the veggie options on the menu — a spinach roulade with salad for me, and a sweet potato and goat’s cheese salad for himself. Sad to say, our good intentions didn’t pay off, neither main was great shakes — the components in both of our dishes just didn’t come together very well and we left feeling a little sorry for ourselves, wishing we’d either gone for the more indulgent options on the menu or eaten elsewhere. After sampling their evening menu and finding it a very hit-and-miss affair, I think it’s safe to say that I’d only return to Odessa in the afternoon for their more reliable brunch offerings.

This morning we ventured out to Odessa… once again. Some of my friends like to stick to what they know best, and brunch in Odessa always delivers. I usually stick to the eggs benedict or eggs florentine. Their poached eggs are close to perfection. We were seated in the upstairs part, rather than the restaurant. It’s cosier, but also tends to get very loud. On a large table like ours, it’s hard to hear each other and there’s a lot of shouting(ouch my thoroat!). Hence the four stars instead of five.

Came here with my boyfriend and friend looking for somewhere to brunch on New Year’s Day. One of the few places open and apparently my boyfriend had been there before. We made our way up the dark and musty staircase to the dining room to where we were greeted to a dingy, dirty and unloved experience. Opted for the quesadillas and smoothie of the day: queso was pretty nice, nothing to rave about, but the ‘mixed fruit’ smoothie was pretty unbearable. Expensive prices for pretty average fare. My friend left his umbrella and the present I’d just given him at the bar and one of the waiters who was rather laddish came out after us and told him that he’d left ‘his shit’ at the bar. Pretty unprofessional, not very impressed.

I was here recently for our work Christmas party and Odessa really put on a great show. We started with a Prosecco reception in the rooftop bar, the two guys behind the bar played a blinder keeping everyone with a drink in hand. The bar and roof terrace itself is excellent and definitely worth the five flights of stairs that you need to climb. For the dinner we had to trundle back downstairs to the restaurant, where we had the whole main level to ourselves. For a starter I had the poached pear with goats cheese and cured ham. It was nice enough, but the pear was a tad overpowering and there could have been more goats cheese. For a main I went for the fillet steak with green beans and mash. This was flipping lovely, the highlight of the whole meal. The steak was cooked perfectly medium as requested. Yum — I’m getting hungry thinking about it. And for dessert I had the Christmas pudding, which was very nice too. The floor staff were running around serving us as quick as they could, they really put in 100% as far as I could see. The white chosen for dinner was a Spanish Verdejo and was excellent. I wasn’t planning on drinking any wine, but there was no alternative options for alcohol offered down in the restaurant. I did try to seek an alternative, but staff were flying around so I gave up. After dinner we trundled back upstairs to the rooftop bar, where we partied away the night with the DJ throwing out the tunes. There was lots of dancing done. And again the two guys behind the bar were on hand to keep us with drinks in hand. They were both very pleasant and friendly. The one more criticism I would have is the TV in the top bar, it was showing cult type movies from the 50s and 60s. No sound on, but still very distracting. I was staring entranced at Barbarella for far too long! As I was a guest of my company here, I have no idea how much all this cost, so cannot comment on the value. But everything else on the whole was excellent from Odessa. If you are looking for somewhere to have a company night out, you couldn’t go far wrong here.

Brunching is one of my top 5 life skills, and I wanted to get in some practice while in Dublin, so we headed here on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a whole building of eating-joy, and when we headed upstairs we were directed to the next floor up for a table. This space is very cool — a casual, classy lounge/bar with lots of armchairs, couches and dividers between tables so that you’re not too close anyone except your beloved. I love Eggs Benedict like I love cute puppies, and couldn’t resist the smoked salmon eggs Benedict with home fries for € 12.95. These were delivered pretty quickly and were everything eggs benny should be — delicious oozy eggs, generous hollandaise and taken to a whole new level of awesomeness with the home fries. Cut more like triangles than fries, these are super crispy and great for a carb-overload with the muffin. Service was fine, not the friendliest I’ve ever received but it didn’t taint our experience. Nor did the fact a guy on the next table was rubbing his nibbles at his girlfriend to try to make her laugh. She didn’t laugh but I sure did. He even came over to apologise in case I was offended(he clearly didn’t realise I was Australian). That made for a funny end to a tasty meal at Odessa, and I’d definitely return here for more of the eggs when I’m back in Dublin(hopefully no nipple-rubbing though).

«Easter Brunch» We ate here on Easter Sunday. The French toast was excellent and my smoked salmon eggs benedict was good but eggs slightly over and a little watery. Kir Royal and Mimosa very enjoyable and the white wine we ordered was very quaffable. Tables are close togerher imo

A bit dear for brunch, and the fry honestly wasn’t that great. I’d definitely try something else next time. The ambiance of the place is nice. The absolute best thing about brunch at Odessa? PITCHERS of mimosas or bloody Mary’s! Whoever decided to put that on the menu is pure genius! What better way to start your Sunday?

Popped in here for lunch with my wife on Saturday. Was on our list of places to try for a while. When we arrived(around 1ish) we had to wait for about 20 mins for a table as there were about 3 other couples ahead of us. Most people had reserved a table, which I’ll do the next time. There are two levels the ground level which is we’re it seemed to be all going on, kitchen in the back, bright and open. We got a table on the basement in the end. It’s more of an intimate setting, dark with a nice little cocktail bar. Seats are big and comfy. I found it a little to warm in the basement but that’s just me. We ordered off the brunch menu, I went for my usual full Irish or as they call it, the Odessa Breakfast. Two things caught my eye on the fry, the Keenan-Kennedy pork and chive sausages and their homemade baked beans. The sausages I thought were over cooked and maybe oven or deep fat fried, not what I was expecting from a gourmet sausage. Now the beans on the other hand were amazing, slight hint of curry powder with nice tomato and onion flavours. They made up for the sausages. Apart from waiting for a seat service and staff were great, friendly and food came out quickly. Looks like they do a mean cocktail also! Will come back for more food and drinks soon.
