Wonderful place. Seriously busy, so make sure to reserve a table in advance. They do accept walk-ins, but you might be waiting for a while — so make sure to bring snacks! Great place to go after a long night out and in need of some soul food to fill you up with goodness. They do also serve a wide selection of cocktails that can get you back in shape in no time.

FINALLY made it to San Lorenzo’s. Friends have been raving about it, so I wanted to try the place. We went for dinner, and it was delicious! Both me and my eat-mate had the Veal parmesan piccata with white wine, lemon & capers, mac’n’cheese, and char-grilled green asparagus. It was really quite nice. Upon ordering we really wondered how piccata and macaroni and cheese were going to work, but took a chance. In truth, if they just brought out a big pan of the macaroni, we would have been even happier. We also got the wine special, which was delightful. And to end the delicious meal, we split the very tasty New York Nutella baked cheesecake with chocolate brownie ice-cream, salted caramel sauce. That was an experience. I think I might be back just to have a slice of that monster with some good wine. Sounds like a wonderful night to me!

Great brunch(of champions) here with a friend recently. It’s a lively spot so the music was pumping and the crowd was buzzing. We both had crab cakes and Bloody Marys to drink. Price was reasonable and the service was good. if you want to come book ahead as it always seems busy. It’s a cool space and we’ll be back soon no doubt.

Having read all the reviews, I was expecting an exceptional meal but was disappointed. Good menu choice but the food was certainly no better, or worse than any other Italian restaurant. I got the SARDINEPOMODOROBRASATO for starter and GRILLEDHAKEALFORNO for main. The fish and salad was very greasy and boring, it wasn’t seasoned well.

Nutella cheesecake. You must eat this Nutella cheesecake before you die. You need to go to Ireland so that you can eat this Nutella cheesecake before you die. You must tell as many people about this Nutella cheesecake before you die. You will remember this Nutella cheesecake on your death bed. I have nothing else to say about this establishment.

Delicious menu selections — we had the porchetta, and the ragu with fresh pasta. Both were delicious, well prepared and seasoned. Service was professional and pleasant. The atmosphere is great for a night out, and the location was central and a lot of fun. Great cocktail menu, don’t start your meal without something from their vast selections. Absolutely DONOTMISS the Nutella Cheesecakes. This was in the top 5 of the desserts of my whole life. Incredible balance, not too sweet, so indulgent and satisfying. Save room you will not regret it, even with the calorie consumption.

I’ve been to San Lorenzo’s for both brunch on a Sunday and dinner on a Sunday night and both were really great experiences. The food was very tasty and fresh and filling, I was so full after each meal. The brunch menu is now different to when I visited but looks just as good. However, the New York Baked Nutella Cheesecake and Pecan Pie are still on the menu and they are both scrumptious. For dinner we tried a mixture of dishes and each one was bursting with flavour and were very decent sized portions, in fact I couldn’t finish the venison ragu pasta and there was so much, but this is a very good thing. The gambas were unreal and we wanted another portion as soon as we finished them as they were so juicy and served on a sauce soaked slice of bread, the Breasola salad was perfect and nice and light and the hake was the most perfectly balanced fish dish I have ever had. The side order of mustard mash was devoured it was so good and creamy. The bread and butter pudding looked great but I didn’t try it as it was very custard-y and I dislike custard but I had a whopper slice of the New York Baked Nutella Cheesecake and it was perfect served with cream and ice-cream. A really great, strong coffee was the perfect finish to the meal. The total came to just shy of € 70. The place looks super inside, decorated really tastefully and warm and the atmosphere is really chilled out. I will be coming back.

Disappointing! I had been looking forward to brunch here as I had heard so many good things about it but the food really let the place down. From what I can remember, the staff were fine and there was a good buzz in the dining room itself but not on my plate! The fish cakes were ok but I find undressed leaves in a restaurant like this a no-no, you’re charging enough for the food to be able to afford a couple of drops of olive oil and balsamic! I LOVE asparagus but they managed to screw up a vegetable that requires minimal TLC to be delicious. Fail! I would love to say that I’ll go back and give it another go but I’m not sure it’d be worth it.

Popped in here for a cheeky midweek feed. It was a smidge on the pricey side but hey, has to be done every once in a while! I got the steak which came with creamy mash, green beans and garlic butter and it was very good indeed! And the steak was massive so I didn’t feel so bad about paying the extra € 8 on top of the € 22 early bird deal! And of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the much talked about Nutella cheesecake, and it was all kinds of deliciousness! Really indulgent but oh so worth every last calorie! It came with a chocolatey brownie ice cream that was heaven on a plate. It’s a must try! Overall I had a really nice meal and the staff were lovely and our food came super quick! Definitely will be back!

Absolutely delicious and affordable! We were here on Valentine’s Day(we grabbed the last reservation slot for brunch) and thoroughly enjoyed their Brunch of Champions! I’d never noticed this small spot right on Georges, and we never would have found it if Whitefriar Grill hadn’t been booked! We were a bit squished, sitting in between two other tables, but the food soon took our mind off of it! I had the Raspberry Crush(a refreshing lemon and raspberry fizzy drink) and the veggie breakfast– a masterpiece of potato hashbrown, tomato, spinach, asparagus and two eggs. Apart from the huge mushrooms on top(somehow I misread the menu! Not a fan!) everything was delicious and the sizeable portion left me full for hours. My boyfriend ordered the Panettone french toast with blueberry compote and cream– no words can describe it. He had never tried regular Panettone before and was absolutely blown away by this amazing dish. I had a few bites and was similarly entranced(I’ll probably be getting either that, or the coco pops french toast next time because WHAATTT???) The staff members were very accommodating and attentive. Apart from the dazzling food, our bill came to only 23 euro! Amazing value, especially in a city centre place. We are definitely planning our return.

This place was amazing for a romantic date on Valentine’s Day. Everything about it was perfect. We were welcomed by a menu with special cocktails they had for that particular day. We started with one of these each. I went for the rye whiskey cocktail and my girlfriend opted for the gin, crime de cassis alternative. Both were beautiful and loaded with booze! We followed these by a pork belly starter and a buffalo cheese starter. The pork belly was drizzled in the most delicious sauce and the lemon wedge added a zest to the dish that left me dying for more. The salad that accompanied the buffalo cheese was fantastic and tasty. For a main I got the Himalayan aged rib eye which was beautiful! Would seriously advise anyone to try it! The duck fat roasties and mushrooms literally melted in my mouth. My girlfriend got the hake which I tried and it was succulent and fresh. To finish off our meal we got the Nutella cheesecake which YAGOTTAGET. Probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever tried in my entire chocolate filled life. I was incredibly stuffed from my steak but managed to almost lick the crumbs from the plate. Be warned though they’re massive so one to share would be perfect! Lastly the service and ambiance was superb. Our waitress was so attentive even though they were flat out and while the wine we ordered was sold out we were stuck between two others so she ran off and got two full wine glasses for us to try others. So, so helpful! We were asked several times if we were happy and ‘how was the food’ but there was an exceptional medium where they weren’t in our face about it that I loved! Lastly the fact that the view from the washroom you can see the entire kitchen really appealed to me because it shows the kitchen is spotless and well run. 5 out of 5 for everything!

Yesssss! I was here for a work Christmas party and it was a great choice! Positives: — Perfect location on George’s Street. — Really tasteful décor. — Good value Christmas menu which was under € 50 for three delicious courses. — Really good cocktails. Negatives: — That I’m not eating there right now! The pork belly and frangelico pot were amazing but I’d like to go back and see what their full menu is like. The service was a little slow the night we were there but given the fact that it was the week before Christmas I can forgive them for that.

I’ve been here now for numerous brunches and even a dinner. I really like the food — the flavours at brunch are always amazing & I think it’s safe to say I can lay to rest the search for Dublin’s best margarita. Delish! I’ve had both sweet & savoury brunches & can highly recommend on both counts. & my other half swears this place has the best steak he’s ever had for dinner. Not sure what’s holding be back from 4 stars! Just don’t feel passionately about it I suppose.

Despite the hype, San Lorenzo was only«ok» for me during Sundays brunch visit. The place was packed but luckily we had a booking. After waiting in the q out the door and down the street we were seated. The tables are ridiculously close together and the ambiance loud. I found their soundtrack choices to be rather odd as well. My wife had the brunch tacos and I had the avocado toast. We both ordered a bloody Mary as well. Everything we had left us disappointed and feeling ripped off. The tacos were nothing better than you could get at any local taco joint. The chicken was bone dry and the dish lacked spice. My avocado toasted came with two poached eggs that were more hard boiled than poached. Our bloody Mary’s had no seasoning or depth to them. Just tasting of hot sauce, booze and boxed tomato juice. Disappointing. I found it odd that for a place that bills itself as Italian that most of the brunch menu is Mexican inspired. Perhaps San Lorenzo’s should stick to Italian food.

Brunch of Champions! Yes, yes it is! Love this place, it’s kitted out really well and feels like a cool place to eat/drink and be merry with your friends. Their menus are incredible and their notoriety for their brunch is well deserved, I mean… This brunch menu is bold and with some interesting, eye catching options it’s hard to decide. Like one day, I came here wanting eggs benedict and then seen coco pops french toast, how could I not order that! This place is extremely popular so if you want to guarantee a sitting for dinner or brunch, make sure you get a reservation in. A walk in is a real gamble!

So I went here for the third time tonight and I must say my experience was much better than my previous two trips. The food was reasonably priced and very yummy. i had the goats cheese brushcetta for starters and the tuna steak for main and I loved both and I would now recommend it to folk. It was lovely.

I’d heard a fair bit about San Lorenzo’s, mostly about the brunch admittedly, but when I got the chance to try here for a work lunch, I jumped on it! On this occasion, I had absolutely no complaints to make about the experience! It was definitely a place I would recommend to a friend for lunch. A plate of calamari was more than enough to share between two, and was very tasty. The flavours used are really great, and particularly good were the slightly char-grilled squid legs that come in full formation. Normally I’m put off by food that looks like the creature it once was but for this meal, that was not enough to put me off the taste. It was perfect with a glass of very cold sauvignon blanc.(My lunch date’s wine was less cold, which was probably the only negative we encountered.) For mains I was torn between steak and the pasta, but thankfully went for the latter as I was also saving space for dessert. It was so delicious, probably one of the better pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The pork sausage was so soft and almost melted away, which was delicious in my opinion. The pasta was very obviously freshly made in the kitchen, and the sauce was perfect with it. I had to leave some behind for fear of bursting, but I’m still thinking about it. For dessert I had intended on getting the infamous, wonderous, glorious Nutella cheesecake, but had to say no this time, there simply wasn’t the space. Thankfully I managed to get a taste of it anyway, and it was definitely all I had hyped it up to be. I went for the ice-cream selection myself, which was vanilla(rich, creamy and flavoursome), chocolate(the PERFECT chocolate ice-cream) and salted caramel(I hate salted caramel, and this was still amazing). Delirah with myself so I was. Service was very friendly, and the place was very quiet at the time. It’s lots of two-person tables so I’d imagine it gets quite noisy in the night, and there are some pumping tunes, but it was perfect for the lunch. I’ll be back for that brunch!

This place shocked me! I found San Lorenzo’s via Unilocal,so thank you Unilocalers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top– this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo’s

I’m gonna keep this short because tears are coming to my eyes thinking about the fact that I’m not eating here right now. I need a moment to compose myself before diving into how great this place was… We came here on a Sunday, suitably extremely hungover and the place was busy as hell. I had booked a table for the 3pm slot(after noting that the 1pm &2pm slots were already filled) a week in advance; a very popular location. Sitting down I knew what I was ordering before looking at the menu. cocopopsfrenchtoast! Ahem. Let me say that again: Coco-Pops French Toast. I’d heard about, I’d seen the pictures, I’d struggled to grasp what this could possibly be but here I was, finally ordering it. You know when you’ve built something up in your head and then that thing happens and you’re like ‘meh.that was only ok’ and you knew secretly deep down you had built it up too much for it to be any good? That didn’t happen here. This dish met every single expectation and then exceeded them, casually. I was left in a state of knowing recognition that what I was experiencing was as close to perfection as any sweet dish would get. The other dishes that people are eating will catch your gaze and you will vow to return as soon as possible. Also the bathrooms were awesome caus you get to watch the kitchen from them. Visit them, even if you don’t actually have to go to the bathroom In short: come here. The décor is great, atmosphere is amazing but the food elevates everything, even a very hungover Sunday, to a fantastic plane.

Me encantó.
