Great décor and the most unusual bathrooms I’ve ever seen(not a sentence I thought I’d ever write about a restaurant). The atmosphere was good. Service was quick but not overly friendly. There is a lot of choice on the menu. The tapas are tasty but I’ve had better, the calamari was slightly chewy. Overall it’s a decent choice for tapas and a good date spot(it’s quite dark with lots of candlelight).

An amazing pub. Ask for Ken, a true beer scholar. Great food, great beer. Great prices, great food, a true diamond in the rough. Don’t miss it!

I’ve never been to a tapas restaurant before, but the girls and I came here for a night out to catch up with each other and it was a blast. I ordered one mushroom tapa which came as a large portobello mushroom with some garlic seasoning on top. I kind of expected more, especially since I was paying around € 4 for a plate, but it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Luckily I wasn’t took hungry and was only there for the company. The service to order was slow as well. I’m not sure if it’s because we were seated near the window and the space is a bit cramped, but it took a while to get the orders in as well as receiving our bill for the night. The manager was very friendly towards the end of our meal and had no reservations on splitting our bill, which I thought was nice. But for a restaurant’s only highlight being the friendly manager, that’s not a good sign. Not to mention, the restrooms are absolutely dreadful. The restrooms wreak of urine and are kind of trippy in the low-lit secluded area downstairs. When I went, I was the only one and I have to admit I was kind of lost because it took me a good few seconds to realize where the women’s toilets ended and where the men’s began; turns out they just share a row of sink basins. It must be the lighting and mirrored stalls! I honestly don’t see myself coming back here because«Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

I read few days ago that to get a Michelin Star the only thing that have to impress in your local is the food, the presentation, the service, the decoration are not important for the assessment. The day I was there only a waitress was available, slow service, reheated food and not especially tasty. They served pork cheeks(reheated, too weak a bit bitter), paella(cool, only rice with some vegetables) and pisto with cheese(peppers with onion and tomatoes) that I couldn’t eat at all. I only liked the prawns, the only thing fresh done. The venue is nice, but as I started this review, a restaurant is about food, not about decoration. With this purpose we have art galleries.

The place is really cool, the atmosphere and the decoration are incredible but maybe the service wasn’t the best because there were only one waitress for the whole place, the food was ok, the paella was not even a real Spanish paella and we did not like it at all. The gambas rebozadas was the best we tasted, very good dont doubt to taste it!

Food is good, specially Carrillera, although the paella feels prefabricated. They should have more floor staff, but it’s a good place for a few tapas

Might be my favourite place! Great selection, and dishes are explained below their titles for fussy eaters/those new to tapas. I like that each dish is priced individually too. It’s between around € 4 and € 7 euro per dish, on average. My meals usually come in around € 15. I tend to opt for the vegetarian dishes, even though I love meat. One, they’re cheaper, two they’re delicious, and you don’t really get this type of flavoursome veg dish everywhere. I recommend ordering some bread if you go for stewed vegetables/any of the veggie options. They tend to be very oily and rich, so it’s good to have something to mop the bowl with. Favourites: Portobello mushroom covered with a diced vegetable stew, topped with Mahón cheese. — Warming, mega rich and oily. It’s a smaller dish, but it’s full of strong flavours. Aubergine tempura with a hummus dip — light, cool with a creamy texture. You get loads too! Crema Catalana is the only dessert I’ve tried, but YES to it. Could finish a vat. Tip — it’s DARK. The place is mostly lit by candles. Also, I don’t think it’s wheelchair accessible? There are three or four steps on the inside. Ring ahead though, I might have missed a sly ramp.

Autant dire j’aurais voulu mettre 3,5.

Updating my review as I feel that, while this is still a good place for tapas, some recent changes to menu and service don’t justify a very high review. The menus changed a bit, in my opinion not for the best. There’s fewer options of good wine by the glass and items such as Boquerones are all but gone. Other slight changes have occurred on the remaining dishes, like less bread being served with the cheese and smoked meats platters, which is simply unfair since that is the way to eat and appreciate those. Also, there’s something different with the churros dough, definitely not as good as I’ve had here before. Service became more sparse and a bit chaotic too, even if the waiters are themselves pleasant and helpful when they finally get to you. Still a nice enough spot to enjoy good company and share tasty food, very conveniently located in Temple Bar.

I like tapas style restaurant. When I walked by here and so the word«Pintxo», it brought me back really good memory of nice food I had before. Pintxo is tapas food from Basque region(northern Spain). I generally like French food as well as Portuguese food. Nice mix of seafood and meat served with bread always go well with nice glass of wine from the region. This place was no exception. I don’t think I ever had bad pintxo before anywhere. My favorite plate here was Foie Gras. It could be overwhelming but the amount of foie gras served was just right, it went well with a glass of wine I had. If you are hungry or just want to have a small bite, this is a perfect place. So close to the Temple Bar, just swing by for a quick bite to eat and enjoy their food and drink. That’s what is Pintxo is all about. A group of friends going from one tavern to another drinking glass of wine and eating pinchos.

We used to dine here regularly up until a year or so ago. Feeling nostalgic, we decided to go back and have some of the usual red and a cheese board. Our ‘usual red’ wasn’t available any longer cause the restaurant had changed suppliers since. A bit lost, we were offered two similar ones to taste before we ordered. We also ordered a cheeseboard which took a while to prepare although only 4 other tables were taken. When it finally arrived, it was half the size as it used to be(for the same prize mind you), no quince jelly, no soft cheeses, only a few crackers. So not worth the money! As we were still hungry, we decided to order churros as well. My friend asked for extra cream with them which we didn’t get but they did manage to overcook the churros. A total let down unfortunately and we won’t be back.

One of the few restaurants worth going to in Temple Bar — food is reasonably priced and very tasty, quite a selection of tapas but not too daunting! Wine is around € 25 by the bottle, the Verdelho being an excellent option if you are choosing the spicy dishes. Getting seated here is quite a bit easier than its counterpart in South William St as they have quite a bit more space here. Personally I like the seats in the courtyard which has a great ambience with people chatting and some music seeping in from the main room. Our go-to place for tapas in Dublin!

There’s a lovely groove going on in here. Really nice and cosy. The good is great. The prawns in particular we’re cooked to perfection, definitely worth a try. I’ve had better patatas bravas before. The service was very good without being too pushy. They have a huge selection if wines too. And their beers are from an old Dublin favourite, the porter house. Something good in Temple Bar? Holy shit! Yay! Jamon iberico is always delicious. Personally, I like it sliced a little thinner than how it is served here, but, maybe that’s just me. The cheese plate was nice, but ordering individual cheeses alone is not a great plan. Cheese plate comes with bread, fruit, honey, quince… the individual cheeses don’t come with anything. Acetunas… not fat enough. I like my olives PLUMP! Pa aamb pernill was very good. Great for a pre dinner snack. I would love to stop by again and make it a meal. Also had a great bottle of wine! Good selection.

Don’t forget to use your Unilocal10% off deal. Wah! I forgot! No reservations. First come first served. The service was nice and accommodating. We were offered to go somewhere else to drink and they took our phone number to call us later to let us know when our tables were ready. There are seating areas upstairs and downstairs. When we got there we were quickly seated. The servers were very prompt and friendly. The food was delicious and definitely small bites. It’s recommended to get to 2or3 dishes when ordering initially as you can always order more as you go. I had lovely tender, calamari with a lovely fresh aioli, beautifully fried white bait fish, and spicy peri peri fried chicken wings. I requested extra aioli mayonnaise for my chicken wings to help cut the heat. Lots of nice wines. Request bread on the side to sop up the lovely sauces that’s in most of your tapas. The bathroom is quite unique. But a little too much material of leathers and cloth around a pvt throne area. Blech! There were 7 of us. Most dishes are priced reasonably between 5 — 10 €. Our final bill after Was around € 225 with tip.

Coming here for pintxos and a wide-hipped glass of red wine makes me so happy. What a treat. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafts invitingly over as you make moon-eyes at your date. Everything here is delicious but my favourite has to be the chickpeas with black pudding, spinach, raisins and pine nuts. Order a few pintxos each and share. However if you’re a bit of a Joey Tribbiania with your food, avoid. And check out the unisex bathroom. It’s like a dark S&M goth cave with toilet thrones, red leather curtains and cowboy swing doors. Well worth a visit.

Great place for tasty and authentic Spanish tapas. Food & wine there have never failed us, and Alexia & co there always take great care of us. The chorizo al vino, the fresh salads, the pir-piri prawn skewers and pimientos de padron are particularly good. Recently renovated a little, there is a very comfortable smoking area out at the back. Thumbs up! :)

Great Tapas! We had a late huge lunch so we were walking around Dublin looking for something small to eat. It was 10pm so the only places were in the Temple Bar area. We had eaten at another location of The Port House earlier in the week so when we passed this location we knew it would be the perfect choice. The candlelit atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We were careful to make different selections than we ate the first time as it was the same menu as their other location. We had Paella de Pollo and Tortilla Espanola. The Tortilla Espanola was a potato and onion omelet. The Paella de Pollo was a traditional Spanish dish with rice and chicken. Every thing was delicious. I’m now addicted to Spanish Tapas!

Love this place. Its decorated great, ive only ever eatin downstairs in it so im assuming the upstairs looks as well ha. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is intimate with a dim lit quiet surrounding. The toilets are a talking point as they are built like leather chair kind of like thrones, i actually took a picture to show to friends, sad i know! The menu has alot of choice and everything i ordered was delicious. the portions of tapas were bigger than id though and between 2 we ordered 6 dishes which was way to much. 2 per person its loads, the wine was nice as well we didnt get a dessert as we were stuffed after the dinner. I will be going back and would recommend it to friends

Recieved 10% Discount for Checking in with Unilocal so that was a nice surprise. Very Chic décor and quite a lovely outdoor dining area that is heated and covered. From the Tapas Menu we had a variety of the fare as four of us were dining. all the dishes were very enjoyable, the wine we selected(Spanish of course!) a Tempranillo was absolutely top-notch so much so more than one was imbibed. will leave it at that… Service was excellent. Despite being located in Temple Bar does not have that«touristy feel»
