A nice hidden find on a side lane in temple bar. Actually went here before a couple of years ago, so when I was out with a group and in need of a decent and non-packed place for dinner at short notice in the area, this place sprang to mind. This place has been around for a while as far as I know, but as it’s slightly hidden just off of the main temple bar strip and it’s not so clearly signed it’s easy to miss. Which means, luckily for us(and you!) There always seems to be a table available. What I can say is its emptiness is not a sign of food quality. This is a cute authentic looking Spanish restaurant. Their selection of sangrias is particularly impressive and delicious. We were a party of four and everybody was happy with what they ordered. Portion sizes were pretty big, too. The only downside I would say is that they did take quite a while to prepare the food, however, while we waited we were constantly being served with olives, bread sticks and so on and had a fair amount to nibble on, on the house, while we waited for our orders so it’s not like we went hungry! I’d recommend this place if you are in temple bar and want to dine somewhere nice and surprisingly not touristy given the area it’s in.

I went yesterday with my gf. Poor quality of food and culinary skills. Cod was with too much garlic and tasteless. fried prawns tasteless. aubergine cooked in red wine tasted too much of wine. calamari tiny and too breaded. everything clearly frozen. to avoid if you want to eat real Spanish food.

This place was awesome! The only reason 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think they might be able to update the place a tad. We stumbled in here after a night in the Temple Bar District and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Everything was great: the chorizo, the empanadas, the croquettes, and the pork belly was some of the best I’ve ever had … and not to toot my own horn or anything, but I’ve worked for some of the best in the business … Jean-Georges, Thomas Keller, Daniel Bolud … Just saying that I know food and this is fabulous. I just thought I needed to up this place because it was WELLWORTHIT. Please, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding! We had just arrived in Dublin and passed pub after pub looking for the best Irish fare. All of a sudden the most AMAZING smell came out from a little side street and we couldn’t resist. The smell didn’t lead us astray. This tapas restaurant took me back to Spain. I can’t say enough about how delicious this food was. We ordered the Sharing platter € 25 and every single thing on it was SOGOOD! It is plenty of food for two. Maybe even three when you include the bread and fantastic garlic/sun dried tomato(?) spread. I highly recommend this place. You can also get a pitcher of Sangria for about € 17. Go! Eat. Enjoy!

I go to La Paloma maybe every 3 or 4 months with my boyfriend. it’s lovely. slightly hidden down a side lane way off templebar square. They specialise in Spanish cuisine, and it is of a very high standard. We’ve always considered it somewhat of a hidden gem as few people seem to know it’s there or how good it is. the prices are reasonable, it’s quite large and secluded so there is rarely queues. the interior is Spanish themed in reds ands yellows. and they have regular staff that have been there for yonks and are very friendly. They have a broad tapas menu and there Fish dishes are very fresh and tasty. Oh! they also have a full bar(which is handy for a couple of after meal drinks on a night out) and jugs of sangria
