This is Lithuanian shop, but it sells food mostly from three-four countries — Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Russia. This is one of the oldest(if not first) Lithuanian shops in Ireland. That’s why this shop is so small. Despite it’s small size, they manage to pack a lot of and various groceries. Biggest assortments are of smoked meat and sausages, canned/tinned/preserved food, fish products(mostly canned of smoked), lots of sweets and candies. Alcohol is sold weirdly. Wine and Sparkling wine can be purchased normally, but beer — minimum two boxes! This is because of alcohol licensing charges blah blah… You can get authentic Lithuanian frozen food as well. Some books and magazines. Spices and teas… The whole lot :-) However, be warned, that you need to check the expiry dates, especially for meat and dairy products.

Being an Eastern European myself, sometimes I become really nostalgic about food I had at home. I think of things I cannot buy in a regular supermarket in Dublin, like Georgian/Crimean wine, Russian/Baltic dairy products and bread, buckwheat(it’s a bit easier, but nevertheless not too easy) etc. Whenever I think of it, I head to Lituanica where they will most probably have what I want, for the most reasonable prices. It’s so great to have that tiny bit of home here in Dublin.

I like Lituanica shop; it specializes in wholesale of Lithuanian and other Eastern European food products. They sell meat, bread, dairy products, confectionary, herbal teas, Lithuanian and Russian press, soft drinks and beer. I like Lituanica shop because of their low prices, good quality and broad variety of the available products. The food tastes good, and has a finest taste. Its nice to have a a food store where they sell Eastern European food.
