This is probably my favorite spas in Dublin. I have had a full body massage at Mandala, and it was a great experience as soon as you walk into the door. The light was perfect for relaxing, the music was good, their staff is really friendly. The massage itself was really good. After the massage, you get to go to the relaxation room where they serve you prosecco. The receptionist was also really nice. This was a group outing so I had taken a lot of time to coordinate with her on when we can come in. She gave me the room scent they sell because she thought I always responded to her as a thank you, which was really sweet.

I have been to many spa’s around the world and love the thought of a day at the spa :-)) This place is nice but getting to it can be a bit complicated. The therapist I had was ok. She was a bit spacey and inconsistent and to top that off she was noisy. The rooms have thin walls and the spa is actually quite small for the number of people in it. The bathrobes were not long enough. I did enjoy my massage and the rest of the treatment. Loved the third eye treatment and all in all quite relaxing. May come back here again and try a different therapist.

I can only comment on the brow threading, so take that into account if you are considering Mandala for other spa services. I just noticed they call themselves a «health» spa. Not sure what constitutes that, but to each her own. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The setting is in the back of the hotel and a bit of a trek to get to. This is slightly annoyinig if you’re running late for your appointment, but great for giving you that feeling of stepping out of the city into a tranquil oasis. You’ll travel through a locked door towards the hotel guest rooms, up the stairs, down a long corridor, around a corner and through another locked door into the spa area. With this fort-esque security, you should feel very safe during your treatment. The staff are friendly, but I wasn’t happy with my treatment. I’m used to no-nonsese, brow-experts who want a little guidance from you and then they go on their hair-ripping mission. I’m picky about my brows, but the job should be fairly simple considering I keep my arches in tact and they never need more than a clean up. Well, I wasn’t thrilled about my first visit to Mandala. I left with one brow that was slightly shorter than the other and brows that hadn’t been trimmed. I thought to myself, «do I actually have to request that the longer hairs be trimmed a bit? That seems common sense.» Second trip was even worse. No permanent damage done, but my brows weren’t clean at all. There were stray hairs all over the place. One blaring, sturdy hair right in the center of my brows, screaming to the world, «how did you miss me?!» Needless to say, I ran straight home to consult with my tweezers. I almost couldn’t tell that they had been threaded. The spa is always very quiet during the day, which makes the experience more pleasant but also makes you wonder if there is a reason no one else is there. This is reflected in their recent price drops. I would go back to try some of the other services if they run a special or something, but I won’t be back for threading.

I like to imagine what would it would be like to be waited on, like a a princess… and Mandala is one of those places that helps me fully visualise it! They have amazing massages, available and the staff are really attentive and sweet.

Mandala Spa is something very special in the heart of Dublin. This spa offers many Eastern therapies and is an oasis of calm as soon as you step through the door. I chose to experience the Indian Head Massage and it was 45 minutes of bliss. My significant other had a 4 handed all over body massage and felt thoroughly relaxed afterwards — he even had one of his Thai therapists walking on him! They do a thorough job here :) The experience is added to by the large waiting room you are taken to with huge couches and cushions. You can laze around on these while you wait to be taken through for your treatment. Once your treatment is complete you are taken back to this area and you are offered herbal tea or water. This is an exclusive spa located in a top boutique hotel so it doesn’t come cheap but I left feeling that I had gained immeasurable benefit for every Euro I spent there and the service, treatment and beautiful atmosphere make Mandala Spa a place I will definitely visit again. Regularly.
