Had Nigiri Set, very nice. Also tried Gyoza, tasty. It’s a pity they don’t have the option for steamed Gyoza in this branch. Also, not having the eat-in option for Bento box is strange. It’s on the expensive side but the quality is good.

Wow! Toller Sushi Laden!

First time in here sitting in, usually had take away from michie sushi. It’s quite expensive for lunch, but there isn’t any other option for sushi in d18. Have a look at my pic, I paid 16 € something which is quite steep but I have to say it was worth it, I love sushi!!! The tuna Temaki was fantastic, spicy and really delish. The Alaska roll really good too, but ehh to michie sushi always put so much rice on the special roles, they get way to big and you need to eat them in 2 bites. I prefer more fish less rice. Overall good spot.

I would love to try the food here today but I felt intimidated by one of their female staff, I came in looking for a table for lunch with my 3 year old who happen to be holding a small box pizza which he ask for lunch and being pregnant the thought of savoury Asian food would be nice but as soon as they saw my little pizza box I was told in her sharp voice about their restaurant policy of no other food can be consumed in their restaurant which I agree it’s a policy but it can be said nicer and doesn’t sound offending. I’ve learned my lesson but I have decided not to go on this restaurant again because if I was told nicer I could have opted for a takeaway considering its a quiet day not even busy.

Quick, friendly, tasty, good price. 4 points, 4 stars. For lunch time during working hours it is the place to go. The staff is fast and friendly and they pay attention. Quantity /quality /price is really fair. The location is modern and very clean. Well done.

Delighted to have a sushi place so close to work. AND they deliver. I’ve eaten in and had takeaway and it’s been excellent every time. They do lunch specials for eat in that differ a little from the usual menu(when I had it it was seared salmon sashimi on a bed of seaweed). I find the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of the food. Expensive enough for lunch that I wouldn’t get it every day but reasonable as a treat every once in a while. The salmon combo is my top pick.

I popped in here to grab a bite to eat one cold evening. I had a chicken noodle dish, which was delicious. I also had some lovely sushi(as I just couldn’t resist). I must say that the staff there were lovely. The complementary green tea was great on such a cold day and the prices are relatively reasonable. I had the brownie for dessert, which was the best brownie I think I have ever had. It was really something special. If nothing else — you have to go to try the brownie! I will be looking forward to going back to sample some more of their dishes!(and maybe getting another brownie! ;))

When people in work chat about the new sushi place around the corner you know it’s time to go check it out … and wonder how the hell they knew about it before you?!? We’ve been a regular at the Michie branch in Ranelagh and they have a solid menu which they now also offer here. I can recommend the Temaki combo, which gives you a sampling of different Temakis. They don’t serve any alcohol yet, but the green tea is nice too. Staff is friendly as always and they also do deliveries. If town’s sushi places are that bit too far for you to make an effort, this new place in the beacon gives all South Dubliners a new option.

Mid week and we are feeling decidedly uisceblah… it is that feeling of ‘the weekend is very far away and I haven’t quite recovered from last weekend and also there are people expecting me to do work stuff, in work, not at home in bed with the TV on and maybe some tea and hot buttered scones’. In an effort to shake off uisceblah two of us went to Beacon South Quarter, with vague thoughts of pizza or something from Munchies. And then, just as my limbs started to seize with the sheer pointlessness of midweek… there, in the spot where my fav coffee shop used to be. a NEW Sushi restaurant!!! We were quickly seated, green tea put before us and food ordered. The staff were friendly and fast and before I knew it I was knocking back the Tuna and salmon combo — 16 pieces of sushi for about 13Euro; very very fresh and tasty and filling. We left happy, sated and ready for the 2nd half of the week. We now have Sushi Wednesday to look forward to… yes, it is to become ‘A Thing’
