It was a quiet enough Saturday, but the changing rooms were still a bit busy. Enough that the girl manning the changing rooms was run off her feet. However at one stage, when I need some help I spotted her going into the staff area. There was no one else there to take over. Understaffed. Customer service aside here, the changing rooms are spacious. And do like the clothes. A bit pricey is Monsoon, but the quality is higher. Their sales are always worth a look, bargains can be got.

I agree with the two reviews that have already been written I love monsoon, its a great place to pick up a dress for some occasion and i think I always end up getting a winter coat here. There is only one reason I am reviewing this particular branch of monsoon though and that is the changing rooms. SO pretty, gorgeous wallpaper and big roomy cubicles with heavy curtains and floor to ceiling mirrors. The girls in the dressing rooms are so nice too! But, whats that big white thing in the corner, well, its a ginormous fan! And why? well in the summer this changing room is THE hottest and most sauna like changing room I have ever been in and I am in no means exaggerating! its totally uncomfortable and you move quickly to try your clothes on fast but this just makes you hotter but if you do it slowly you feel like your running out of air, there is just no way to escape the heat. My advice, go to a different monsoon to try stuff on, this branch is only good for browsing or buying things without trying them on! Oh I nearly clicked«post» there before I added one more thing, and this is in the hope that monsoon will read this and do something. The difference in price between euro and sterling in monsoon shops is just daylight robbery! soo boo to you Monsoon on this fact alone!

Monsoon sells original and attention-grabbing clothes, laden with designs influenced by North Africa, Nepal and India. Deep purples are adorned with golden sequins and shiny flecks, dark teals with oriental prints and subterranean fuchsias with intricate beaded embroidery. The clothes are both innovative and sophisticated… a rare combination that results in beautiful, almost picturesque garments. Much to my delight Monsoon Dundrum stocks a sizeable selection of their ‘Fusion’ range, that which blends trend-driven design with Monsoon’s signature style. I have bought some cardigans from this range before, the style of which have been described by friends as ‘Laura Ashley on acid.’ Spread across two floors this branch offers most of the Monsoon clothes as seen on the web-site where other branch’s stockpile would normally be much more limited. This branch also stocks a sizable selection of fashionable men’s clothes. The magnitude of stock is greater in this store than in the Grafton Street branch so if you want the comprehensive Monsoon experience venture south of the city to this impressive outlet.

The Monsoon branch on Grafton Street can be difficult to root through, with the clothes packed so tightly together that you need serious muscles to pull them apart, particularly with sale items. This particular store, however, is laid out well, with plenty of space between each item and the collection at the moment includes some key pieces that don’t look«typically Monsoon» i.e. voluminous skirts and 1950s bustier dresses. There’s a nice jewellery and sleepwear section as well.
