Mortons is the local go to place for lunch from work. They sell everything from breakfast sandwiches and pastries in the morning, To large sandwiches with good quality ingredients at lunchtime. They also sell smoothies and Juices made fresh on the premises. There is also a diep noodle bar serving once choice of noodles and curry each day. The wed and fri currys are the best. The beef noodles on Wed are also quite nice. They have also recently opened a sushi counter in the shop too. If there’s a birthday in the office, they also sell really nice cakes as a present.

Morton’s kinda has everything you need for lunch /during work. Well, not kinda, it does. A newly opened juice bar, a hot counter, sandwich bar, a salad bar, a regular shop type buzz, it’s got it all! It’s also all well laid out and nicely presented. The queues are well thought-out, and the staff are all professional and on it(though not particularly smiley) Here’s the thing though. It’s very bleedin expensive. Like really, very expensive. I got a salad earlier made up mainly of chickpeas and other veg that cost a whopping 9.40!!! That is absolutely insane.(Insane of me for paying perhaps) I think I’ll be keeping my visits there for special occasions from now on!

Go here for lunch during the week. Great location next to iveagh gardens to sit out and enjoy if the weather is nice. If not there are tables in the shop to have your food. There is a really good DIEP noodle/rice bar, deli and salad bar where you fill your own box and it is weighed. Otherwise you can queue for a wrap, sandwich etc and have it toasted should you wish. There is also a great juice bar which do wheat grass shots if you are feeling healthy. What I really like about the shop is the wide variety of products on offer and a lot tend to be Irish speciality. They do their own range of cakes and treats which are to die for! They have a coffee bar with amazing hot chocolate and tea costs 2euro nomatter what size you get. A great selection of unusual wines what more could you ask for? Super friendly staff make this shop a hidden gem.

This place has all the conveniences of like a spar such as supplies of basic food and toiletries however, what they do BEST is the deli counter, the in-house Diep Noodle Bar and a Salad bar that provides all the yumminess you want from a healthy lunch grab! Their Deli counter has endless options, of course they have a nice board with ‘house’ options but hey, you can really mix and match and do your own thing! Lunchtime rush can make it all seem very chaotic though, bare with it… The queues fly in and the tills are super efficient too! It can definitely be a little overwhelming when ye arrive here for the very first time at lunch hour but ye soon get the hang of it ;-) Downside, coffee is a little to be desired… So find myself nipping somewhere else for the highly important coffee intake!

The sandwiches are very good. Always filling. The shop itself is very expensive for the basics though but good own brand fruits, cakes and soups etc. They have a 10% loyalty card which is good for regulars. Staff are nice and efficient which helps considering the crowds for lunch.

I had never been here but for a free lunch I would go just about anywhere. I was excited as Unilocal had told me great things and in such a beautiful building how could it be anything but. I would describe this place as donnybrook fair but less pretentious. I ordered the club sandwich toasted, which was beyond delicious except for the fact that I asked for no red onions and found myself scraping an abundance of them off my bread. Even so, they were busy, there was a queue, so they are forgiven. Thanks to Unilocal I also got a free coke which was gladly welcomed. The whole place had a nice feel and was extremely efficient with lines moving at an outrageous speed to accommodate the business folk that call this place a local. Next to the Iveagh Gardens, it’s a great spot to grab something and enjoy the rare times we get sun, allowing you to makethe most of your lunch break. The reason it lost a star was due to the onion situation and also their crap coffee. Quite bitter, almost burnt. Unfortunately I was too excited and too hungry to take pictures, but I am sure there will be more opportunities.

I like Mortons a lot actually, I can’t really give more than 3 stars as it is just a glorified convenience shop with a few specialist items in it. They don’t give cash back on Laser cards unless you spend more than a certain amount of money and they don’t do lotto which is a little frustrating but as far as lunches go I love this place. Don’t let the long lines put you off at lunch time, as it did me so many times. Once you’re in the line it moves so quickly you wouldn’t even notice the wait really, which gives you plenty of time to puruse their extensive sandwich option menu or decide on your filling of choice. I always go for the same thing, creature of habit I suppose, the Auld Dubliner sandwich, in my opinion everythng tastes better with relish! They also have a hot food option which is actually a Diep counter so obviously for any Diep fans that’s delish too. & they have a salad bar which seems to have plenty of options(for me if I’ve gone as far as Mortons there’s no way I’m getting a salad over one of their sambos). Also note that they close quite early(6 or 7pm) so not an option for people working late in the area looking for a snack.

Price wise this place certainly has an awful lot to live up to, if you’re going to charge me 5.20 for a pre-packed sambo it had better be assembled by exquisite Angels and wrapped in gold(or be sold in an airport), but it’s hard to argue with the quality of the produce. I work next door to this place so I’m in a lot but a word of advice; if you can, get a freshly made sandwich at the counter, they cost the same but they use. much nicer bread and they tend to have specials!

I end up at Morton’s every few weeks as it is located near my husband’s office and we try to change up our lunch locations when we can. For the smoothie and juice bar I give Morton’s 4 stars. I have enjoyed each and every smoothie and juice I have tried and find the prices quite reasonable. The sandwiches are good but nothing to write home about — thus the 3 stars. I have had some that were more memorable than others(I think I liked The Med) but others were the type you could make at home and save a little money. Overall I enjoy Morton’s though and think they have good lunch options.

Since we moved to hatch street, this is where I have been for lunch the most over the last few weeks. The sandwiches are Devine. So many tasty fillings and they are filled to the brim. I keep meaning to read the menu in advance as I panic when I get to the counter to order. The club is fantastic with gorgeous brie and the potato salad wrap with salami follows in close second. I asked today if they do salads from the fillings counter and they said yes so my lunch will be sorted for tomorrow. It’s hard to be healthy when so many yummy combinations are staring you in the face each day. I even chose it over the market today which is there on a Thursday. Plenty of staff on and they really work well together so the queue moves very quickly. I’m sure this novelty will not last but a contractor we have in has been going for yonks so that shows we might be in for the long haul!

Mortons is expensive alright but you certainly get what you pay for. The food is fantastic and the quality is top notch in my opinion. There are long queues for sandwiches at lunch but with the number of people working there, it moves fast, so dont let that put you off! :-)

The food here is definitely classy. I’ve only ever had a do it yourself salad as the queues are way too long for the deli at lunchtime. On the pricey side for lunchtime but definitely worth it, pure melt in the mouth food with excellent flavours. Juices at € 3.25 for a medium and € 3.95 for a large are very pricey but they taste fresh and plentiful, really good for a morning kick-start.

I’ve never been in here for the famous sandwiches, only for the shop half. It does well bridging the gap between foodie and pleasing the masses. Morton’s goes one step above standard selections in the general areas. Denny ham sits next to sliced German pastrami and home-brand meats. Yoplait nestles up cheek to cheek with small-produced organic offerings like Glenilen. Refrigerated soups are organic and/or house-made. Also worth trying are the salads — I love the puy lentil and feta one. Lunch food from the fridges includes sushi, house sandwiches and cakes, and packaged Pieminister pies– glee! The best part, though, is the little cheese baskets. They do something similar to a well-loved foodie store back home, and offer budget-friendly slices of good cheeses for under € 4. These are the real thing, usually either local or AOC: St Tola and Brie de Meaux featured last time I was there. You get a big enough chunk to take home and eat for a good few days, without committing to a huge ‘n spendy piece of a cheese you might not even like. It’s like a love-child of Centra and Fallon & Byrne, but a bit cheaper than both. Go try a cheese you’ve never heard of before. I promise you won’t regret it.

hmmmm this is the type of place that i like to look around, i dont think i can really justify buying anything there. i mean yets the pastries look oh so tasty and yes they squeeze your orange juice in fornt of you and yes you can get a free paper to read as you sip your espresso. its so expensive though! they are just like their daddy shop in ranelagh but smaller. its a lovely building to look at too though. so this is my advice, go in look around, buy one thing and try limit yourself to this and walk out again.

Morton’s is fancy food for people who work in offices that spend too much money on their lunch. Good thing that the food in Morton’s tastes like it was crafted by blind handmaidens locked in a tower composed of pure sunshine. Their meats, cheeses and specifically breads are divine. Gorgeous stuff at borderline criminal prices, but if you can afford it, get yourself a sandwich.

A younger sister of the original Morton’s in Dunville Avenue, while Park Place was being revamped they hid a Morton’s underneath it. This shop is choc-a-bloc at lunch time with the beautiful, trendy people who work nearby. It’s very vogue food with everything from a smoothie bar, salad bar, fancy sandwiches, fresh quiches and deli bits for lunch; it’s also a veritable grocery shop with lots of up-market items that might be on your shopping list. The sandwiches are delicious. I’ve had the Royal(with coronation chicken, very nice) and the Dolly(a lamb sandwich, just got the joke now, he he) and they’ve both been really tasty. Just over the € 5 mark, but very good. The nicest part about a trip in here — the shopping experience. There’s lovely stuff to look around at and there are seats inside so you can stay and eat if you like. They also have the friendliest staff on the till(and one very handsome guy) who always wish you a nice lunch — lovely.
