While in Dublin, we ate breakfast here almost every day. We got tea and scones with giant raisins in them. They were served with a sweet, berry jam. Munchies has a small, bright eating area in their second room and we relaxed and watched the passersby.

Beeing a coeliac is not always easy in particular and defo not if you just feel like a sandwich or something quick for take away food. So Sun was out, lovely early afternoon and we just wanted to have lunch outside –so I thought I remembered someone told me about GF options at Munchies I entered the shop not really convinced this gonna be a lucky shot but hey I succeeded ! They do gluten free Ciabatta bread which they charge 1 euro extra but this is was totally worthy. Another highlight was, that they do more than 16 vegetarian sandwich options which I haven’t seen nowhere else so far defo big plus and worth high star ranking in my opinion. I ordered the Bjorn Again ciabatta which comes with Goat cheese, toasted walnuts, swedish beetroot and iceberg salad– they do have an design our own one too, which I might do next time as I would change the iceberg salad to rocket or spinach as iceberg is not my fave choice but all in all this sandwich was really good and made my outdoor lunch a good one! Only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that the coffee is not as good as it should be, so I would not get coffee there again as I like my coffee strong and in flavor…

I really like the sandwiches at Munchies, the bread is fresh and tasty(not doughy), and thankfully not a cuisine De France baguette in sight :)! This particular munchies is busy at lunch time, but has great seats looking out onto the street if you are on your todd. Great for reading whilst watching the world go by. Why only 3 stars you say? Well a sandwich, a plain coffee and a bag of crisps was just € 10, which is far too expensive. Such a shame, ’cause if it was better value I’d go more often.

Without a doubt the nicest sandwiches in Dublin, my personal favourite is the Bacon or Chicken Whoopie, liberal amount of chilli mayo and Ballymaloe relish with bacon and lettuce, delicious! Just to add a few tips to what people have already said, any coffee is € 2 now 10am-12pm, and 2pm-4pm. They also open at night now, until about 10.30, though I’ve stayed later without being rushed out the door. At night they serve wine & tapas dishes, along with all the regular sandwiches, although some of the breads may be sold out already.

Munchies has one of the best selections of sandwiches I’ve seen in Dublin. Among my favorites are The Santa’s Delight with stuffing, cranberry sauce, bacon and lettuce; the Sizzler with chicken tikka, guacamole, salsa, cheese and coleslaw; and the Bjorn Again with goat cheese, walnuts, beets and lettuce. The Bjorn Again is one of their meat-free sandwiches, of which there are TONS to choose from. This isn’t the kind of place that has 50 meaty goodies and one measly choice for veggies. Yay for choice! The service is quick, as this is the kind of place where you order, get your food, sit and enjoy it and leave. But even still, the service is very good and everyone who works here is smiley and happy. They have free wi-fi for 20 minutes, which is cool because you probably won’t be in here longer than that anyway.

South William Street really is café mile! IT is just littered with cafes and small out door seating areas which are always full and busy with people at all hours of the day! You can tell there is a recession as nobody bloody works, they all just hang out here! Munchies has the prime location of being on the corner of South Great Williams Street and Wicklow Street so you can people watch from all directions. How ever, be warned, that there are tonnes of beggars that walk up and down this strip so if you are sitting outside you will get hassled. Munchies has a really cool vibe and décor and they do an alright coffee and tea, a bit too small for my liking for the price. But the food here is better than most of the cafes on the street so if you are looking for some Munch to go with your drink this would be on of the better choices.

Munchies is a nice little spot for lunch. They do sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfasts and soups. This place got done up a little while ago, and it’s a lovely place to go for a while for a bite to eat and relax. I sometimes go in there and have the smoked salmon scrambled eggs, which is served on a toasted bagel and its really yum. Their smoothies are good too!

Part of a chain of cafés mostly located in the city centre, the Munchies on South William Street remains a popular choice because of its prime location and large seating area. The décor of the place(black and white photos and yellow chairs) makes it cozy and inviting and the menu gives you an abundance of choice. Its emphasis on home cooking draws in lots of hungry customers. I recommend the Munchie Brunchie(a ciabatta with egg, sausage, bacon and relish) for the morning and a Puck Fair Special(a sandwich with goat’s cheese and baby spinach) for lunch. Wash it down with a homemade strawberry smoothie. What I like best about this place is that you don’t feel guilty for stuffing your face. The food is healthy so eat up!

Munchies on the corner of South William is a great place for a mid morning snack and lunch time trade. A personal favourite is a Chicken Whoopie, a joy to behold. Chicken, relish, cheddar, hot chilli, lettuce on a toasted ciabatta. Try a Bacon Whoopie for an alternative. Other favourites are Hugo Special, Ciabatta Scrambled egg, Melted cheddar Jalepeno Relish. Strangled eggs on toast is great for a hang over and rustic toast is good with a morning cuppa. A bit on the pricey side though with some over € 5.40 but great as a treat. Fast service as well. Wi fi is in the café and a great place to people watch on the corner.
