My roommate works here(I swear my review won’t be biased, hah) so a few of us decided to go check it out. I had passed by it many times in it’s central location on Westmoreland Street. We went quite early in the evening, so business was slow. They had a band playing, but it wasn’t traditional music(my new Spanish roommate was quite disappointed). It’s a beautiful bar, and as it filled up over the course of a couple hours we were lucky to have grabbed one of the tables at the end of the room. The smoking area was very nice as well. Will definitely return.

Being in Ireland later in the evening walking back to my hotel I stopped here for an Irish coffee. This may be just another old Irish pub but I like the atmosphere and the interior décor of these old pubs. The Irish coffee was very good. Great cream on the top and just the right amount of sweetening. I didn’t stay long and just had the Irish coffee, but I recommend this pub for its Irish coffee.

This was a neat little but that my girlfriend and shared a couple of drinks. Every pub in Dublin is famous or has a claim to something. Although I do not remember what this ones claim to fame was, we decided to come her based on complete randomness. We enjoy a few drinks while listening to a live band. Our experience was pretty good, we had a nice evening. It wasn’t too busy or too loud. Seemed to just the right mood for a little romantic moment in a bar, if that exists. We went a second time and oddly the place smelled of vomit. I’m not quite sure why, but it just did. We waited for a band to come, but they seemed to run late so we made a late exit. In the end this is nice little pub, we did not try to the food but as I remember now their claim to fame was some sort of sandwich. If you are on a pub crawl definitely drop by this one… but only have a half pint as you’ll hit many other pubs in the area!

O’Sullivans opened up near the end of last year and has rapidly become a very very popular Dublin pub. The staff are friendly and attentive and sport old style bartender store aprons to add to the character of the place. The beer lines are extremely short making a low beer run and a fantastic pint. It’s a small boozer so it doesn’t take many punters in to build a bit of an atmosphere. On some nights, despite its size, it even has live music. Well worth a visit.
