Stopped in the Morgan’s for a drink with the girls. The Rioja albeit pricey was really really nice. Very friendly staff, loved the nuts too. Can’t wait to go back!

The cocktails are out of this world. Not only are they delicious, they’re huge(or maybe that’s just what I ordered.) Either way, it’s worth checking this bar out. There’s always a good buzz, great music and it’s quite comfortable.

We originally came here for a Unilocal Elite event and won a dinner and cocktails for two, so just to say what we had on both occasions was entirely free(though we bought extra cocktails because they were so good) It’s likely we might have never made it here if it weren’t for the Unilocal Elite event, it’s in the ultra busy, ultra touristy Temple Bar area, but now that we’ve been we’d definitely come back for the cocktails. The vibe is very young and it can get completely packed and therefore loud, so it’s not ideal for an intimate dinner date, but if you’re just coming through for cocktails it’s fine. Somewhat pricey but nothing out of the norm for that area, it’s to be expected. Beware when making a reservation! Make sure you call to confirm or you might be surprised when you get there. Otherwise, it was a nice evening and thanks to the Morgan for an awesome prize and Unilocal for organizing the event that made it possible! We did have a few mix ups trying to make a reservation here. We made a reservation and showed up that night to find out it didn’t exist, and more than that, they didn’t have anywhere to seat us because a large group was coming. So. We… left. The hostess was very apologetic but it’s still looks very bad. So a few weeks later we try to make a reservation again, this time a day or two beforehand. We think we are successful but call again the next day to be sure, thankfully we did because our reservation did not exist… again. So, this time they took our number and email and even sent us a confirmation, as well as calling the day of to be sure we were coming. Ok, overkill, but hey, at least we knew we’d have a table when we got there. The staff are very nice, welcoming and helpful, service was also prompt. The nachos we got to start were great, fresh guacamole and lots of toppings. I had pesto pasta which was fine, nothing special, but it was a big portion. I did enjoy the tapas menu we tried at the Event much more, should have stuck with those. I got a chocolate fondant for dessert which was very tasty. The cocktails though, that’s where The Morgan really shines! The bar staff are so nice, and take so much time in preparing the cocktails. During the Unilocal event we got the Mixologist all to ourselves who was incredible, I’m not a cocktail person but these cocktails actually changed my mind completely. You taste the difference in a cocktail when you have a super talented mixologist behind it. Everything we had was incredible. Because I won a prize I got to be one of three people to have the Smoking Dome cocktail, it was so unique, so different, and definitely not all just for show, the flavors are amazing. I don’t even like a strong cocktail(I like the girly fruity ones, the Bene-Blush is amazing!) but this is so different and chocolatey and smokey, we just had to have it again when we came back. You can order two or four at a time and it ends up being the same price as any other cocktail. Lots of prep goes into it and the actual smoking is very cool and the result is delicious!

Have to say. This is one of the best spots for Saturday and Friday night. If you like nice soulful house or house music, this is your place to be. Get sometimes really drowsy, but you will always find space to chat with friends or maybe dance little bit. There is list of various drinks to choice from and most of popular pints as well. Colours and looks make this place unique and nice to come back again.

I feel the need to preface this review withe the statement that I was here at a special event that involved a bartender just for us. The appetizers they gave us were excellent and the bartender did a fantastic job of creating custom drinks for us. If I could have my own personal bartender who could make whatever I wanted every time I went out, I would be in heaven. Having said all that, I imagine if I had gone here any other night of the week, especially a Friday or Saturday I would probably hate the place as some posh hangout for people looking to impress others with short skirts on the girls and douche hair on the guys.

It was my first time at the Morgan bar. I have to say that the place is cool: they have big sofa with coffee tables at the entrance where you can eat and drink. If you prefer eating at the table, you have that option too. The stuff was friendly and made me(and others) welcome, which I liked. There was a reserved area just for us, where they had a table ready with all bottles, glasses and fruits necessary for making any type of cocktails. The evening started with a tour at the penthouse, I loved it. My favorite furniture were the huge mirrors. The apartment is cool even though I won’t have added less because for my taste, simple is better. The toilet was also cool, I liked how it was decorated. Talking about the bedroom, I really like the wardrobe. Then we went to the balcony. They have a very cool roulot on the balcony. I heard that it is a rare item and very expensive too, it worthed a visit for surem. Again, another big mirror: wow. We were back to the bar. They prepared cocktails and let us to participate. I had a chance to order a personalized one: the barman is a talent! I’m not a drinker, I don’t know about cocktails etc. he got what I want. The food was served at the sofa: I like it except for beef rolls, but this is my personal taste. Then they served the dessert, I was lucky to try everything, the tarts were my favorites, the eclairs were OK, it was nice but not excellent. Overall I had good time, I like to be at an hotel drinking cocktails, I felt a bit posh, which is good for one evening. I will definitely come back.

Make sure you dress to impress here… Its very very classy, very expensive cocktails. i don’t know if they are defo worth it but it was fun to try them anyway… Its a nice place to come for one or two I couldn’t see myself spending the night there. not just about the price but crowd that goes can be quite dull… its certainly nice to come here for a change… its comfortable and has very nice décor and surroundings… they provide you with complimentary peanuts though which I liked and they do their own cocktails too. I recommend the prosseco and mango one with elderflower. they present the food and drink really well here too

I would agree with Hazel C on this one. There are major pros and cons with the Morgan Bar. It’s a really nicely fitted out venue — lots of well designed lighting coupled with stark white angles and walls, with some seriously funky furniture thrown in the mix. I’ve been in there on a Saturday night before as well and there’s been some live percussionists playing alongside the DJ which was actually really cool. Now, the downsides. It’s very expensive. And the crowd. They are a particular kind. If you want to fit in, you’ll need some extremely high heels(if you’re a laydee) or a family sized pot of gel(if your a bloke). I would say it would be a nice place to stop for a drink or two before heading on somewhere else. Unless the above is your kind of thing of course, which it is, for many people, as it gets jammers in there!

Went there Saturday night as I book a table for a birthday party. They send me a menu… So I choose as they ask me to do so on the confirmation email that came with attach the menu for platters were I could choose what I want on it. They confirm my selection and price via email Thought it wouldn’t be necessary explain that few of my friend , me include, were vegetarian as I don’t like make a big fuss on it. Pity that nothing I choose was served that evening and the plates were fill up on chicken wings and pork ribs… few on my guest were left with nothing but chips to feed with I ordered 4 platters and one portion of chips. At the table I got 3 platters and 2 chips Normally will not be that bad but it did kind of put me off …€ 100 for 3 platters fill with everything but not what I order. Did try to complain at the waitress but she did not have a clue about the menu the price agreed the quantity etc. I will suggest to not asking people to choose if they will do what they won’t anyway. One of the reasons I choose the place was for the possibility to have a different nibbling than the rest of the clubs. Still the place is very nice and fancy and good for a drink

The Morgan Bar has such a great space for groups or even just a couple friends getting together. It’s pretty massive and each space is so inviting. Better, yet, the Happy Hour is really great! Every nook and cranny is a cool place to sit — especially the somewhat ‘secret’ backyard setting. Nice! Such a welcome diversion from the pubs in Temple Bar. This is a cool spot! Clink!

If you’ve had enough Guiness and need a change of place, a cocktail is always a good idea. Unless you come to the Morgan. One of the servers at The Brazen Head recommended it to me and said it was good and where he takes his dates. Well, from the look of the place, I’m guessing he doesn’t get many second dates. There’s definitely a vibe of One Night Stand Hook Up. Anyways, I had an aviation. It was pretty good, but not wonderful. My finace ordered a drink that had chili infused vodka. This is where things went wrong. 1. Bell peppers are not chili’s. They are gross and should never be in anything that isn’t a cheap side salad. 2. The fact that I KNOW they were bell peppers. Because they were still in the vodka. Yeah. 3. If you’ve never done any infusions yourself, or don’t know how to do them, let me explain, quickly. You get a high proof spirit(usually vodka, but Absolut isn’t high proof enough(1st error)). You put whatever you want to in. Let it seep for hours-days, depending on what it is. And finally, you TAKETHATSHITOUT. Know what happens when you don’t? Mold! Spoilage! People getting sick! That pretty much did it for me. No more Morgan.

The Morgan bar, went here last night looking forward to a good night with just my self and my partner with the hope of having a good night and a few cocktails we choose to go here as we had heard it’s a good spot and central. When we arrived at the door we walked to the hotel part and were asked by a door man who looked down his nose at us and asked«are you staying in this hotel»(like we weren’t good enough to stay there) we said no were just out for a drink and he said other door probably knowing his colleague was going to refuse us entry as well. We walked up and he looked at us and just said«no» we asked is there a reason to which he replied«I don’t need to give you one» would not go back here and even try get in again I don’t understand what give the door staff the right to refuse without a reason it’s very unfair when you have not done anything wrong in the place before and they don’t know you. They are clearly refusing you over the way you look don’t they no the Phrase never judge a book by its cover.

Oh no. It’s that time of the night. You’ve already had too much. Again. «Yeah, sure, we’ll go to The Morgan for a few cocktails before closing» How did your life end up like this? Drinking a cocktail that’s little more than a thinly-veiled analogy to the atom bomb. At fifteen Euro a pop, it costs an obscene amount of money to produce. The shape of the glass reminiscent of a mushroom cloud. Even the name strikes terror into the hearts of heavy drinkers and scientists alike. This is without a doubt the most destructive thing you can do to your body at half two in the morning. Within seconds of the drink hitting, this place turns into one of the most hostile environments on the planet. The heat is unbearable and the loudness is deafening. The bouncers are eyeing you up, looking for any excuse to kick you out. The lights blink and the population drops. There’s a few survivors hanging on, but that’s all. It’s over. You crawl home and spend the next day recovering from symptoms suspiciously similar to radiation poisoning. Manhattans are a terrible drink.

You looking at me? I’m looking at you but are you looking at me. Peacock central here and if you are on the pull you need to dress to impress in this venue, standards for the opposite sex(female) seem to be higher for us guys than for the girls… This comment could be controversial! Does what it says on the tin.

The backyard of the Morgan Bar is my private secret hang-out, so I’m reluctant to write about it in case I never get my favourite seat there again. My favourite seat is actually a bed: there are two of them in the backyard, with wrought-iron bedheads and lovely comfy cushions. It’s the most comfortable, luxurious smoking area in the whole of Dublin, and I don’t even smoke. Beside the beds, the yard is decorated with little wooden birdhouses. During daylight hours you can hear exotic birds screeching in the bushes of the roof garden above. My friend James says they’re not exotic birds, they’re crows, and my friend Megan says they’re not crows, they’re monkeys — so I don’t know who to believe. The bar is pretty jammed at night, but we mostly only go here for tea in the afternoon, when we have the place to ourselves.

My bag was stolen in here :-(it was my favouritest bag ever and some scum of the earth girl had it under her arm and had walked out the door before you could knock back a shot! now while this has tainted the pub for me i dont want it to taint the pub for you. i ahve to give full crrdit to the bar people and the bar manager, they had me up in a room checking cameras with them the minute i told them, they also had the police there lickaty split, they did everything they could to make the situation as good as they could and afterwards they gave me free drinks because they felt sorry for me. they could not have been any better! The cocktails are really nice in here and the setting is really classy! cant say a bad thing about it other than the horrible meany girl who took my beautiful bag!

I’m not a fan of cocktails, Morgan’s pride and joy, but for a very special occasion, I like to go here for wine and tapas. The cheese and serrano ham topped mushrooms face stiff competition from the Spanish meatballs and the calamari as the newest food addiction. And a portion of their Patatas Bravas is a must! But as has been mentioned, this is a pricey place but if you and your friends have a little extra to spare and feel like spoiling yourselves, grab a seat in the lively courtyard, order a sample of different dishes, wash them down with nice Spanish wine and let your mind wander to the warmer South

The Morgan is cool for one major reason… there’s beds in their smoking area! Whoever thought of that is both a genius and a bit of a daredevil… they must absolutely reek by the end of a busy saturday night, yet they look so so cool and I would recommend this place purely on that basis alone! As for the rest, it’s really a matter of taste — if you like the slightly more posh clientele, then check it out, because it isn’t bad. However, if well-groomed sophistication isn’t really your thing, then this place may not be for you. Yes it’s known for it’s cocktails, but you can definitely get them for cheaper elsewhere. Check it out for the courtyard, but only if you have deep pockets!

The Morgan Bar on Fleet Street has just the right amount of sophistication and ease. I often come here late afternoons to meet friends in the courtyard. The courtyard is fashioned in a Parisian style: everything outside is painted white from the wood chairs and tables to the large mirrors that hang from the walls. Another interesting element of décor is the metal framed beds. They are definitely a popular feature of the bar and are often occupied. The Morgan is mainly famous for its cocktails. I recommend their strawberry mojitos and their sour apple martini. At one point, the bar offered a scrumptious Spanish meat and cheese platter but sadly, these two options no longer exist. Nonetheless, the Morgan Bar is worth visiting just so you can escape the madness of Temple Bar.

Raum: Top Design, alles in weiß. Top Beleuchtung. Top Design auch in Bar und Lobby. Tolles Bad.
