Typical Dublin pizza, in other words crap. The people who liked this must have been waaaaay drunker than I was. I find it funny that someone compared this to a Vancouver pizza place since that is the only city I’ve been to with worse pizza than Dublin.

Die Pizza ist Super lecker! sie wird jeden Tag frisch zubereitet und genau so schmeckt sie auch. Der Besitzer ist gebürtiger Italiener der was von seinem Handwerk versteht. Wir Sind begeistert!

We discovered this place after a night out. I got the spicy pizza and it was so spicy and delicious I almost cried. The staff was super friendly, even though they were about to close they let us stay and finish our meal. I would totally go back again.

Ah Vancouver, land of constant rain and very few chippers. No it’s not a review of Vancouver or chippers, what they do have in abundance is pizza slice shops. PIZZASLICE! I have some fond memories so excuse my enthusiasm. So it’s nice to see them popping up in Dublin finally. Papa’s is tiny as it should be and crammed with people. Talbot street has a few of them. I can’t comment on the others but this place is pretty good. € 4 for a hefty slice of pizza and a can. It’s not Vancouver prices, around € 1.50 a slice but it’s still pretty decent and did I mention it was pizza by the slice?

When I was a kid there was a jingle that always played during afternoon TV and I think it just about sums up my feelings on pizza. Pizza in the morning, Pizza in the evenin’, Pizza at suppertime! When pizza’s on a bagel, You can eat pizza anytime! Ok well except maybe for the bagel bit, I seriously could eat pizza anytime of the day. Living in NYC I was spoilt for choice and could grab a slice anytime I wanted. Not so much in Dublin. Papa’s luckily does do slices on the go. The pizza is alright, nothing overwhelmingly fantastic but it’s still warm, a bit greasy, and a crunch to the crust which you can fold over your slice and voila you’re off. Though if you’re like me you’re a bit messy so it’s probably best to sit down and get some napkins so you don’t get pizza grease on yourself! Not the most attractive look!

€ 4 for a huge slice of any pizza and a drink, not too shabby! I got a pepperoni and a coke, good stuff! Filled me right up. Handy little American style pizzeria, get it to go or stand in there and eat. I have an addiction to pizza so I have to be careful, thank God I don’t live in Chicago anymore I gained a stone and that is in no way an embellishment, I’m sure my ass is still imprinted on the pizzeria off Belmont. Lovely pre-game meal or post-game meal to soak up all that booze. Or like me on that day in question I needed some comfort food after traipsing 8 miles all for the love of Unilocal. So this girl needed some grease to replace what was lost.

There are many stores like Papa’s Pizza on Talbot Street. Apparently people in this area are big fans of takeaway and fast food. Papa’s is no fine dining experience, but it’s good for a quick bite if you’re hungry and short on cash. You can score yourself a large pizza slice and can of soft drink for 4 euro. The pizza isn’t the freshest — it’s all pre-made and sits in the window display until you select your preferred flavour — but as far as taste goes it really isn’t that bad. The staff are always very friendly, but it’s a very small shop, so if you decide to eat inside be aware — you will be watched!

Papa’s Pizza on Talbot Street towards the Connolly Station offers tasty pizzas and a running deal of a slice of pizza and a can of drink for E4. Unlike it’s counterpart, Mama’s Pizza, closer to the city, there are no stools to perch upon, only a bench along the back wall. Though patrons barely notice as they focus their attention on the yummy pizzas. A bargain for lunch and a yummy bite!
