Star Pizza

As dodgy as their website may still look no matter what improvements they add, this is still my favourite pizza delivery. The garlic butter base is just the single most genius idea anyone ever had. Great deals. Fast delivery. And the fact you better ring them to order to make sure they get everything right is actually a nice for a change.

So, there is a difference between affordable and cheap. This one is rather cheap: it’s one of those pizza places that put the cheese on top of the other toppings …

I have to say I was not expecting anything from this place and had a pleasant experience.
First of all, it is necessary to understand the bad/​good points that might affect people’s opinions regarding this business because of its location and general clientele. You have to know you are bang in the very middle of the city centre of the capital of the country in a street that many think is dodgy but many others feel simply at home.
I had walked all day from shop to shop and was absolutely starving when I got there. There are a few tables and chairs and there is almost always a line of lads waiting either to order the pizza or to take it away when their number is called showing their food is ready to go.
They do eat in and take away with free delivery in the city centre region. Many people order, pay and wait for their pizza and leave but even like that all tables and chairs were taken so they are always busy.
The place was not spotless, also not dirty and all workers had uniforms and caps on and many were nice enough. It seemed most of the lads waiting were hungry teens in their trackies and had this as their local. The music was a bit too loud, pop all the way and a bit annoying.
But seriously what can better sort you right out when your stomach is growling so much and you can get a super deal of a 9-​inch pizza with 2 toppings of your choice + a soda + fair amount of fries + garlic dip for 5 €? WOW!
My pizza took about 15 minutes and I was delighted with the flavour, better than I was expecting. I left absolutely full and feeling that my fiver was very well used!
I know that some places in Dublin offer similar combos but in here they offer it everyday during the whole day and not only for students.

Does the job if you’re looking for a good takeaway. 5er for pizza, chips, and a can is a great deal. Not the healthiest option, but they do a damn good takeaway pizza

I really like the idea of pizza fries and coke for 5 euro, and star pizza never let me down, ok they dont have the best deco or a lot of tables but is take away for christ sake, and they have a fast delivery if u live in the region, the pizza is very tasty and the chips are ok, the people who comes here can be a problem, so i recomend that study the place before u get in

Although I’m in agreement with the reviewers who state it’s much safer to get take away pizza, the place has seemed to calm down in terms of knackers causing trouble, in recent months.

All day 5 euro for a 9 inch pizza with chips and a drink! This is an excellent offer and you’ll be stuffed. You can’t order BBQ chicken though which is my favourite.
Hate to be prudish but ONLY come here if you’re intending to take away, because of the run down location and cheap offers you get all sorts of dodgy folk in here.
One way to avoid this issue is to go literally across the road to Mamma’s Pizza which also has the 5 euro offer but much less dodgy traffic. Oh and this place does BBQ chicken, yuuum.
