If you’re looking for a nice spot out of the hustle and bustle of the South Williams street area then is is a good spot. Always seems to be busy but not to busy to keep up the speedy service. TBH. There is at anything fancy about this café buts if you’re just up for a quick filling but to eat that won’t break the bank then you’ve found it. The staff are quick at taking you’re order and your food will get out to you quickly too.

Great café in the middle of powerscourt shopping centre, this tucked away place is great for a bite to eat and unwind after a busy day around the city. The building is stunning so the setting in here is always gonna impress. Whether a full meal or just a cup of tea, this place is a great shout. Their brunch menu is a steal… Great value and some of the best prices this area of town.

We went here on a Saturday for a late lunch — this place was one of the only ones that had a quick moving line(Pepperpot was impossible to get into it). The lunch menu items are all Spanish themed — I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the mini burgers. Portions were decent and the food wasn’t bad. There was nothing spectacular about it either. The atmosphere is lovely though and you can see all the Christmas lights and shoppers scrambling around you. I also ordered a ice coffee — this drink is sweetend and comes with cream.

Had a very good, light lunch here. Spicy Spanish Chicken soup and Beetroot salad. Soup was nice for having a very clean and subtle flavor. Served with a crusty, wheat soda bread and butter. Beetroot salad had quinoa, pecans, goats cheese and a bit of lettuce and apples. Also very nicely balanced flavors. Free wifi was appreciated, too

Great food, very reasonably priced. Pleasant ambience in a gorgeous location. A bit of a haven from the shops of Grafton Street. We had the vegetarian quesidallas and bocadillas for lunch — really tasty and generous portions. They also have a bar here, and even do cocktails!

The café is nestled in powerscourt and it enjoys a wonderful location. The coffee ain’t bad but the scones are shaped like flying saucers and probably as chewy. Service slow but staff are pleasant enough. Lots of better places in this area but if you are with a group of 4 or more then space wise here makes sense.

In my experience the service was good and friendly. The food was in my table in less than 10 minutes. I had the chicken quesadillas, which were great, very tasty and came with a nice guacamole and a side salad. All ingredients were very fresh and there was no pressure to leave the table, as I stayed about 15 more minutes after I finished eating. I would really recommend this place. The surroundings are lovely and they play classical relaxing music in the background. The location is great as well, a little hidden though. I found it by surprise while exploring the area :)

Decent place for brunch or lunch. Came here few times for their soups and its delicious. However, the coffee is not great. Overall, good place, different vegetarian food options and delicious gelato.

So been here a few times for drinks/coffee etc and it’s been grand, great location, nice surroundings… First time for lunch, myself +4, today. The menu is decent, if a little pricey. The staff(those whom we encountered at least-one in particular) ruined the place for us. Abrupt, rude, impatient and getting orders wrong is not good enough when you’re paying € 10+ for basic tapas! Food was brought out at different times leaving two dishes to go cold waiting for others. No dishes were worth what we paid for them, badly presented and luke warm. Drinks were mixed up, and staff were near impossible to get hold of to change anything. We were also abruptly told we had to pay up front before even getting a glass of water. Pyg is full of nooks and crannies with multiple escape routes — if you were so inclined — so I understand their policy to an extent but the delivery of it could be handled better rather than the ‘money now!’ attitude we were faced with. All in all Pygmalion is nice if you want to hide out with a coffee or sit outside and watch the world go by, but I’ll be avoiding it for anything more than that.

The food was pretty tasty. The place was packed though and the service suffered. Sat for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Good brunch. My daughter liked the pancakes, croissant was very good and they have American options such as real lemonade and Ice tea

Pyg seems to be one of the busiest places in the lovely Powerscourt. The serve a decent breakfast, Nutella Pancakes perfectly excited is a guilty pleasure of mine. The lovely lunch menu has good varieties of delicious goodness(the spanish chicken soup is made with all the love in the world, guaranteed to make any rainy day seem a little better) Dinner is served as Tapas at the bar. Speaking of the bar, the seatings are really comfy and the atmosphere is nice. The cocktails are average though, sadly. I really like the bar(Or want to like it?) If you head to the place on a weekend you can see that people cannot find seatings as early as 3 pm. Which I think can be unbearable, I’ve really tried to have a good night there more than once but I always end up with an ear ache from trying to shout so that the person next to me can what I’m saying. I’m not sure where the problem is exactly but I think the dance floor is maybe unnecessary, It’s too small so people cannot really dance and they’re all jammed together and moving awkwardly(Pseudo-Nightclub atmosphere does not work well with the place). it’s also taking up space that could be used to seat everyone comfortably.

A very nice place to have a coffee after lunch. The place is a kinda of busy. The soup is about 6 euros and it is too little. But the chai latte and the carrot cake are superb. I recommend it!

I walked passed here quite often and thought I’d try it out when my mom came to visit. It’s always packed full of Dublin’s fashionable youths with great outdoor seating thats fantastic in summer. In winter they have outdoor heaters but theres nice indoor seats as well with comfy couches and dim lighting. The food is mainly the usually lunch kind i.e. Salads and sandwiches, but the tapas is nice. I had the poached egg and avocado tapas once and it was really nice, and the mini hamburgers look nice too. This time I had salad nicoise and the seared tuna steak as opposed to the usual tinned tuna was delicious! Also for only 12.50 euro, it was a good price too. I was expecting a bit more on the tapas menu though since there was only 3 things. If you sit outside you have to pay straight after you order since they want to avoid any eat and dash incidents. The service was good and loved the young vibe.

Great place for lunch in the city centre. Located right in the middle of the Powerscourt centre under a glass roof, creates a perfect daytime venue for lunch or Sunday brunch with quite affordable prices. Their Tuna Nicose salad, chorizo stew, home fries and sweet potato chips gonna get you addicted and you will come again and again. However during dinner they serve different menu with tapas which is not as impressive as lunch and more expensive. Would not recommend it in the evening at all.

Had the steak ciabatta which was nice, my friend had the caprese which was smothered in pesto, so much so that she had to scrape a lot of it off. Chips wer undercooked. My other friend was not impressed at all with the house salad. I was torn between two an three stars for it. However there was a Good atmosphere, I just wouldn’t be back for food. Eating is cheating anyway, liquid lunch it will be.

Hmmm, lot’s of people complaining about the service. I didn’t think it was too bad, the staff were at least friendly. My last visit was just before Christmas and of course it was packed. I was seated on a stool as it was just myself, and I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with salsa relish and sweet potato wedges for about € 12. I was expecting to wait a little bit longer than usual, as they were clearly very busy. My dish arrived within 20 minutes(i.e. 15 minutes for preparation and 5 minutes spent sitting at the wrong table before the waiter realized his mistake). However, not being in a huge rush, I wasn’t really bothered by the delay. The food was certainly gorgeous. When I ordered carrot cake for dessert, the smiley waitress explained that it would be ‘on the house’ because of the delay. Nice gesture, I thought. The cake was perhaps a bit too sticky and sugary for my liking, but all in all I enjoyed the food and would be back.

I had a great steak sandwich here the other day. It didn’t have a lot of fat on it either, which most places leave on making eating a steak sandwich difficult. It really hit the spot. I got the sweet potato fries as well, which were definitely worth it. I love them. I can not understand why more places do not serve them. Great service, very friendly and funny staff. I will definitely be going back. Two thumbs up!

Stopped by the Pygmalion Café for a snack between lunch and dinner. Linner, if you will. There were two sections to this restaurant and we tucked away in the less busy, darker, more intimate side since there weren’t any tables in other section. My friend and I both decided on getting the Smoked Salmon and Asparagus with a poached egg on top and some hollandaise sauce. I gotta say, that snack definitely hit the spot. The dish was listed under the starter side on the menu, but I thought it was a pretty generous portion for a starter. I left completely satisfied & wishing I had more. We also washed it down with a shot of Jameson… When in Ireland, right?

Very nice Unilocal event for us Elites last night. I really enjoyed the lovely cocktails and we had some interesting tapas; my favourites being the salmon, which had a bit of a kick from the chillies and some sweetness as well, but I loved the lamb kebabs. Omg, they were really yummy and I could have eaten the whole plate, but didn’t want to look like a pyg! Get it? The event was given a further boost because of the tour by Shireen/Miss Information, who gave us a first class history lesson of the premises. I loved it. My only criticism of the event was the coldness of the venue. I was completely frozen! Other than that, well done Unilocal,Emily and Pyg.

I was out with a pretty large group and they were the only place we could find with enough seating for us, which turned out to be great since it would be a first time for a lot of us to go(including myself). I am not a coffee fan, so I did not get any, but there were a lot of options and no one with me had anything bad to say about the coffee. I shared a Chocolate Oblivion with a friend and it was AMAZING. Very apt name. Other people got Vanilla Cheesecake, which they said was good, but they did not seam half as excited as myself about Chocolate Oblivion. Another person in the group got the Mini Irish Breakfast, which they said was great. Overall, it is great, but a bit pricey.
