«Bring Centre.» What a sensible name.
My apartment’s bins are communal, and the charges included in the rent, so I have no incentive to bring all of my trash here, but this is the only way that I can dispose of glass bottles. And boy, do I rack up glass bottles. I didn’t realize how much I drank until I started lugging them down the road every 2 – 3 weeks. But that’s another story.
What really sets this place apart in my mind is the service. «Service?» you might ask yourself, «At a Bring Centre?» Well, yes. Sorting bottles isn’t as easy as you might think. And when I showed up one morning with several large plastic storage containers the gents offer to take them to a charity shop instead. They don’t have to do things like that, but it sure is nice.

One of the ways to save colossal amounts of cash in these times of less than plenty is to find ways of doing stuff for less… Well done Q, now point out that you need a light to see in the dark.
OK, yeah, its obvious but I didn’t realise just how much we were spending on bin charges till I started making regular trips to the recycling centre and this is definitely one of the better ones.
Rathmimnes makes it easy, everything is separated into the correct bins — plastic, paper, cardboard, glass, paint, batteries and garden waste.
They are open virtually every day save Christmas day which means there is no excuse not to do it…
