Super cool place. During lunch time, we went to grab a bite and sat down for while. It was really crowded when we got there. I went for a very tasty, very big wrap filled with BBQ pulled pork and Asian slaw. Also took some fresh mint tea with it and my morning was perfect. You can just pick a spot right next to other people to start eating which I think is brilliant. It’s just super social. I really liked this and be sure to pay it a visit when you’re in the area. Prices are all worth it. Hard working staff, good food, good atmosphere, I say go for it!

I really like this place. Because it’s a bit far from the main roads, it is usually not crowded. The staff is super nice. The menu is quite short and simple but the dish are all good quality and quite healthy too. I went for brunch on weekend and I had the huevos rancheros which were really nice. Another time I tried the porridge which was good and the portion was really generous.

Great healthy and hipster lunch spot near my office. I’ve been a few times and the food is excellent. On the pricey side but the salad boxes are huge. My jerk chicken salad had loads of veg and rice for € 7.95 and kept me going till dinner time. They also do soups, pasta and hotpot dishes as well as coffee and(healthy) cakes. They have bench style seating which is grand but it’s always jammer at lunch so get in early. Oh, they do breakfast too but I haven’t tried that yet. If you’re in the area it’s worth a try!

Although I have been a staples food fan almost since they opened, I have to say that I feel as though the standard has dropped slightly since their move/new opening on grattan street! The curved street branch was far far more comfortable, and the new one almost seems industrial-esque? Very focused on the office lunch crowd, and always busy. The food is still good, though not quite the same amount of variety as there was before. I would, however absolutely love to try the brunch one weekend, both the huevos rancheros and pancakes look amazing ! Overall, still a nice place to go for lunch, I just feel as though it has lost its quirkiness or something with the move to the new location. I used to go to staple foods about 2⁄3 times a week last year, but now I’ve only been twice in the last semester, despite the fact that grattan street is far closer to my building on Pearse street than curved street! Would still recommend, however not as strongly as I would have before.

Went there for lunch on a Sunday. They have brunch items such as protein pancakes with yoghurt and blueberries, French toasts with bacon and maple syrup, protein pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, which seem to be the perfect healthy treats. As I already had breakfast I went for the falafel with hummus and salad. The portion was very generous I couldn’t finish. My friend had huevos rancheros which look delicious. Nice place and not too busy on a Sunday which is a good point!

Staple Foods on Grattan street, only across the road from 3Fe would be one of those hidden gems! Despite the location, this place is crazy popular and gets so packed on weekdays in addition to lots of Deliveroo deliveries that food tends to actually sell out by around 1pm. I noticed that the best time to come is between 12pm and 12:30 on weekdays as a lot of people who work around here come after that, so it gets full pretty fast with long queues. Weekends are much more relaxed so nothing ever sells out and there’s no queues or anything, so it tends to be a lot more quiet then. The weekday lunch menu has a lot of new stuff since when they used to be in Temple bar, and now in addition to their usual healthy salads and wraps, there’s hot dishes too like the quinoa bowl, pasta bowl, rice bowl, lentil and veg pot, veg stew etc. I love the baked falafel here as I don’t think anywhere else do baked falafel, so it’s nice and soft as opposed to crunchy. Their superfood bowl is pretty good too. The portions are massive by the way. On weekends, the brunch menu is different with mostly breakfast items like french toast and pancakes, although they have 3 salads on the menu(falafel, jerk chicken and superfood) for something more lunch. I really recommend the sweet potato hashes side dish, it’s really good! My mom had their french toast which was pretty large and very sweet, more like dessert or cake, but she really liked it. The staff are very nice, the service is efficient and the prices are cheap on weekdays(around 7 – 8 euro) but a bit more expensive on weekends(10 – 12 euro). I’m guessing because everything is served in takeaway boxes with disposable cutlery on weekdays while regular plates on weekends. Overall, bright and airy with plenty of seats, healthy food, extensive menu that caters for everyone and reasonable prices.

This place is great as good if not better than its Temple Bar spot. Cool space, nice and airy but still quite cool. Menu is the same, food was delicious as always and tonnes of it! Can’t beat it for a good salad!
