It’s not the real deal but does have some lovely designs.

Being a) a bloke and b) not a rapper, I’ve never actually bought anything in here for myself, but I’ve been known to buy the odd bit of bling for a lady friend in here. It’s all shiny stuff with tiny price tags with big numbers on them, but lads, if you’re clueless about the gift for the girlfriends birthday. Bring one of her mates here and get them to pick something out. Sorted.

Often cited in glossy magazines as being popular with A-list stars, Swarovski has a good reputation for adding a little glitz to any piece of jewellery. After visiting the shop on Henry Street, I think it’s all hype. The jewellery is nice but some of it is over the top and bordering on tacky. I have seen way better pieces designed by Irish jewellers(I’m thinking Barry Doyle) than by Swarovski. But if you believe in the hype come here. Swarovki can put crystals on about anything. They will crystallize your watch, mobile phone, cigarette case, pill box, etc. The shop on Henry Street also sells a glass menagerie made up mostly of exotic birds. There was a large parrot(or cockatoo) on display for the ridiculous amount of 200 Euro. I also saw little black pooches. I don’t know who buys these items.
