What can I say, this is an establishment in its own right. A true pub in every sense, always a good crowed esp at the weekends. Its a great pub to start your night off in…

I’m a strong fan of this pub. It’s an historic pub. There was a brief name change, we won’t mention that. Good spot in a good location and has some dark spots to chill in. There’s typical good music and again is a great date bar! I’d recommend this pub as your ancestors have very likely drank in it. Again I would give 3.5 stars, but Emily doesn’t allow that. Why not 4⁄5 stars. Crazy reason. They have removed most of upstairs It’s now a barbers! You can have a pint as you get a haircut. Day time only, sorry! I think they couldn’t fill it in the bust period, but they need to put the bar back upstairs as I had many good nights in it. The limited upstairs bar isn’t big enough, so kick out the barbers and I’ll update my review!

I only see tombstones in the eyes of the staff here… They’re all anticipating the day when they’re replaced by a kraft beer bar with homemade furniture, tattooed staff and a soundtrack of only Queens of the stone age, Arctic monkeys, black keys and Fleetwood Mac. Maaaayyybe stone roses too but I’m not sure if hipsters even sincerely like them anymore. Do they?

I just adore this place, what awesome staff, great array of drinks and oh my goodness the food! Do yourself a favour and get stuck into the Mussels. So so good.

Quite spacious and a typically Irish pub — they show sports events here so might get quite loud for a casual friendly chat. Also they have awesome gluten free beer, try Hambleton’s lager. It tastes awesome and has an amazing citrus aftertaste.

… Been here a few times years back however recently visited for a few after work drinks and this place was great fun. The inside is spacious enough, it’s little bit like nooks all about the place meaning there’s not a lot of wide open space for larger groups but as a group of like 10 or so, we got ourselves some outdoor seating with was great fun. The atmosphere was really good, a decent blend of people and not at all pretencious, just a really good casual spot. The bar service was quick and staff super friendly, ok to have a laugh with. It’s a great after work drink spot but also has TV’s dotted around making it a great place for watching sport. The have a bar food menu which is decent and priced well so not a place I always think about when it comes to grabbing a bit though must start noting this place!

This was my favorite pub when I visited Dublin. Such a huge place with many little nooks and seating areas to enjoy a good conversation and pint. The place is huge with two floors. You can almost get lost here. I found the bartenders to be friendly and attentive. The Guinness here is perfect. I did not have a chance to try the food however which is why i’m rating as four stars rather than five.

I was there recently while on a business trip and several years ago on family holiday. I enjoyed it both times. The Guinness was nice and cold. The food was good, I really enjoyed a spicy pizza. The kitchen could stay opened a little later. It’s an old place with lots of nooks and cranies, The kids really enjoyed roaming around, while we had a oint after a day of sightseeing.

What can I say about the Bleeding Horse? Well its a nice old pub I think, nothing special. You get good drinks, cozy atmostphere and friendly bar staff. The place is a bit of a maze, which I actually quite like, as you can often find a cozy nook or cranny to hide in. But then again, trying to find the nook and cranny your friends chose can be a bit of a nightmare!

Terrible. Don’t order the Guinness. Was in the area waiting for concert to start in Iveagh Gardens and couldn’t resist dropping in to such a famous pub for a pint. The pint was atrocious. Certainly the worst pint I’ve had all year. I can not remember another time that I left half a pint behind me. It was muck! Should have checked out the toilets first and would have saved myself the experience. Urine was walked out into the lounge area from toilet floors that were awash. Sheets of wet tissue littering the toilet floor. Will go back again — the week after hell freezes over.

I went to this pub for the fist time yesterday for some food. My friend ordered the Dublin Coddle and I got the mushroom soup. We weren’t too impressed to be honest, the coddle was lukewarm and way too salty and my soup was ok but I was very disappointed with the bread which was a bit bland. The waitress was really friendly though and overall it was a fun night but I wouldn’t go back for the food.

The Bleeding Horse is on my route to and from home when I head into the city, and I’ve been intrigued by the name of the pub. Assuming the bartender knew the correct story, it’s so named because this was the location where people would bring their horses to be «bled» the same way that people used to get that treatment medicinally. Luckily, I received much nicer attention when I was there on a Sunday night. Surely because of the day of the week, it was rather quite, but I was warmly welcomed by the barkeep, and I thoroughly enjoyed the old wood and general character of the place. I’ll definitely return.

We walk into a few places looking for a good Irish place. We are Irish, but we found such rubbish and tourist traps with no authenticity it was shocking. This place is lovely. Good staff, great pizza make in front of you. The Guinness is great and the location is great too. Definitely would go back.

I was referred to this pub by friends who said it was a great after work pub. I personally would give it a miss for the following reasons: –The service was slow even when it wasn’t busy. — I ordered food and it was cold and a tiny portion for the price. I was going to share the burger and chips with my friend(as I had asked the server in advance if it was enough to share) and it was a tiny burger(dry meat) and a small cup size of chips. I ordered a bowl of soup for something extra and it came cold and overly salted. — The food is overpriced for the value and quality. My attention from the bar staff was fair. Again, it was a slow time of the day, so I don’t know what it is like personally during a busy evening. If you want to go to a pub for food, this is not one to try. If you’re looking for a place to crash with friends after work or watch sports, then it might be worth a pint, but I think I’ve been to better.

I love the large space — loads of tables and nooks and crannies. It’s a good neighborhood spot for a beer, to watch a game, or to listen to some music. It’s not your standard pub by any means. It’s a bar with decent chips I might add. I’m giving it a three as the only downside is it could use a good spring cleaning to get the damp scent out of the air. However, I’ll meet for a pint there and especially enjoy the weeknights when it’s quieter and less jammed. Cheers!

I didn’t even know they had Unilocal in other countries. Anyway, spent 2 nights in Dublin a few summers back and ended up here both nights. First was for drinks before going to a rave down the street. Was jet-lagged but threw back some beers and had a great time. Second was a more extended stay for the England vs. USA World Cup match. I will never forget singing the Star Spangled Banner with a bunch of ex-pats and honorary Americans in this place, nor for… well let’s just say the rest of the night got interesting after this point…

I love the bleeding horse, possibly because its one of the first places I went to in Dublin when I started coming over. Its a sports bar /local /trendy bar depending on what day of the week and what sports on at the time. If you want to watch GAA, football or even cricket(you might have to request that one) then they will put it on for you. Its quite a big place and later on at the weekends a DJ does start banging out the tunes, so if you are not after that you maybe disappointed. Even though its big it has a lot of different rooms and corners and an upstairs with more rooms and corners. So its quite quirky in its design as well. Never tried the food so wont comment. Never actually seen anyone eating there either! One last tip if you have visitors, you can book a table and pour your own Guinness from selective tables.

Back in Dublin again and happy to stop in at one of my favorites(there are many) here in town: the Bleeding Horse. There’s something for just about everyone here. First of all, great beverages(like any Pub in Ireland); nice atmosphere with high ceilings; music in the evenings and great food. Service is excellent. The Bleeding Horse runs some good daily specials on the food that are worth checking out and considering. I thoroughly enjoy their basic Irish Stew(see picture) and is favorite The lamb is lean… no fatty pieces; rich sauce that pairs well with the hearty brown bread. My colleague had the daily meat pie. It looked great(see pic). He liked it. I might try it, but will always be tempted by the Irish Stew.

The Bleeding Horse is probably my local… I don’t really have a local, but this is the bar I have consistently being going to over the last ten years that I’ve been living in the area. Its a grand place for a quiet drink during the week, before the DJ arrives. Even after that its enjoyable. On Fridays and Saturdays, later on in the night it fills up and the music volume goes up a notch. But its still pleasant and usually it doesn’t get too jammers. The music was good tonight, standard mix of new pop music and old pop music. The service was fine and the drink on offer the usual bar /pub fare. It’s a good place for sport too, with lots of TVs around the place. So if there are two big sporting events on, they’ll be showing both. I’ve not tried the food in a long time, so cannot comment on it. But if memory serves me, I’ve told myself not to order food here again. But as I’ve said, I’ve not tried the food here in a long time. It serves its purpose and does it fine.
