Never had a great experience here. It’s a bit of a messy nightclub and staff are rude.

Back in Dtwo for ROIs first game of the euros(COYBIG) I was impressed by a number things: Lots of seats and tables set in front of the many many screens, inside and out — still get their early if you want a seat. Reserving of said seats and tables for groups, including some for our group — again another reason to get there early if you want a seat. The platters of food was not bad at all. Their 5 for 20EUR on buckets of bottled Heineken or Corona was excellent value and useful(more on why later). Colour coded wrist bands to groups lucky enough to be on bar tabs, makes so much sense! A few cons: No TV commentary piped into the beer garden and this affected the atmosphere for sure. I left before the final whistle(unavoidable) and I found the TV noise coming from the nearby Odeon bar to be much better fun, even from the street. Massive queues for the bar and not enough staff serving. Hence the reason why the buckets of beer came in so handy. Still not on the top of my list, but it was the best fun I’ve had in a bar like this for a long time. And the first time I’ve enjoyed watching the boys in green for an even longer time. Even if it was a draw. COYBIG

You pay for all the bad things ! I really don’t know in all my reviews this has to be the worse experience ever from staff to hot drinks ! Staff actually don’t care, all so much chatting to eachother and haven’t got a clue how to greet or have the basic customer service . Our table of all day where not collected even though there was staff At the bar 4 staff stood chatting while me any another customer tried order«warm«over priced drinks They had no constep of customer service I ask why drinks where warm and was told it was way it was Worse experience ever My conclusion go to diceys, half priced drinks and you get a hello and cold drink ! Actually worse bar in Dublin and that’s saying something !

Been to dtwo a few times and normally have a good night until me and sister went on Saturday night. We arrived at the door round 11.45 where the bouncer was all smiles until he looked my British passport and then we were told if we didn’t have a booking then we couldn’t get into the nightclub. This had never happened me before so I asked a few others that were standing at the door if they had a bookings and everyone said no, most of them didn’t even think dtwo took bookings for their club. And, of course, everyone that we spoke to then got into the night with ease. I do not know if it was because of me being from Northern Ireland with a British passport or if the bouncer just took a sudden dislike to my sister and I but the situation was shocking and surprising as normally bouncers are great craic in Dublin. Anyway, we ended up in diceys which is just across the street and had one of the best nights out in a long time. Will definitely be going back.

Good carvery at lunch times, but steeper in price than Diceys across the road but at least the place doesn’t smell of stale cider and students. Their default position on curry dishes is half rice half chips, they are to be applauded for this alone! Somebody will come and take your plate away if you leave it unattended for 5 milliseconds. Be on your guard.

The only place to be on a Thursday night! Since moving to Dublin as a student I have been to a good few different clubs on Harcourt Street, but Dtwo is without a doubt my favourite. The music is always fun and great to dance to, a mixture of current chart music and some good old fashioned throwbacks! The venue is nice and big, but not so much so that you can’t find your friends. There is a rustic feel to the smoking area, and also a burger bar if the hunger pans hit! I haven’t personally bought food there yet but I hear the burger is delicious and reasonably priced. Top tip– use Guestlist guide to get in for free before 11:30!

Great outdoors place that also contains a BBQ place that makes pretty decent food. The place is a regular waterhole serving the regular beer. Insides is a bit messy and dark, noisy too. Shoots are not served in shoot glass but in regular glasses.

Having read through what other people said about Dtwo, i’m not surprised to see that the consensus appears to be «decent bar, bad staff». Actually, i think Aidan A put it exactly the way I was going to, so i’ll have to rephrase a few things here!!! I can’t speak for the club, which is apparently«a closet with flashing lights» according to one of my mates, which is a view I can’t endorse because I haven’t been down there, but it’s a funny line! My main experience of the place was during the world cup last year. I found it a decent venue for watching games, especially in the beer garden, which is very pretty and has various different levels and corners, and the décor inside is nice. The problem, as is always the case with popular drinking spots close the the city centre, is the staff. They are chippy and rude most of the time. Worse still are the bouncers. My last visit was for a work Christmas party. My boss had booked a corner of the bar for the staff and all of the students. Also, the bouncers presumably must have known to expect that a group of 35 were coming in to their pre-booked section of the bar, but one of the students arrived slightly behind the rest, and upon entry, he was very violently pushed back out on account of wearing tracksuit pants. I really do wish i was quick enough on the draw to have taken out my phone and filmed the altercation so i could post the video along with this review in order to name and shame the bouncer, but no such luck. Being a bouncer is a tough and horrible job and they take a lot of shit, but there was clearly no excuse for this. The student in question wasn’t even being in any way rude. Basically, its good for a game, and an afternoon pint. Bad for clubbing, bad for staff party’s.

I can agree with others(for a change) and say good and bad. The nightclub downstairs is more like a small room, but a bit of seating at the back. It’s here I had a glass of vodka and 7UP thrown in my face for absolutely no good reason. It tasted nice but was uncalled for. Don’t arrive too late because they’ll beckon you down to the nightclub and charge you in. Really you should kick off in the bar and go down if you want to! The bar is good. There are a couple of issues — the bar staff can be rude, the bouncers are arrogant. It’s really Coppers poor cousin. I’m giving three on a round up from 2 as I am trying to be positive. It’s really somewhere to go time to time and for the bar rather than the nightclub, so look we will say it’s middle of the road.

I went there to have a Company dinner and I’m not sure I liked it a lot. The food was not very good and they don’t have vegetarian dishes available. I think the best think about this place are the waitress who are very friendly and helpfull.

I was here for a work event, we had rented out the beer garden for our annual summer party, which is great this included 3 drink vouchers and a food voucher, great way to start an evening. We walk and and are greeted by the least happy doorman I have ever met and that is saying something in Dublin. Next stop is the bar, I order a koppaberg, which my voucher is not valid for, when I ask him what it is valid for he looks at me like I am an idiot and points and grunts towards the products they have on tab, now I am not saying he needs to be happy go lucky or anything but a smile and an actual answer would have been nice, no bother we are all still in a good mood. The venue itself is pretty great, the beer garden is very large and it seemed to be where people spend the start of their evening, later on in the evening we go to dance downstairs, they had these super cool masks, drink in hand we all headed to the dance for, I was before even going down the stairs to the dance floor pushed away by security while he yelled ”no drinks on the floor”, well I am awfully sorry, there were no signs and plenty of people had drinks and also no need to get physical. I have never gotten worse service in my life. A friend of mine was kicked out for asking for tab water, he was eventually let in again but the whole staff was just rude and had an attitude, perhaps you want to move away from the hospitality business if you can not smile at your customers. I was actually horrified and so were a lot of my coworkers. I really hope that someone working there reads this and actions on it because it has the potential to be so so great if they treated their PAYING guests as human beings.

Beer garden is great on a summers evening. Good for parties as lots of private sections & outdoor heating. However the toilets in the beer garden leave a lot to be desired. Flithy. The BBQ food was ok, standard affair.

I’ve been there many times because it was very close to where I worked. The place it self is big but doesn’t look great. Fake waterfall and plants. But it’s big, they have a huge outside area, they have a club downstairs, the beer is not expensive. Never really crowded so that’s nice. They had an awesome BBQ event a few weeks ago, that was really fun!

I’ve been here a few times over my student years and I just remember it being a bit grubby, especially the downstairs. The upstairs is a bit better but the bar area is usually empty and the dance area very small. The smoking area is cool but that’s not really any use to me. Music can be pretty decent here, still chart and pop but they play some 90s stuff which is fun.

Love love the beer garden here. lovely for the summer. As a bar and nightclub — all right. venue wise its nice. spacious comfy etc. But music is very tacky and main stream which isnt my cup of tea so depending what you are into… thats just my personal opinion as I prefer the grunge type bars . You get a «pleasent» crowd … but a varied«pleasent» crowd. so it can range between college students. After work crowd … organised crowds I.e. large mixture of people attending for a 30th /60th. tourists(as its part of a hotel) . So I think this is good depending on the reason you are here. I came for a work night out my boss brought everyone in the office out so was good to be somewhere general like here to suit everyone. then I also came with a few of the girls for a night out and had a terrible time … if use get me? Bad and good parts and all cancel each other out. . Food served is ok for dinner but its one of the best spots for lunch !!! Super cheap and tasty sambos and soup !

I love D2 Nightclub! It’s one of my favourites! Great music, underground dance floor, young crowd(mainly students) and seems really popular with tourists as well. Like most music venues it gets pretty crowded on the weekend, but a lot of my college after parties are here so it’s great. The atmosphere is always really lively too. They also have a few bars and the service is quite efficient, the drink prices being kind of the same as every other club. But otherwise, this is a nice classy club.

Dtwo is fairly inoffensive. One of those middle of the road places that won’t really bug anyone, but I don’t think it would excite them either. I’d say it’s a smokers paradise which is a bit wasted on me. It has a lovely huge beer garden with a water feature and all which is nice during the Summer. But other than that? Not really my speed!

The most convoluted food ordering system I have ever experienced. If I hadn’t been there for a charity table quiz I would have walked out and gone elsewhere. So, what happened? I asked 5 different members of staff to order some food. Apparently this was totally out of the ordinary as nobody seemed able to take my order. First I wanted a menu so I asked at the bar. They pointed towards the tables. All I could find were drinks menus. Right, I’ll pop outside to the beer garden with my friends. Maybe there are some there. Nope. I ask another member of staff. Apparently I need to talk to the floor staff. Can’t find any. Ask at another bar. Am told I need to ask in the other room. Right. I go back to the main area and find someone on the floor. They can’t take my order because I’m seated in the other room. Ok then. Back I go. Finally found a helpful member of staff who, while he couldn’t take my order himself, found me someone who could. Ridiculous. The food itself was tasty(we had the nachos and wedges) but the fact that nobody seemed able to take my order was really off putting. They have toilet attendants blocking access to the paper towels and looking for tips which I always find a bit uncomfortable. Nice beer garden but I won’t be back.

A great spot in the heart of the capital with an outdoor area on different levels and a giant outdoor screen, which can be seen from the European Unilocal HQ. The food is awesome and the drinks… they don’t have Murphy’s! The staff is on fire and really pays attention, well done, peeps! The entire location is decorated with flags of the different counties of Ireland, but foreigners are welcome as well.

I’ve been to a weird selection of events at Dtwo — of course there’s the usual nightclub, which really is its main business. It’s mainstream enough and atmospheric enough without going too far down the uncivilised road… they generally have a great halloween party. Its also quite a large pub venue too, and there’s a big beer garden. Once I was at a private party BBQ in the beer garden area and that was pretty good. And recently enough I went to a pub quiz downstairs in the club area. it wouldn’t be my first choice of venue, but its one of those places that people tend not to have strong objections to.
