Cold beer and very clean restrooms. Can’t go wrong stopping here.

What a great place for a traveler. The owners were very generous about giving history of Ireland. The other people in the bar, the regulars were very friendly and kind. All in all, a great first experience in Ireland.

Nothing more than a usual irish pub. No big deal on Wednesday evening. Very quiet for over 40 years old people.

A tiny and friendly pub with impromptu music sessions. No amplification, all Dublin amatteur singers and one is expected to stay quiet or join in with the singer if you know the words. Compared to the commercialism and din in Temple Bar its great to find a genuine local unplugged music session. This is real Dublin and the pint of Guinness is superb also. People are very friendly and if you you sing you will be their friends forever.

I liked this place so much I insisted we go back, after being gone from Dublin the first time, and tooling around Ireland elsewhere for a few days. It definitely seems like a locals place although we did talk to other tourists here who were very cool. Closed the place the 2nd time. They have live music, which was great. It’s a small spot but cozy. I will definitely want to return at some point when we get back to Dublin!

When I first sought to review this place it was listed as a book shop. Having visited this fine establishment I can confirm reading material is available but they are more of a Evening Herald type then the complete works of Emily Bishop. The pub itself is newly renovated and looks really well. The staff are dubs which gives a more local feel to the intimate surroundings. The Guinness is great and there is live music most nights. The street its on is a little tougher then the main streets but this means that there are more gardí patrolling the place! The manager is a lovely women named Monica who will have a massive welcome for everybody.
