The Grafton Lounge

First time here and I was really impressed. We got there at about 3pm and the place had a few customers sitting inside and outside and it was really nice and chilled. The staff were lovely and attentive and the menu was great. I had a really tasty lamb burger served in a flat bread with potato bites and it was very good. Lots of flavour and very juicy. I then had the chocolate brownie and ice-​cream and it was served warm and it was so gooey and delicious. I scraped the plate clean. It was well priced too. I will be back to check out more of the menu.

I’ve been here a few times for a drinks at night or coffee in the afternoon. Its always either been crazy busy– mostly the obvious weekend nights– or very quiet. They have a small terrace outside which is pleasant in the warm weather and they also have a few window tables, which are great for watching the world slowly go by.
The staff are always pleasant and they seem to get a real mixture of customers including office staff and young trendies. They have a good selection of beers on tap and I believe they do a small range of cocktails too.

Been here a few times for cocktails only!
I think it’s got a nice vibe about it.
My favourite part is that any time I’ve been is that they do two for one cocktails.
Cocktail I’d recommend you try? Gotta be the Solero :)

siempre nos gusta pasar por grafton lounge a mi y mi grupo de amigos al empezar la noche, el ambiente es selecto y los cocktails son geniales, no es un lugar muy grande pero si no llegas pronto probablemente ya no te dejen pasar a menos que tengas reserva.
Un sitio original y diferente, me encanta cuando tocan el saxofón o los timbales en directo!

Firstly… Why is there a toilet attendant in JUST the mens toilets? A lot of places I have noticed doing this because men will inevitably be the ones feeling uncomfortable if they do not root around in their pockets to give money to someone for standing there with blue paper and soap when all you want to do is take a p1ss in peace. Women seem to have more sense in this regard and don’t tip.
Toilet attendants belong in the Celtic Tiger era. They make me feel uncomfortable and not want to go to the toilet. There was also no soap in the Grafton Lounge’s own soap dispensers so you had no choice but to look for soap off the attendant.

OK so that out of the way the following is also what irritated the BEJAYSUS out of me on Friday night.
We arrived just after 4pm. It was nice and quiet and they had 2 for 1 cocktails which is great and the cocktails were surprisingly nice. We ordered the Istanbul platter, mainly because of the hummous and falafel. We got our platter and there was no hummous. We said it to the girl who was serving us and she went to the kitchen to find out. She came back and said they didn’t have any. That was not her fault, that was the fault of the chef. If you are serving a platter with falafel and hummous then it does not take a genius to know that hummous is an major part of this.
As the bar started to fill up the cocktails went from pretty good to glasses of sugar and ice with no alcohol. Not sure of this is on purpose or because they got busier they started making them half arsed.
The crowd were awful. Absolutely horrific.
We got so irritated by the crowd and the bad cocktails that we left. Could not actually be dealing with the place any more.
The girl who served us was lovely and most of the servers were to be honest. The door staff seemed gruff to others as we were leaving but didn’t have any dealings with them personally.
Horrible place. Wont be back.

Last night I witnessed a deplorable situation at your venue that was a first for me in Dublin! Having entered into your bar with two of my best friends at around 12:30 to join some other friends for a birthday party, we bought a round of drinks and were enjoying the night before one of your security personnel decided to racially profile my two friends and force them outside. Once outside they were subject to a series of false accusations that allegedly they were smoking weed in the smoking area. This occurred only 10 minutes after gaining entry which raises even more questions around the competence of your door staffs ability to exercise reason and intelligence when dealing with serious allegations such as this. This was blatant racial profiling that verged on defamation. I walked in with them and wasn’t asked outside and your security guy told them they wouldn’t be allowed back in. We barely touched our drinks and went nowhere near the smoking area! Nothing they could say would make a difference.
I don’t expect anything to come from this outside of my attempt to make as many people as I can aware of your unprofessionalism and disrespect! We’re three decent guys that didn’t deserve that experience and I’ll be doing everything I can to ensure that everyone I know avoids your venue. I’ll also be submitting a letter to the Immigration Council, Equality Authority and a complaint to both Delta Security and your own management. It’s a shame that such a great venue can allow itself to be diminished by ignorance and bad management like this. For those reading this! If you’ve a diverse group of friends, be cautious here.

Stopped in here for lunch and really enjoyed the contemporary, urban hip atmosphere, food and service. The menu selection was creative. I ordered the crispy chili chicken wrap, a delicious combination of chicken, white cheddar, rocket, tomato and onion service with hand cut crispy chips complimented with glass of French Sauvignon Blanc. Nice wine list and drink menu.
I normally abhor TV’s in restaurants. They do have a large screen TV but the volume wasn’t turned up high, even though and there was a popular rugby match being broadcast so they score points with me for that!

Newly renovated and much nicer then it was. Great seating area and really nice décor. The lunch is really good — I had a meatball sub yesterday that was fantastic as is the pulled pork sandwich. It’s somewhere I like to go during the day but not really my scene at night

I have never been to Grafton Lounge at nighttime but have heard nothing but great things but I have been for Lunch on many a occasion and yet to be disappointed by the outstanding food which is put in front of me, Dining in the Grafton Lounge is just a great experience its so relaxed and chill and the waiting staff are very friendly and personable my personal favourite dish in Grafton Lounge is the Cesar Salad with Home Fries which together are brilliant. The prices within Grafton Lounge are very reasonable and the overall experience is brilliant would highly recommend it to anyone.

It’s 12.30 on a Friday night, you’re out for drinks in the Grafton Street area and you feel like swinging your hips a little without paying cover at this time of the night. My buddy had this genius idea of dropping by at this place — oh well.
The place is fairly big, with a dance floor, a lounge area and some tables. A bit irritating that there was music playing but the DJ was nowhere to be seen, and when he showed up, he gladly ignored requests from the mostly super drunken crowd.
Since the music was the same as in every other bar, the drinks as expensive as anywhere else, and the crowd extremely drunk and annoying, I don’t think that place will see me again in the near future. You get what you pay for!

Dropped in here on Saturday for a beer with my good wife. We sat in the window watching the world go by. Good service and nice place to drop in.

Went here because I had a coupon from livingsocial and it was pretty nice. I did expect it to be nicer due to pictures on the website, but it was still really nice inside and the drinks were pretty good.
They have drink deals on certain nights, and it was difficult to see the sign so my friend and I were not sure if what we were ordering was a 2for1 deal, which was a nice surprise whenever it happened.
We got a Whiskey Sour, Rasmopolitan and Sorelo. The Rasmopolitan had little bits of raspberry in the bottom, which was an unpleasant surprise because it seemedl like the drink had pulp in it. How ever, the other 2 drinks were great and I really want to try Sorelo ice cream now – never heard of it before and that fantastic drink is supposed to taste just like it.
Service to pick up empty glasses were on top of things, but to take your order it was a bit difficult to get anyone.
