I’ve past the front of this venue many a times. Never venturing in. Well took up the courage and the adventure spirit to have a look. So glad I did. My pool game might be way off but the venue and craic was great. It’s a BYOB place and a nice surprise is they have provide mini fridges everywhere. Good selection of tables across three floors, and atmosphere is friendly. Location just is inside one of Dublin’s busy areas which is great, if you are wanting to kill some time while in the city

To know, I only inspected the place and left. Can’t properly judge it. To keep in mind, they have only snooker tables(that’s what I call ‘em). No 8 ball pool tabled here. Two things got worried me. First, entrance door has been lock and we were let in by staff once he identified us over the window. Second, there was only a single guy(a member of staff) sitting in the glass protected booth. Didn’t give us the«safest place in Dublin» feeling. Tables are nice and tidy, tho. There’s second level with few more tables. We ended up going to Planet Murphy’s, which appeared to be degraded even more since my last visit. But still, a good value and no trouble there.

Oh the Hideout. Mention this place to most Dubs my age and they’ll immediately reminisce about those heady teenage days, when pubs were out, but seediness still meant that you were cool. No matter how much time you spent there, the girls never improved(I remember 1 game between me and my friend lasting for an hour… unintentionally and certainly not due to the high level of ability on show…) and the boys showed off with hopping the balls all over the place. If you’re looking for a pool hall in the vicinity, it’s probably the best one around, though that’s not saying much to be honest, as there’s not the greatest choice to be honest. Just the right amount of dimness conceals the less-than-freshly-painted walls, while the clientele is… interesting…
